The Ordinary earns strong reviews for being effective and ingredient-focused: many users report clearer, smoother, more hydrated skin from staples like Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%, Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5, Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution, and the AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution. Reviews also flag weaknesses: some formulas feel sticky or pill, certain actives (retinoids, vitamin C, high-percentage acids) can irritate or be too harsh, results can be hit-or-miss by product or skin type, and the range can be confusing without research.

I love the products from the ordinary. THey are no nonsense and just include the active ingredients that sometimes get buried in other skincare lines. I especially love the AHA BHA face peel. I put it all over my face and neck and even my chest, arms and back. It leaves my skin SO soft and glowing. It has the mot instantly gratifying results of any skincare product I've purchased. I also love all of the serums including the niacinimide, the zinc, all of the retinols in squalane etc.
Their Squalane Cleanser, lactic acid and moisturizer are go-to's for me. Great price points, solid products, easy to find and usually always stocked.

Affordable and does what it says it will. Great product that I will continue to buy over and over again!
Affordable skin care that feels like a luxury.

This company really pulled the rug out from under expensive skincare. If you want a specific ingredient and no other bells or whistles, this is the company for you. It’s laughable to me that there are people out there that pay upwards of $30 for an ounce of certain oils when this company exists. Their cleanser is also decent, and they’re a great place to go for someone who’s just starting out in the wide world of skincare. And their website explains their ingredients in excruciating chemical detail, which is a rarity in the industry.
Sometimes The Ordinary products work well, and sometimes they don't. However, they've made skincare affordable and easily accessible, and were the first brand I used when beginning my skincare journey. I've since graduated from using The Ordinary products (mostly because I can afford better ones now), but the Glycolic Acid is still a staple in my bathroom. Recommended for those on a budget or just getting into skincare but aren't too sure what you're looking for. The website is easy to navigate and offers explanations of the purposes of the different type of products.

This brand is great for clean products that have simple ingredients. The downside is understanding what all the fancy names are so I recommend researching the products ahead of time in order to find exactly what skincare solutions you need.
I love how the ordinary makes skincare affordable and makes it easy for consumers to understand the active ingredients. I've found several of their products to be effective for my skin and I personally have not experienced any irritation.
This brand is extremely affordable and works so well in contrary to the price.
So extra- ordinary!!!! I've been using the charcoal mask for years!!!!! Goes deep and clean. Easy to use. Labels are printed too small.
Hit and miss with products but a great affordable option for skincare.
My favorite beauty brand right now. The cleanser, moisturizer, toner and salicylic acid are my staples that I use everyday. Love the quality ingredient forward approach (everything just works well and you only need tiny amounts) combined with functional packaging makes these my favorites over other brands. Oh yeah and it's super affordable too. Customer for life!
Some products work very well, like the face oils and then others are only so-so. All depends on personal skin type of course and honestly the price point is so reasonable it’s insane. I like the brands mission a lot.
I find the ordinary very hit or miss, I appreciate the low price point but have not been particularly wowed by their products. I was disappointed in the hyaluronic acid - I found it did not moisturize much and left a layer that would rub off with make up added on top of it. I found the same for a niacinamide, it didn't sink into my skin nicely and I didn't find it had much affect on my skin. My primary skin concern is acne and redness - I didn't break out from the products but they didn't seem to help much with break outs. The product that I will buy again is their rosehip oil, I use it at night when I need extra moisturizing and find that it really helps with dryness and redness as well.
Overall I really like the ordinary as a brand. I love how diverse their range of skincare is, as well as their very affordable price point. I do feel like some of the products do miss the mark a bit and could be better, but nothing is bad!
Not a huge fan of this brand. While cheaper in price, the quality hasn’t been great and I haven’t really seen results.
A nice cleanser for oily skin. Doesn’t strip me but still feels clean and fresh
Everything I've gotten from The Ordinary has been amazing. I use the Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Oil Control Serum to help control the oil on my face and minimize my pores. The AHA 30% + BHA 2% Exfoliating Peeling Solution is great too, but it does make my skin a bit sensitive every time I use – I just make sure to moisturize a lot afterwards. I love how everything is pretty affordable (compared with other skincare brands) and the packaging is simple and straightforward.
I really like their products. I continue to use certain items and recommend them to friends
I love Ordinary, it is reasonably priced, transparent and high quality.

I with that they gave more resources on how to use their products - it can feel overwhelming.
