Reviews mention

  • Distinctive asian-inspired flavors
  • Natural fruit-forward taste
  • Clean low-sugar formulation
  • Versatile cocktail mixer
  • Inconsistent flavor intensity
  • Occasionally overly tart profile
  • Variable carbonation balance
  • Polarizing pomelo and mango

Sanzo earns positive reviews for refreshing, Asian-inspired sparkling waters that taste clean and often true to fruit—standouts include Lychee, Calamansi, and Yuzu—so yes, the brand works as a flavorful, low-sugar alternative. Reviews also flag inconsistencies: several flavors read muted or overly tart/sour, carbonation can feel either too soft or too aggressive, and pomelo/mango divide opinion, making the lineup hit-or-miss for some.

  • I tried the Yuzu and the Mango and it was just ok. I guess I prefer sparkling drinks with a little more flavor. Just felt kind of blah to me.

  • These are my favorite sparkling water brand. They are very flavorful and contain real fruit.

  • Love this sparking water with cool, interesting flavors. Just enough sweetness from the fruit essences, without any actual sugar. Sanzo is easy to drink and also makes a great mixer for homemade cocktail creations.

  • Love these unique flavors and the taste is so natural. Huge convert to Sanzo over Spindrift, La Croix, etc

  • I tried the lychee Sanzo flavor- as someone who doesn't gravitate to sparking water I enjoyed it. The flavor is subtle and I like the ingredients list. I was expecting something a little sweeter with the lychee flavor, my personal preference, but good nonetheless.

  • Love this brand, love the flavors, love the branding.

  • I found Sanzo in Austin one year at SXSW but finally saw that my Whole Foods is carrying the brand! I love their flavor profiles, it was my go-to beverage during dry January because they are fruit forward but not artificially sweet. Very refreshing! My only hesitation on a 5/5 is that they are a little pricy compared to other products in this category. Though I find the product to be leaps better in flavor than the cheaper alternatives (eg. Kirkland sparking water)

  • Tried Sanzo seltzer and honestly, it was pretty meh. The east-Asian-inspired flavors are a cool concept, but the taste didn’t really pop. If you’re after something bright and bold, actual Asian sodas and seltzers are way better. Not terrible, just forgettable.

  • I love the concept and the clean ingredients. I’ve only tried one flavor (yuzu with ginger) and it was just ok. I would repurchase as a clean replacement where I needed a sparking water (e.g., for making a cocktail/mocktail), but I generally wouldn’t purchase this to drink on its own.

  • One of my all-time favorite flavored sparkling waters. It actually tastes like the fruit it’s supposed to, which is surprisingly rare. No weird artificial aftertaste, not overly sweet or acidic, just the perfect amount of flavor. Super refreshing and crisp.

  • My favorite flavor is lychee and it will not disappoint!!! It’s also good for mixing drinks or just having something that is 0 calories and still getting the feel like your drinking a soda or sparkling juice!!

  • Very innovative flavors, and they run great sales at Whole Foods. Love that it’s made from actual authentic fruit juice and not fake artificial flavors. Support your AAPI businesses!

  • These are so good and flavorful considering how low-calorie they are. The calamansi is a unique flavor!

  • I'm not typically a fan of sparkling water but the lychee flavor is ~chefs kiss~

  • The first time I tried the calamansi flavor I was hooked! It's a great cross between a lime/tangerine!!

  • Hands down my favorite beverage. I love all the flavors equally. Can’t recommend enough.
