Aesop earns strong reviews for luxurious scents, elegant packaging, and body-care standouts like Resurrection and Reverence Aromatique Hand Washes, yet opinions split on value. Reviews praise sensorial formulas that feel indulgent and often effective for hands and body, while noting weaknesses: high prices, plastic/leaky pumps, perfumes with short longevity, and some skincare that irritates sensitive skin or underperforms.

Most scents, even ones I initially like, eventually give me a headache if it's too strong or constant. This never happens to me with Aesop's scents. Everything they make smells so calming and natural, and the packing looks exquisite. It's pricey for sure, but a splurge well worth the money for me. My favorites are their hand creams and their deodorants. Both amazing smelling, natural, and non-irritating.
Own many MANY many products from Aesop. Have also gifted countless amounts. Would recommend. Such a treat.

Love the packaging and branding of Aesop products and the unique fragrances. I am especially fond of the massage oil and toothpaste.

If Aesop used only clean ingredients, I'd be much more likely to be willing to spend the higher price tag for their products!
These hand soaps smell so good and luxurious. Using them makes me feel fancy and they keep my hands feeling soft as well. I hate it when my hands dry out when using hand soap and I tend to wash my hands with soap like 40 times a day.
Aesop is such a treat. I love giving it as a gift as it's a nice little piece of luxury and the smell is phenomenal. My favorite is the hand balm in the "Resurrection" scent.
Natural, soothing, nourishing. Can’t go wrong with anything for yourself or a gift. Haven’t tried anything AESOP that I regretted.
okay so the full experience is having a sales rep wash your hands as soon as you walk in the store. honestly, love it. just pricey
Aesop’s Resurrection Aromatique Hand Wash is the ultimate in luxurious hand care! The formula is gentle yet effective, leaving my hands feeling soft, clean, and refreshed without drying them out. The scent is divine—herbal and citrusy, it’s both invigorating and calming, turning a simple hand wash into a sensory experience. I also love that it’s made with high-quality ingredients, reflecting Aesop's commitment to premium skincare. If you're looking for a hand wash that’s both indulgent and effective, this is a must-have! 🌿💧

Rejuvenate Intensive Body Balm: While it has a nice citrus-y scent, it's not as moisturizing as I hope it would be. It does absorb quickly though.
Smells good but overpriced. If I wanted to pay that much, I like their hand soap and hand lotion but wouldn't use their products for proper skincare (eg. face, body)
Everything smells amazing, I love the soap and body wash. Personally don’t like hair products. Is a bit pricey.

I wish Aesop wasn't so damn good. I am a loyal customer and will likely be for many more years, or at least until another brand comes close! Current favorite: Hwyl !!!
Expensive but smells wonderful. Just paying a lot for the branding.

Products are incredible, with amazing scents and feel. They tend to last a long time but are amazingly expensive for what they are. Good for gifts for a special occasion or for someone who has everything.
if you want to feel rich rich then use aesop! it’s so luxe smelling and feeling i want it for all my products. we keep the post poo drops in our guest bathroom and it makes it feel like a spa experience
I feel like the smell and look are better than the products themselves for the price.
a little luxurious for personal consumption but perfect for gifting!
great
I love the smell of Aesop products, as well as the packaging! I am currently using geranium moisturizer, which comes in a metal tube, as well as the Tacit scent. Both of them have a very fresh smell, which reminds me of walking into my favorite local flower shop. Their customer service folks also did a great job helping me find a perfume to match the freshness of the geranium scent. The main negative is that the scents just don't last very long. This is especially disappointing with the eau de parfum.
