Reviews mention

  • Exceptionally comfortable cushioning
  • Lightweight, travel-friendly construction
  • Machine-washable, easy maintenance
  • Sustainable, minimalist aesthetic
  • Limited arch support comfort
  • Faster-wearing outsole tread
  • Wool uppers stain easily
  • Toe-box fabric thins

Allbirds earns strong reviews for exceptional comfort, light weight, and machine-washable ease, making Tree Runners, Wool Runners, and loungers reliable everyday and travel shoes; however, many note limited support for long walks/runs, faster tread wear and toe holes, wool styles running warm and staining easily, narrow sizing without half sizes, and a polarizing, sometimes “dated” look. Overall, the brand is good for casual wear and sustainability-minded buyers, but not ideal for heavy-duty performance or those needing robust arch support and long-term durability.

  • I've bought two different pairs of shoes from this company, and they never fail to impress. I love their mission for sustainability, and their shoes are super comfy! They make for a great casual office shoe, or for a simple day out.

  • Allbirds plays the eco-friendly card well with materials like merino wool, scoring points for sustainability and comfort. They strike a balance with a minimalist design that's easy on the eyes and versatile for casual wear. Just a heads-up, the soles might show wear sooner than you'd expect, but overall, they're a decent pick for the environmentally conscious.

  • They aren’t hot. I’m sorry, and if you’re going to do comfortable, they aren’t the best at that. But kudos for the sustainability angle. I’d rather buy sketchers. But of course i won’t.

  • I was impressed by the quality!!! While I personally wouldn't trust Allbirds to run long distance in, I have a friend who reports good experience with this and I find them aesthetic, comfortable and well-built. The mission is amazing; I used to think that sustainable shoes would never be possible but Allbrids changed my mind!!

  • Bought a pair of the tree breezers which are like ballet style shoes. They are so comfortable and look nice. Can easily wear to work. New shoes always give me a heel blister but these did not. I want more!

  • I bought a pair of the allbirds flats, and they were very comfortable. I didn't end up wearing them all too often because they were a little bit too casual, but I often take the insoles out of the Allbirds flats and put them in other flats to make them a little more comfortable. I've never owned their sneakers or other shoes, but I've purchased them as gifts for friends/family, and I've always received very good reviews from them people who I've purchased them for.

  • This review is on behalf of my mom, who has only the best things to say about her Allbirds. She raves about the comfort and the way they look and has purchased several pairs since trying them. She loves them so much that she convinced my stepdad to purchase a pair and is constantly trying to talk me into purchasing.

  • Wonderful as an everyday shoe. Comfy and customer service is kind and helpful. Their styles tend to be limited which is a bit sad. Clothing is also quite comfortable and holds up well.

  • I've had mixed experiences. Most pairs have been great but sizing between styles seems to vary considerably. With wide feet, I feel some of the "runners" are very snug while the OG pairs work well. Would be nice to have more waterproof / cold weather suitable pairs for winter in the North East.

  • I have 2 pairs of Allbirds, the wool runners, and the wool dashers. They're comfortable, but I have a lot of comfortable shoes, and I wouldn't say they're exceptional in that regard. I've had the wool runners for a couple years and they're definitely starting to fall apart as they have seen some heavy wear. I've washed them in the washing machine a couple times to clean them (it works). Mostly I like that I can wear them without socks and I can slip them on quickly. (PSA the wool runners are not actually running shoes, they're more for walking/errands, etc). The wool dashers however... I don't think Allbirds is specialized in running shoes so I don't know why I thought it was a good idea to buy them, other than I thought they looked slightly more stylish than the runners. The amount of heel cushioning seems completely excessive. They're also not as slip-on like as the wool runners so I don't gravitate toward them as much, as I have separate shoes for exercise (I literally would not wear these to exercise unless it was an accident). I also met a shoe designer once who basically said Allbirds is innovative for its materials, but they don't know how to design shoes soooooo.... there's that. Overall, I don't hate Allbirds, the dashers are disappointing, but the wool runners also saved me when I injured my toe in the winter and couldn't wear normal closed toed shoes for a couple weeks, so 4 stars for that.

  • allbirds are the comfiest shoes ever! Sustainable materials and minimalist design meet pure coziness. Perfect for your feet and the planet. Walk in comfort, walk with purpose.

  • Hard to give an honest review separate from how the brand lands on a certain target audience. Anyway I’m super not into it.

  • The shoes are fine. They are comfortable and breathe well and the design has become iconic. But they do not last as long as even Amazon knockoff versions of this same brand. The quality would need to be markedly improved for me to become long term buyer

  • I got their running shoes and I would say the design makes my whole body moves forward a little bit so it's definitely interesting. Very comfortable shoes, also bought a pair for my mom. I tried washing them but they didn't come out so hot so I probably won't do it again. I think it's pricey for what it is, and the design is pretty basic.

  • Everybody talks about the Allbirds shoes but that won't be me; I have never worn a pair (I'm looking for zero drop and wide toe boxes like Altra and Topo). But I have a bunch of their t-shirts and shorts and they're fantastic. Even with the wool they feel soft, don't get stinky, look fresh even when worn, and never get too hot. Pretty pricey for day-to-day but I've bought them off Woot (an Amazon discount brand) and will buy more when they come up.

  • I’ve had my Allbirds for a few years now in the original wool style. Pros: they’re incredibly comfortable. Cons: you will look like a Silicon Valley VC bro. This could be a me problem, but I’ve noticed that they smell verrry funky after a while to the point that I hesitate to wear them. They are machine washable though!

  • I love these! I have two pairs of their flats (pink & black) and they look cute with everything AND are super comfortable. I have been stalking them for a year now and they finally went on sale.

  • When the first wool runner came out, everyone was wearing them. They perfected the balance between sneaker and slipper, and still continue to do so. Not overpriced, either.
