The Ordinary earns strong reviews for effective, ingredient-forward skincare that improves texture, hydration, acne, and glow—with standouts like Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%, Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5, Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution, and the AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution. Reviews also flag weaknesses: some formulas feel sticky, can pill or irritate sensitive skin, high actives may overwhelm newbies, results can be hit-or-miss, and product naming/usage can be confusing.

Ordinary products are really affordable and work well. The packaging feels like high quality and the products do as they promise. The only negative I would say is you have to put in a bit of work to design a regimen. You essentially end up mixing your own serums. I highly recommend their products and at such a low price, there isn’t a lot to lose from trying them.
My first products were the Caffeine Solution and the Argan Oil, but I wasn't impressed with either products' visible results, especially the Caffeine one. However, I'm a HUGE FAN of the niacinamide + zinc serum, and I use it daily. This has delivered great results in brightening my skin from dark spots/acne spots.
The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA: Simplicity, Effectiveness, and Affordability. In my quest for a no-nonsense moisturizer that delivers on hydration without breaking the bank, I stumbled upon The Ordinary's Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA. As someone who values simplicity and effectiveness in a skincare routine, this moisturizer has become a reliable staple. One of the strongest selling points of The Ordinary products is their affordability, and this moisturizer is no exception. It delivers high-quality hydration at a fraction of the cost of many comparable products on the market. It's a budget-friendly option that doesn't compromise on performance.

I love these products! They work and they are affordable. My entire skincare routine is Ordinary products. The last and brow serum is amazing! I saw results within two weeks.

Some highly effective and highly affordable products, though I don’t love all of them. My favorite is the AHA + BHA peeling solution. It makes my skin glow.
The Ordinary requires a LOT of guidance, even though most products only highlight one star ingredient. Users should really know their skin type and the skin care they need, understand that learning what works for your skin (in different seasons, conditions, etc.) takes a long time and may change over time, and how skincare ingredients work/do not work. TO provides a lot of educational guidance on their website. TO is a great brand to learn what actives or other common skincare ingredients or formulations work or do not work for your personal skin, and sometimes when I truly just need something basic I will come back to the brand... but otherwise, I've kind of "grown up" and have looked towards more complex formulations. Skincare is personal, TO is a brand that really lets you do that, with some limitations, and with a lot of willingness to learn about yourself and your skin! For the products themselves: the formulations are a little sticky and tacky. It's not the end-all be all but it's not what I look for in my skincare experience. TO is affordable and functional and I believe has a place in any person's routine, whether transitionary or permanent.
I love this brand! I’ve tried more expensive skincare and yet I always find myself going back the The Ordinary line. Affordable, effective, and sleek packaging!
The Ordinary is full of affordable and effective skincare, so it’s hard not to love. The Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA is my favorite.
The Ordinary High-Adherence Silicone Primer is a great option for those looking for a primer that creates a smooth, even base for makeup
I LOVE this brand and use it every day! It was such a game changer for my skin. I love how it is affordable and still high quality. They offer a wide range of products that cover a variety of skin needs. They have a straightforward approach and effective ingredients that I have seen success with. Perfect for a simple but powerful skincare routine, also great if you are new to skin care or a seasoned vet.
I’ve never been dissatisfied with a product from the Ordinary. Their products are simple, easy to use, and cheap! I love how clearly I know what I’m putting on my skin, and their packaging is fun.

The Ordinary is an excellent brand for skincare beginners seeking simple, clean, and minimal products at an affordable price. However, despite its positive attributes, I haven't discovered a specific product from the brand that I consistently use. Nonetheless, it served as a good introduction to skincare for me as a beginner.
I love The Ordinary's products and I've had great luck with everything I've purchased from them. Their price points fit perfectly into my graduate student budget without the quality ever being affected. A perfect way to get luxury-feeling skincare without actually paying luxury prices!
The Ordinary is extraordinary! Their product line is extensive and every product I've tried is amazing. The price point is beyond competitive. I'm a huge fan! I'm 64 years old and have seen a dramatic difference using their serums, acids, and moisturizers. Also the serum for increasing growth of eyelashes and eyebrows!
Great product, love that they changed the beauty industry by making single ingredient products. Their products have increased in price astronomically which is not great for the customer

I love the ingredients, efficacy, and mostly the price point of the Ordinary products. I have the aha peel and the natural moisturizer in my daily routine. My skin looks and feels great and I can afford to replenish these staples as needed. Another plus is that they’re available in store and not only online. My local Target Carries them which is so convenient

You get what you pay for, for the most part. Some products are great (personal favorites include: AHA/BHA peel, brow and lash serum, rose hip seed oil), others are fine (didn't love: lactic acid serum, a few others). Can't beat the price and simplicity of the products! Wish there was a tiny bit more explanation of what the ingredients are good for, etc.

The ordinary is a bit on a mixed bag, but the products that work work REALLY well. Their retinol in squalane, salicylic acid mask, azelaic acid cream, and lash & brow serum are key parts of my routine.
I personally experienced minimal difference with my dark spots, but my acne improved. I loved how minimal the ingredient list was. I don’t think my face has felt so healthy prior to this. It was one the first brands that made me want to change my entire skincare routine and focus on what’s in the product and actual results.
You can’t beat the price. I’ve tried a lot of different products of there’s and believe they may be just as effective as the overpriced ones. I have grown to appreciate clean beauty that has nice scent from natural ingredients as opposed to fragrance and that’s where I would say I tend to go for another brand instead of the ordinary sometimes. That said, still appreciate the brand offering such an extensive collection at such an approachable price.
