Reviews mention

  • Luxurious, earthy fragrance profiles
  • Elegant, minimalist packaging
  • Indulgent, sensorial hand washes
  • Compliment-worthy, unisex perfumes
  • Excessive, premium price point
  • Inconsistent perfume scent longevity
  • Plastic, leaky pump bottles
  • Irritating, fragrance-heavy skincare

Aesop earns strong reviews for luxurious scents, elegant packaging, and body-care standouts like Resurrection and Reverence Aromatique Hand Washes, yet opinions split on value. Reviews praise sensorial formulas that feel indulgent and often effective for hands and body, while noting weaknesses: high prices, plastic/leaky pumps, perfumes with short longevity, and some skincare that irritates sensitive skin or underperforms.

  • This lotion is so moisturizing and smells wonderful. I wash my hands a lot at work and carry this in my bag. When I went in store they were nice enough to give me samples too. The store was inviting. I really love this lotion and bought a triple lotion thing too. Overall very happy.

  • When the store design is more lauded than the products, there is something out of balance. The staff are too full-on and make the in-store experience a bit too intense for my liking. I also find the products too strong and too over-priced and I have no problem paying for things I like. The overall experience is a pass for me.

  • The most elevated hand soap. I love having this in my bathroom and it smells refreshing but not synthetic and overpowering like some traditional hand soaps.

  • I love this brand, not only because the packaging is very shelf worthy, but because the products are often very nice quality (though expensive). I bought the beard oil for my husband as a gift and he says its the only face oil that helps stop his beard itch. I have the bronze oil burner which is absolutely stunning but i was so disappointed when they discontinued the essential oil blends. They were in a class of their own. I hope they bring them back! I few products i did not care for was the toothpaste (horrid!) and the lip oil balm (dried my lips out something crazy!).

  • Aesop's reverence hand wash is simply divine. The smell is so inviting, and I also love the fact that it has tiny pieces of pumice to lightly exfoliate. They also have beautifully designed packaging and stores. I really want to have more Aesop in my life, but...

I get that this personal personal preference, but Aesop's products are just sooo expensive. I really can't justify spending 300Dkk / 40 euros on handwash, even if it does smell amazing.

  • I absolutely love Aesop! Their scents are so unique, and all of the products I've tried from them I've loved. Particularly the haircare, hand wash, and candles/colognes.

Not a huge fan of the skincare, smells great but broke me out!

  • Oh, if I could only afford Aesop all the time!! The Aesop items I do have are a total treat for me. I love how unique each item smells. There's really nothing else like it on the market. ' I couldn't say if their items are more effective than cheaper options- but it's always felt like pure luxury to me. I am using the Resurrection Hand Balm and it really does seem to keep my hands moisturized- I put it on each night before bed. And it just smells amazing!

  • I bought a $20 lip balm from Nordstrom. It delivers, but so do many other lip balms with a lower price point. Easy application, nice texture, and mild fragrance. Iโ€™ll be sampling fragrances in the near future.

  • Really luxurious and smells great; the price point is a little high for the plastic packaging though.

  • I love Aesop. Great brand, great products. Their scents are amazing. Their packaging is also very organised and I love their design system. Every boutique you visit has the same quality, look and feel. It's like stepping into a spa each time. I was very surprised when I bought their Animal (Dog) wash. It's so gentle and smells amazing (Lemon Rind, Tea Tree Leaf, Spearmint Leaf) - 5 ๐Ÿพ's.

  • Purchased a set of the hand wash and hand rinse (no water needed) and the sizes were generous, which I was glad for with the nearly $50+ price tag. I guess I didn't read clearly enough of the description because I assumed the bottles would be glass, but they were plastic, so that was a little disappointing. Overall, the small and performance are great, as is the look of the products, but I'll be sure to read thoroughly with the next purchase to understand what I'm getting.

  • All of their scents are legendary and I love the branding but the price makes it hard to justify the purchase

  • I really love Aesopโ€™s products. Some of my favorites are the hand cream and the eye cream. Their products work really well with my skin, and I also love their brick and mortar stores. They always feel so fancy and I love buying Aesop perfume for my friends.

  • I bought my first Aesop hand soap at the beginning of March 2020 (like right before Covid) and haven't looked back since. That first bottle went pretty fast given the circumstances but at least washing my hands 85 times a day felt luxe ๐Ÿ™ˆ. I believe I now go through the bottles a bit slower! I appreciate that the refill bottles don't come with a new pump every time ๐Ÿ™

it's a little pricey for hand soap ya, but isn't everything these days?

  • Fantastic smells and products. Their deodorant smells and works great- but itโ€™s not a 24h stick. Which I like

  • I like their hand balm & creams but can't justify the price tag!

  • SUCH A CLEAN AND AESTHETIC BRAND. AMAZING PRODUCTS.

  • Aromatic ! Expensive tho.

  • I have tried this product at various locations and although the smells is nice and the bottle is luxury it is very expensive and wayyy too much money for a hand wash
