Outdoor Voices earns mixed reviews: the brand delivers soft, durable lounge and athleisure standouts like CloudKnit joggers, RecTrek pants, and the iconic Exercise Dress, but performance pieces—especially many leggings and some bras—feel stiff, slip, or show sweat, and sizing runs inconsistent. Reviews of Outdoor Voices also flag variable quality and fit (plus-size and petite needs unmet), while praising unique colorways, thoughtful details (pockets, adjustable straps), and long-wearing fleece and basics; great for everyday movement and errands, less reliable for high‑intensity workouts.

I’m so obsessed with this brand. I own an exercise dress, the relay 3” shorts, the pickup sweatpants, the exercise 3” skort, a seamless ribbed longline bra, a t-shirt, and a few pairs of socks. Every single item is WONDERFUL. Great quality, so cute and comfortable. It’s all I want to wear lately.

I used to LOVE outdoor voices but their quality has been terrible recently. For example, I just ordered the same pair of shorts as the ones I’ve had for years and they are completely see-through. Same pair and totally different quality. This has happened several times. Their sizing is also all over the place. I love their “all day” sweat collection (formerly Cloudknit) and hope this never goes down in quality too. Pros: lovely customer service

Bring back how good it used to be!
I think OV is quite overrated. Their clothes may be good for lounging, but they're not good true athletic wear. Many of them are also cut/sized awkwardly in my opinion.

Cute and comfy workout (or everyday) clothes. High quality materials, good cuts, and cute colors.

A little pricey but on par with the other brands in their space.

I like the aesthetic, but the fit of the leggings I got was a little off.

The stretchiness of the leggings could use some work to make the fit more comfortable.
Ok, so internal drama at the company aside, I absolutely love OV. In fact, it's pretty much the only workout gear I own now because I love the fabrics and feel. The leggings are great and have a nice amount of compression to keep you feeling tight (love), the color ways are lovely, and everything is simple but without being boring. I love fitness and have worn OV during yoga, half marathons, strength workouts, recreational hikes, etc. and it's great for everything! Leggings stay up the whole time and I almost always get compliments on what I'm wearing. I also love that it feels less flashy than a lot of other athleisure/workout brands out there (that's right: I'm throwing some shade at Alo and Gym Shark right now...I feel like those brands just scream 'you'll see this in my sweaty selfie on Instagram later'). One of the other things I love about OV is their attitude towards fitness ('doing things'). It's great - really just about moving your body however feels good to you, without necessarily needing the intensity that a lot of other fitness apparel brands push :)

I'm knocking a star off because again, there's been quite a bit of negative press around the internal company politics and values (which I care about), but as far as product goes, it's a 5/5 for me. Also, sometimes the sizing can vary a bit on things which is annoying (I have zero boobs and ordered an XS sports bra recently - which is normally my top size - and it may as well have been Marie Antoinette's corset. Literally couldn't breathe and somehow my boobs were almost touching my chin which is funny because I don't have boobs).
Cool mission, identify with it versus the high performance competitors. Designs are really nice too. Great for everyday wear and nice colors :)

Fabric wears out rather quickly for certain products. If only the lifespan can be increased!

I am a much bigger fan of Alo and Lululemon. I only bought one two piece kit from OV (leggings and a crop top) and found the fabric to be not very comfortable against the skin, and not great for moving in (I do a wide variety of workout classes and exercise types!). I like the brand's aesthetic and online presence though, and perhaps I need to try a few more of their products.

Honestly, don't love the leggings. Have two pairs of them, they are a fairly thick fabric. Definitely prefer a thinner legging.

Love the company mission, especially the 'Doing Things' motto, and I appreciate the community events they organize. I have a merino wool shirt of theirs that's lasted years and is still one of my favorites.

It's been a bit since I've purchased from OV, so maybe mine was just old, but I wish OV explored more materials.

The quality of the clothes didn’t really impress me. I struggled with inconsistent sizing specifically with their bras and I think for the price point you can get higher quality workout gear elsewhere.

The quality of OV activewear has definitely gone downhill recently. While the designs are fun and they have a lot of good sales, the seams on some of my leggings that were recently purchased are already coming undone.

Nice workout clothes. I've warn some of their running shorts as well as leggings. I found that the size runs a bit small compared to other brands.

Great female-founded brand! High quality and great customer service too.
The warmup dress is perfection. I own a handful of exercise dresses and this is one I reach for on the regular. I love the scoop neck design - it makes it easy to use the ladies room and is also super sexy. When it gets colder, it is easy to slip on a cropped tee for a little added warms. Love the green color!
The material and quality is good, but I wish they came out with new designs and colors more often
Cute sets, great quality. Just wish it weren’t so expensive :,)

I have a few pairs of leggings, sports bra, long sleeve tees, shorts, and CloudKnit pants from Outdoor Voices. I like all the items I bought and usually go for the tees, shorts, and CloudKnit pants the most. I do think it’s pretty overpriced, but their sales are amazing (e.g. I got the shorts for $16, so sales are definitely worth the wait). My absolute favorite item is the CloudKnit wide leg pant! I wear them almost every day lol they’re incredibly soft and great for wearing at home or lounging. They’re a bit long on me at 5’4”, so just a heads up for average/shorter folks like me.

Adore the running shorts and bras. The fit is top-notch, and the quality is there. I've had several items for years, and they're still alive and kicking.
I have a few of their OG tennis skirts that I still wear because I love the design and functionality. I do however wish they were higher rise instead of mid rise which I do find myself having to adjust every so often.
