Reviews mention

  • Exceptionally warm winter jackets
  • Durable, long-lasting backpacks
  • Lightweight yet insulating outerwear
  • Reliable cold-weather performance
  • Inconsistent rainwear coating durability
  • Wind-permeable basic fleece layers
  • Occasional seam unraveling reports
  • Conservative, less-fashionable styling

The North Face earns strong reviews for lasting warmth, resilient outerwear, and hardworking backpacks, indicating the brand performs well for cold weather and outdoor use; however, critiques cite inconsistent durability in some pieces (peeling raincoat, unraveling seams), wind penetration in basic fleece, and frustrations with warranty service. Reviews highlight dependable parkas, puffers, and the Recon backpack, but note that styling can feel basic and some prefer competitors for performance or aesthetics.

  • Good quality for outdoor products, their jackets hold up relatively well but I do wish the raincoat I had didn't peel so quickly.

  • I have some jackets from The North Face, not my go to but I still love the jackets. They are good quality and have lasted a while. The colours are basic and styles are great, brilliant fits.

  • I've had a North Face jacket since 2017 - and it's still in pretty great condition! As a Northeasterner, having clothes that can quickly adapt to weather is important, and North Face continues to deliver! I wish they were a TAD less expensive...but I recognize this is a case where I get what I pay for.

  • They always have quality reliable products for whatever outdoor activity you’re into

  • North Fave has been a staple in my closet for as long as I can remember! I don’t know any Canadian that hasn’t own something from NF! Always amazing quality!

  • North Face is a mixed bag to me. Design-wise it's a boring brand to me, and I don't think it's the most flattering, so it's generally not my style. Once in awhile they'll have a piece that's trending that I don't hate. The quality tends to be fine, but it's not cheap. I have one of their zip fleece jackets, and it's cozy but not warm at all if there's any wind at all. The wind goes straight through the jacket and I'm freezing. There's a lot of other brands I'd typically pick over North Face for the same price.

  • I only by north face for everything skiing. It's the brand I trust the most. They're snow gear has always kept me dry and warm. I typically like a system jacket so I can take off layers depending on the day. The addition of the north face renewed has been fantastic. I love the idea of recycling the clothes and fixing them.

  • Nice jackets, but not as good as some other alternatives... not my go-to brand, but still nice.

  • Great, classic brand with staple pieces. I have their backpack and it holds up for years truly. The down puffer jackets are also so well made. I love the removable hood. Really well made items, classic brand and look.

  • Their snow gear is great for skiing and I love how durable their backpack is.

  • This product is worn by every member of my family (ages 1yr to 60yr). It is the most dependable product in our wardrobes. It is worth every penny and they offer a lifetime warranty on the items (my daughter had a coat that was 6 years old and they replaced the zipper and returned it expeditiously). I hate wearing coats and these are light weight but beyond warm. We use them for every day use as well as all outdoor sports.

  • I’ve purchased exercise clothing from here for both myself and my partner. We exercise frequently and with high intensity and these clothes hold up to the test. I also really like their more casual wear shorts. It’s comfy and very worth the price.

  • Absolutely love my North face Jacket, hoodie and shirts. These have held up well over the last 5+ years.

  • Really high quality clothes, especially the fleece. I've been using the same camping gear and fleece jacket for years from Northface, and its been holding out really well. Would definitely recommend the brand; only downside is the price is a bit steep. But definitely get what you pay for.

  • I got the cute cropped puffer jacket . And I’m telling you the quality is on top.Whatever I wear or whatever outfit I want this goes well

  • Their jackets are the warmest thing ever in winter. Kept me warm during -20 and above, will buy more when necessary.

  • North Face is my go-to for outdoor gear, especially when I used to work outdoors in Albertan winters of -30C! Their clothing is worth the money, durable and does the job. I'm never cold or wet when I wear their clothing outdoors and continue to buy this brand. Bonus, when I find it on offer!

  • Good brand. I have had numerous North Face sweatshirts hoodies, and jackets. Quality is good. I have had some minor durability issues with a jacket, seem started to unravel, but did not cause any issue. I still think the North Face brand is good for most of their products.

  • Absolutely awful customer service Sent my coat to them under their warranty as when it was washed following washing instructions the coat was very thin, they decided that there was nothing wrong with the coat so said they would send it back two months later I still have not received it and have basically been told there is nothing they can do about it so I am left without a coat

  • I fill out the consumer repair return form for faulty gloves and the address I had to send them was to USA March 2024. I was sent a credit note for the USA site. However the credit note is of no value as they do not deliver to Ireland. I emailed customer service and they sent the gloves to an address in USA which I never gave. Emailed them back and they said contact Fedex to get the gloves returned. I did this but Fedex informed me that it is the sender's responsibilty not the receiver. I have never received a replacement from North Face for the gloves I returned. Aftersales service for North Face is absolutely appalling I would not recommend anyone to buy from North Face.
