Simulate earns largely positive reviews for plant-based “Nuggs” that convincingly mimic fast‑food chicken nuggets—especially the Spicy variety—delivering crisp breading, satisfying texture, and strong crowd‑pleasing appeal across vegans and omnivores. Reviews also flag weaknesses: occasional dryness or blandness in the original flavor, inconsistent interior texture (spongy or too soft), highly processed ingredients, and reliance on air‑frying for best results, making it a great nostalgic fix but not universally loved.

I tried two versions of Nuggs. First batch of Nuggs was their OG batch, which got lost in the mail 2x and by the time it got to me, it was labeled unsafe for consumption :( The team sent me replacement boxes of Formula 2.0 I believe and I enjoyed them! They tasted as good as regular chicken nuggets and you cannot tell the difference unless you really really know your chicken nuggets (don't we all?)
Feedback
I don't think these would make into my rotation of regular freezer foods given the price point. Additionally, there have been instances of the brand not paying creators and influencers fairly for the work they put into content for the brand.

These things are delicious, a real feat in the alt-chicken space. I'm always impressed when I bite into one of the nuggs and it tastes like a chicken nugget. It has the texture, taste, crunch, flavor all right. It's incredible. Cannot wait for Simulate to create other products!

It could be a little more cost effective per nugget.

I was very impressed by Nuggs as someone who doesn't eat a ton of plant-based products. Good flavor, good texture, and I didn't feel like I was sacrificing anything.
Feedback
I would say the flavor could be punched up even more with more things like the spicy version. BBQ?
Of the vegan nuggets out there, this is one of the better options. The spicy ones have a good amount of heat, but not overwhelming. They get a nice crispy texture when they are cooked in the air fryer.
These were ok I was not a big fan but when I covered them in barbeque sauce before cooking they were way better and my kids liked them
These surprised me with how closely they tasted to regular chicken nuggets. My husband, who isn't a huge fan of plant-based doops, even liked these.
As someone who hasn't been a vegetarian that long, I still have cravings for comfort food like chicken nuggets. When I had the opportunity to receive a rebate for both kids of Simulate nuggets, I jumped at the chance to try them as easy-to-make meals for days I didn't feel like cooking. I'm glad I did. I found both very similar to the chicken nuggets I used to eat when I ate meat. They were tender and tasty and paired well with similar sauces and dressings one would normally eat with chicken nuggets.

As a lifelong vegetarian, I have never, ever, ever, ever enjoyed fake meat. Until now, I guess? Nuggs have completely changed the game for me -- don't know how, but they just work! The Spicy Nuggs are nexxxxtttt level. SO yum, extra crispy in the oven with some ketchup + sriracha.
Love the spicy! Pop them in the air flyer for a few mins and good to go. Wish they made sauces

I don't know what's in these suckers, but, frankly, I don't even care. These are the vegan version of McDonald's iconic Chicken McNuggets. Have been following this company for a few years, and each version that has been put out has been better and better. A freezer staple in my house!
Shout out to my straight edge family living xXcleanXx These are hella good and probably the most realistic thing I have had. It is pretty wild honestly. Like your conservative parents wouldn't even know. See ya'll in the pit.
These are pretty good vegan nuggets with good macros. The spicy ones are spicier than I thought they would be but are still good, I just can't eat them as quickly. They make for a good snack.
Love the nuggets! These are so easy to make and a great alternative for vegetarians.
Such a good imitation that neither my tastebuds nor my stomach could tell the difference between NUGGS and real chicken nuggets. The Spicy Nuggs are the way to go.

Could be slightly thicker/larger.
Great, fun, nuggets with cute packaging. Tasty!
Pretty good overall, one of two chikn nuggets my vegan child (with many allergies) can and will eat. I love that they keep updating the recipe to perfect it!

Tested this on my own when I saw it pop up at H‑E‑B and it was a very tasty product. Definitely not chicken but for sure getting close to a great approximation- especially when cooked in an air fryer.

The packaging is great and the product is good but I do think seasoning could be kicked up a tiny bit.
Addicting! I had heard about these through Thingtesting and never got around to ordering them, but then I saw them at my local grocery store here in Detroit and decided to give them a try. I love spicy food, so I went for the Spicy Nuggs and they are so SO good, especially when paired with a sweet ketchup or bbq sauce. Big fan of the crispy texture and flavorful filling. These are definitely my new favorite nuggs, surpassing my former favorite, the Impossible Nuggets.

Zero complaints. I will be buying many more of these.
My vegetarian family loves both the spicy and regular version of Nuggs. They have a good texture and flavor and they cook up crispy. Their branding and website are hilarious, and when I emailed them to say we liked their product, someone got back to me within about 12 hours. Also, they are available at our local Wal-Mart and are competitively priced.

I wish they would work on a gluten-free version.
These are very good not chicken nuggets. That said, they were not my favorite not chicken nuggets, although I cannot place my finger on why. I would buy them again, for sure, as it's always nice to have different meat alternatives in the grocery aisle.
