Reviews mention

  • Smooth, opaque polish formula
  • Ergonomic poppy application handle
  • Curved, precise bottle brush
  • Wide, trend-driven color range
  • Inconsistent, chip-prone longevity
  • Thick, fast-drying topcoat gunk
  • Streaky, uneven light shades
  • Press-ons causing nail damage

Olive and June earns strong reviews for easy, salon‑clean application, a wide and trend‑driven color range, and kits and tools (notably The Poppy, remover pot, cuticle serum) that help manicures last about a week or more. Reviews also flag drawbacks: some polishes chip or peel within days, certain shades apply streaky or dry out quickly, press‑ons can feel cheap or cause nail damage, and a few users find the system time‑consuming or unnecessary.

  • My first Olive and June purchase was the Poppy (the nailpolish handle holder), which I really like. Now that Target carries the brand, I have purchased the base coat and top coat, as well as two other colors. I like the shape of the bottle and the brush, and I find it easy to use. The colors also look quite lovely in the bottle and the polish is at a good price point. The website has a ton of helpful tips and videos.

On the website, they rank their polishes from easy to advanced in terms of application, but this was not evident in the store display. It would have been helpful, since I chose a color that did not seem to have great coverage.

  • The press on nails stay on so well, but when it was time to remove them, my nails felt super thin and damaged. Took a few months to strengthen my nails again.

  • I love their press on nails. I bought the tree one for Christmas and it’s adorable

  • I thought the name of this brand sounded very familiar until I realized that I actually purchased "the perfect pedicure" shoes from them years ago. They no longer sell them and I bought nail polish from them when they first started to release them. Back then, it was mostly pink and sheer shades. Then they were smart with their marketing during the pandemic and took off. I thought this was awesome to see them grow!

  • The colors and quality of their polishes are all around pretty good. The packaging is cute and the applicator tool definitely helps beginners with an at-home application. They have a good shade range of polishes and are now available at Target too, which makes it more convenient to purchase.

Their press-on nails look and feel on the cheaper end though, so I will not be repurchasing those.

  • I love the polish color options Olive and June has available, especially for how affordable they are. I don't know if it's just me, but I've found my manicures chip within a few days of doing it myself. At this price point and for how fun and helpful the brand is, I don't entirely mind.

  • Love olive & june! So many cute colors and they keep up with the nail trends. Not very expensive and 15 free. The one star I'm taking off is because I don't find the long lasting formula to be much more long lasting.

  • I hate that we had to wait a very long time for these products to arrive to Puerto Rico through our local Walgreens stores, but these are great. Incredible coverage (2 coats), rapid drying, and great color choices. The only product that didn’t work out for me was the Shiny Top Coat. That one chipped and peeled the nail polish underneath.

  • I love the company, they have great customer service and their selection of nail polishes is HUGE! I received Olive and June as a gift and I have continued to buy a variety of products from the brands, so far I have not been disappointed! I highly recommend to anyone looking to up their nail game.

  • I find the colors lovely, the poppy is cool, and I think they've nailed the influencer marketing game (bravo). That said, if I'm going to do my nails, I still find that I prefer the way Essie goes on and stays on.

  • they make awesome kits and put so much thought into the packaging. i loved how the box incorporated a holder for the phone to record application. so smart. quality of polish is decent but could be better but i love that it’s less toxic. the PRESS-ON really came in handy when i was in a wedding and very pregnant. i was able to quickly pull myself together right before the ceremony without having to find a salon. will definitely be repurchasing

  • I ended up returning this product after I got the entire at home kit. This saved me zero time. The polish did not dry at all and I followed instructions with a video in front of me the entire time. The whole manicure took over an hour and the polish still had not dried after. The poppy is cool for painting the other hand but it didn’t solve my problem of shaky hands. I still prefer to just go out and get my nails done and be in and out in a half hour. Great customer service though. They gave me a full refund with no questions.

If you have patience this is a good brand but if you’re looking for a quick manicure, try manecurist or go to a salon

  • I bought the Pink Goldfish shade from this brand and love it - it has a pink/blue iridescent quality that I haven't seen before. It's relatively sheer so looks natural but has a pop of color too. It lasts a long time on my nails too.

Nothing I can think of :)

  • I bought the Mani System. I don’t think the products themselves are any better than other nail polish, nail files, etc. that you can buy at the store, but I do think that getting the complete system creates a more fun, step by step experience. The tools they provide are helpful and their nail tutorials are a fun plus.

  • I have only tried the press ons (not the nail polish) but the press ons are amazing. The glue is way more durable than the glue I bought on Amazon so they stayed perfectly intact for the whole two weeks I was traveling in Europe for work. My only complaint is that the cute colors sell out quickly and so the variety can be a bit limited.

  • My mom got me this as a gift, and I loooove it. I wouldn't have bought it for myself, but now I'm buying in to the hype. Colors go on nice n easy, and stay on. I'm a nail biter and prone to chipping, but these hold up pretty well.

  • I'm a low maintenance girl and I don't like to spend a lot on nails but I do like my nails to at least look nice. This is a perfect solution for someone like me, fun colors and an all in one system for getting a nice polished look by yourself at home. This looks isn't going to replace fun acrylic nail products but I do like the variety of colors and the easy and quick results I get myself, which is pretty cool considering how lousy I am at painting my own nails.

  • Olive & June is amazing, my absolute favorite drug store nail polish and press on go-to. They make the cutest products and last exceptionally well. Love them!

  • I really like these nail polishes. They go on smoothly and great colors. I also like that they are easy to access at Target.

  • I own several Olive and June polishes as well as some of the other products like the brush. I really like that they have a variety of polishes and that they put out material to help you have the best in-home manicure with tips and tutorials. As someone who is a messy nail painter but enjoy painting my own nails, it's truly appreciated.
