Reviews mention

  • Vibrant patterns and colors
  • Reliable machine-washable construction
  • Durable high-traffic performance
  • Lightweight, easy-to-handle topper
  • Thin, low-cushion rug body
  • Fussy pad alignment system
  • Shag pile mats quickly
  • Corners lift; tripping risk

Ruggable earns strong reviews for doing what it promises: stylish, machine‑washable rugs that handle pets, spills, and high‑traffic wear, with colors and patterns that stay crisp after repeated washes. However, reviewers flag thin construction with minimal cushion, finicky alignment on the pad (corners/Velcro and tripping), shag and plush styles matting quickly, vacuuming challenges, and large sizes being hard to handle; some note size discrepancies and outdoor pads trapping water.

  • We are absolutely in love with the rugs that we purchased for our new home. It’s really hard to find a circle rug that fits the space and is machine washable. We have an elderly dog that sometimes has accident accidents so we wanted something that looked great but was also practical. We have watched it several times and the color has stayed perfect and washed right up. I would highly recommend this product to anyone in need of a high-quality practical rug.

  • The pattern I have ("Patchwork Boho Flatwoven Rug") is not listed in the Search. In the kitchen, I find it wonderful to have a rug that is washable. I have washed it many times and it has held it's shape and color. The one negative is that it is hard to line up the two pieces just right and sometimes can be a tripping hazard if it sticks up.

  • Bought this for my son's nursery, loved the deep colors and playful yet elevated design. The fact that it's washable is amazing. However, I would say you have to have a descent sized washing machine to make that functional.

  • The best solution I've found for high-traffic areas in a small home with two dogs. I need something that can be washed, and though this rug is a bit overpriced in my opinion, it is very practical. I definitely paid extra to get a washable rug with a nice design, which is Ruggable's biggest draw. I need to vacuum and wash it right now, but including a picture to show how much this specific rug shows dirt.

  • I’ve bought two ruggable rugs. I love the concept, but I found the 8x12 very difficult to attach smoothly to the pad. I also wish the pad was machine washable as well, or the the topper didn’t allow liquid to pass through so the pad didn’t get dirty. I have a large round one that I love, and is much easier to realign.

  • I absolutely love the colors in this rug. The navy and orange tones really pop and bring life into our mostly neutral room. It ended up being a little smaller than ideal for the space, but I purchased it on sale and didn’t want to exchange and pay full price for a larger size. Even so, I’m very happy with it! I do wish it was a bit thicker, but the washable feature more than makes up for that. Overall, the look and color make this a great rug, especially if you catch it on sale!

  • I’m a ruggable rug fan. We only use this brand of rug because they’re really easy to clean. I have a little kids and they make me a mess every once a month I clean them in my washing machine and they look super new. Most importantly they are lightweight.

  • Nice rug, great design, very durable. I bought this entry room rug (looking for one that was washable) on the recommendation of Wirecutter. We bought the thicker pad, which I highly recommend. This rug is NOT plush, but it is very durable, good looking and holds up to a lot of traffic. I would recommend their rugs for heavy traffic areas.

  • I have an entryway rug, and I really love it. It's so nice to be able to take the rug off of the pad and throw it in the washing machine. The pad is currently on a slippery tile floor, but for the most part stays in place.

  • I’ve had my Ruggable rug for over three years now, and I can confidently say it totally lives up to the hype. This rug has been through it all—over 50 washes, daily foot traffic, and even multiple accidents from my dog—and it still looks great. There's a pic of my dog and you can see the design of the rug briefly! One of the biggest selling points for me has been how easy it is to just throw it in the washer. I got the rug before I had a dog, and let me tell you, it became even more of a lifesaver after. Being able to wash it whenever needed (especially after potty accidents) has made my life so much easier and kept my home feeling clean. The design still holds up beautifully after all this time. There's a tiny bit of tugging around the edges, but honestly, that’s to be expected with how much we’ve used and washed it. It’s minimal and doesn’t bother me at all. My only regret? Choosing a white/gray color—it shows footprints easily, but that’s more of a personal mistake and not a flaw with the product itself. If you’re looking for a rug that’s durable, stylish, and genuinely easy to clean, I couldn’t recommend Ruggable more. It really does exactly what it promises and has been such a worthwhile purchase.

  • The patterns are amazing and high quality. I like that you can easily switch them out, however the actual fabric is pretty thin/flat. It’s not going to be a fluffy woven rug like the nice antique ones are, but it will spice up your space and elevate your room.

  • Ruggable changed the rug game! Being able to wash my rug in a regular washing machine is a total win—especially with pets. The designs are chic, and the quality has exceeded expectations. Absolutely LOVE!

  • Great concept for rugs! My mom adores her ruggable rugs because of how much foot traffic and pet accidents happen and how easy it is to clean. There are sooo many options and cool rugs!

  • I got tired of looking at my raggedy kitchen floor and decided to try a Ruggable rug in the space and it has been perfect. It washes easily and stays in place well. For the cost, it has held up well against A LOT of abuse. Definitely a great buy for high traffic areas.

It's a little hard to get it back on it's little grippy mat, but with a little patience and deep breathing you can get it on pretty well.

  • Looooove this brand for my pet-filled home. We wash our rugs OFTEN.

I wish you had a few more neutral patterns. Also laying a rug out on the pad is pretty difficult and would love some tips.

  • I've ordered one rug from them. Love it and like that it's washable and durable. Same quality as I expected from the site.

  • Bought a runner with pad. Expensive. Difficult to line up on pad. Nice to be able to wash it but I’ve found other runners for less that are washable

  • Like other reviewers, I'm disappointed with how thin my Ruggable is. I really love the design, and it was quick to ship, but their return policy isn't that great. Do I have to pay a restocking fee if I want to return the rug? That doesn't seem right.

  • The rug is really gorgeous - the look isn't the issue. The issue lies with how thin the rug is. It's so thin that went I sit down on the rug, it's like I'm sitting on the floor. There is so cushion and it lacks the thickness of my previous rugs. It also feels slightly slippery.

  • Love the washability of these rugs, BUT the corner Velcro just doesn't perform well... Edges continuously get caught, especially on the padded base. Had to tape them together after every wash.
