Reviews mention

  • Hilarious, high-energy gameplay
  • Simple, accessible ruleset
  • Engaging, social experience
  • Abundant, creative expansions
  • Explicit, polarizing content
  • Diminishing shock value
  • Occasionally outdated references
  • Audience-dependent enjoyment

Cards Against Humanity wins big in reviews for delivering uproarious, easy-to-learn party play that sparks belly laughs, quick bonding, and late-night chaos—especially with larger groups and expansion packs—so yes, it works. Reviews also flag clear drawbacks: humor can be crass/NSFW and alienating for sensitive or mixed-age crowds, cards lose shock value with repetition, and some prompts feel dated or hard to play with certain audiences.

  • This is really fun. I played this a few times with friends and family. It is different and a good way to spend some time together.

  • The first thing that came to my mind is that it can be very inappropriate but also very funny to play with friends.... well friends who aren't conservative lol hahaha

  • Not well made products. My experience was fair, so not worth the purchase.

    Feedback

Need better products and better explanation, and directions.

  • Great game that's easy to travel with and fun to play with a big group.

    Feedback

    So fun!

  • A perfectly raunchy and funny game to play with friends! We always have a great time while playing.

    Feedback

No feedback, we love the game!

  • Participated in a a few rounds at some house parties I’ve been at. All I can say is, it’s not a game for the drunk cause I’ve seen it get dicey. It’s a nice game overall and can be really fun if ya nasty like that lol.

    Feedback

    Not for everyone. But fun.

  • Fun game, the extension packs are fun. Don't play too much anymore though, honestly, feels a bit out of touch these days.

  • Probably one of the best games to play with a group of friends. Completely politically incorrect and vulgar.

    Feedback

    Nothing wrong with the game.

  • Great game. Great concept and execution. This is a staple in our house for when new people come over.

    Feedback

It’s expensive to buy new packs, but understandable. You can only play 3-4 times before the cards get old.

  • I like the game, but some cards are outright insensitive and/or racist. I guess it depends on who you're playing with though.

    Feedback

insensitive/racist cards should have been looked into

  • Adult apples to apples. What's not to love about this? Super fun to play at a game night and will get everyone involved and laughing.

    Feedback

The game can get a little repetitive unless you buy the expansion packs which is a little annoying.

  • Loved the game when it first came out and I do appreciate that they are constantly creating new packs, but after a few games it gets old.

  • I recently played this game with my new coworkers and it was a great way to get to know everyone and their humor. I just wish the cards were a little funnier but that's a personal preference.

  • This game is hilarious. I've owned the main box plus three expansions for almost 10 years now. I think I'll break it out again since it's been a while but it will always be one of my favorite easy party games

  • This game at first was super fun. However there is not a lot of replay-ability. I didn’t find this quite as enjoyable as it should be anymore.

    Feedback

    The prompts get outdated quickly.
