Neutrogena earns largely positive reviews as a dependable, dermatologist-tested staple that hydrates effectively—especially the Hydro Boost Water Gel—while its sunscreens protect well and makeup removers work gently. Reviews also flag weaknesses: certain cleansers feel harsh or drying, some sunscreens feel greasy or leave a white cast, and a few users report irritation or breakouts, making the brand hit-or-miss by skin type.

Just a half pump of this cleanser onto a damp face will remove all makeup (unless you use a heavy based makeup). The formula generates volume as you wash with water. It feels lovely and cleans with one application.
I have used their sunscreen before and many other products including bodywash and facewash. They are a solid drugstore quality option, but lately I have not purchased their products as I found better alternatives with ingredients of supporting women-owned brands. I do love their make-up remover wipes!
I love Neutrogena's Hydro Boost Moisturizer. It works just as well as the more expensive brands for a very competitive price. I like that I can just pick it up in my local drugs store.
They test on animals so they are not cruelty free. I also don’t care for any of the products this brand has currently. The quality isn’t great

Consistently reliable products, I've used the hydroboost cleasner and moisturizers as well as their sunscreens, always a safe bet. No breakout or irritation.
Hydro boosted my face
Nothing special, honestly. I have sensitive skin and this brand just made my skin irritated, burning, redness, and even swelling.

I don't think I've ever used a Neutrogena product that I didn't like, but some of my favorites are their anti-residue shampoo, salicylic acid spray, hand cream and lip balm. Definitely one to stock up on for winter essentials.
Enjoy their eye gel. Good price.
the sunscreen for sure works, just a bit thick and leaves a white cast if you don't thoroughly rub it in
Have used a bunch of Neutrogena products, a lot of them made my skin a little too dry. But once I tried the Hydroboost moisturiser, I haven't looked back! On my third one now, it's extremely hydrating and works well on my acne- prone combination skin.
Their cleansers aren’t abrasive at all and their hydro boost line is INCREDIBLE

This review is specifically for their makeup remover wipe singles, which have been perfect to keep my my bag or use when traveling. While I use a makeup eraser at home, they don't travel as nicely, and these are perfect to keep on you and gentle on my sensitive skin.
Neutrogena products are good. They wouldn’t be the greatest. I do like their make up wipes. They are one of my goals too sometimes depending on which kind it is it can feel a little bit rough on the skin, but overall there a decent price.
An easy go to brand. Neutrogena is everywhere, and they have a giant range of products. I do prefer their oil-free makeup remover over other options. I feel like it's the only brand that can really get waterproof makeup off easily and gently.
I like the price point of Neutrogena products and have tried many of them. Right now my favorite is the gentle cleanser over the Hydro Boost or Ultra Gentle. The makeup remover wipes I always travel with.

Neutrogena is a hit and miss for me. I absolutely love their sunscreen but I do not like the grapefruit cleanser. It really broke me out!
Affordable and useful products that work
Their products are always a hit or miss for me. I find their cleansers to be very strong and harsh on my skin; I can feel them stripping away my skin. But, their gel moisturizer is so soothing, and I keep going back for it in the summer.

I cannot live without my Hydroboost moisturizer. I get the unscented because I noticed major breakouts with the scented one. It's perfect for the winter months when you have dry skin and I love it for the summer months too.
