Reviews mention

  • Durable fabrics, everyday wearability
  • Comfortable technical layers, heattech
  • Breathable airism performance textiles
  • Versatile, minimalist wardrobe staples
  • Inconsistent sizing, boxy fits
  • Occasional fabric pilling, fragility
  • Down jackets tear, leak feathers
  • Limited length options for tall

Uniqlo earns largely positive reviews and proves a reliable source for well-made basics that perform—HEATTECH and AIRism consistently keep wearers comfortable, and ultra light down holds up over years of travel. Reviews also flag weaknesses: inconsistent sizing, occasional quality dips (e.g., denim, cashmere, down tearing), and frustrating return policies for online orders, making in‑store try‑ons preferable.

  • Uniqlo has been one of my go-to clothing stores since I discovered it in 2015. I would say 50% of my closet is from Uniqlo. From work to play, I buy a variety of clothes from Uniqlo that fits my lifestyle. I have bought the same shirt/pants/leggings/sweaters in all colors because it fits me perfectly. I also love how they are always innovating their products to cater to their customers every year. My favorite products have to be their work shirts, joggers, and their jackets. My husband and I recently stocked up on HEATTECH items before visiting Yosemite this year (January 2023). It kept us toasty and warm throughout our trip (which was intense because we ended up getting evacuated from the Park due to the amount of snow the park was getting!).

I have noticed that quality has gone down on some items but it's not a deal breaker because I only experienced this with one or two items which I ended up returning (which was a seamless process). If you're in between sizes (like me!), I recommend buying both sizes and trying them out because some items have their own sizing and can be tricky to find the right fit.

  • I recently started shopping at Uniqlo and since the first pieces I purchased I have been obsessed. The clothes are stylish, comfortable and affordable. I buy clothes for work and everyday. The quality is amazing.

  • Uniqlo used to produce stylish and good quality clothing. In recent years the quality has slipped and clothing looks worn after just a few wearings. I purchased a sweater in December and the neck band separated from the body of the sweater after only a few wearings. Uniqlo - best to return to your traditional fabrics and workmanship.

  • I am so upset by the treatment I received in the Oxford store. I was returning a jumper I had bought my husband for Christmas. The jumper was unworn, in perfect condition and we had the receipt as you can clearly see from the attached photos. Despite this, I was refused an exchange as I had removed the price (due to it being a Christmas present). This is a rule I have NEVER come across before-. We were ready to exchange the jumper for goods in excess of the receipt amount and were therefore ready to spend more in the shop. I am now left with a £70 jumper I don't want and will never shop there again.

  • Horrible customer service and policy!!!!!!!!! Ordered a coat. When delivered I try on for fit. It was the right size so I took the tags off. The next day I put it on and in the mirror I noticed a seeing defect that made an indent in the zipper area making the coat not smooth all the way down. I texted customer support. I got Wendel and went back and forth with him and he said he had to escalate my compliant and would get a response within a few days. But the same day, I received an email from Wendel stating that they regret that can’t do anything about. I responded again to ask them to do the right thing. Again, “we regret….” BS. Mind you, the coat was unworn and still NEW! So I made a complaint with my bank. They sided with me and refund the full transaction. There are too many REPUTABLE, CARING companies that actually care about their customers. They will never get my money again and I will tell everyone I know not to shop with them. Do a deep dive on the web to see their reviews. And notice that there are no Google reviews. Doesn’t take a genius to figure out why!

  • Love shopping at Uniqlo. The store is well lit and so well kept. The clothes are made of good materials and comfortable. I recently placed an online order and am very satisfied with the product and the delivery. The store delivered on its promisses..

  • Uniqlo is my comfort place. I love the basics that they provide and the colour range! So glad they finally opened up in Adelaide after moving here from Melbourne. I have no clue what the tech is for some of the tees I own but its made out of material you don't even have to iron

  • Big fan of both heattech and AIRism. Have worn both for over a decade. Basics. Not the most flattering or highest quality, but reliable stable price point that travels well. I also like some of the Japanese travel essentials and snacks they sometimes have. Cute collaborations. They have a giant store in Disney Springs, Orlando, FL

  • It’s unbelievable that inside 5th Ave store you have only only ONE bathroom!!!! With this side of store!

  • Their heat tech products are life-changing!! I bought some for ski season & they kept me so warm. I highly recommend. Super comfy, affordable & actually works.

  • Uniqlo is a steady staple of my wardrobe. I'm especially a big fan of Airism. Wearing Airism in the summer feels cool and comfortable and quality is fantastic - seemingly to last forever.

  • I have their classic puffy jacket and I love how packable, light and warm it is! It even has a detachable hood and interior pockets. For me, Uniqlo is up there in terms of brands that embody affordable quality.

  • Generally nice basics. I tend to find the fit a little "generic" in that its all a bit loose and boxy and not really designed for an athletic physique but overall pretty reliable quality

  • great basics at an awesome price point. definitely the go-to store for anyone looking to start a capsule wardrobe

  • I have a size XXS women's black puffer jacket (with a hood) that I purchased online from Uniqlo. Loved that the jacket came with a pouch to fold up and store it in—it even can attach/hang from a back button of the jacket so you don't have to worry about losing it. I bought the jacket as a layering piece to have for Texas fall/winter and when traveling through airports and a little colder climates. You can't beat the price and features—interior pockets, packable, etc. Highly recommend!

  • I ordered a puffer jacket from Uniqlo like 5 years ago, and it has held up really well. I love how compact they become, which makes it great for traveling. I have no complaints

  • I like Uniqlo but I feel their range is sometimes a bit exy for what you get... worth it when the products go on sale. I like how the pieces are versatile but they don't really fit my body well and make me look boxy.

  • I'm a big fan of Uniqlo. Their clothing is high quality and I love the variety of colors they offer.

  • I buy my clothing from this brand all the time.
