Reviews mention

  • Lightweight hydrating gel moisturizer
  • Gentle makeup-removing towelettes
  • Dermatologist-tested sensitive-skin formulas
  • Reliable broad-spectrum sunscreen protection
  • Occasionally harsh stripping cleansers
  • Greasy, thick sunscreen textures
  • Potential white-cast sunscreen issue
  • Intermittent fragrance-heavy spf scent

Neutrogena earns largely positive reviews as a dependable, dermatologist-tested staple that hydrates effectively—especially the Hydro Boost Water Gel—while its sunscreens protect well and makeup removers work gently. Reviews also flag weaknesses: certain cleansers feel harsh or drying, some sunscreens feel greasy or leave a white cast, and a few users report irritation or breakouts, making the brand hit-or-miss by skin type.

  • Is it the healthiest, purest, most natural product on the market? No. Have I been using their oil free face wash, facial/body creams, and hair products since I was 6 years old? Yes. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. BUT if you’re looking for a healthier alternative to body and skin care, maybe look for another option. I have never had a bad experience with Neutrogena products and I love the items I’ve been using for years. So I support it for what it’s done for me and I’m happy with my skin!

  • This face wash is effective for clearing up my occasional minor blemishes. I recently recommended this to a friend whose son was experiencing his first breakouts. Similar to my experience, things got better within a couple of days. I have sensitive and reactive skin and this product has not irritated my skin at all. I have already repurchased this twice. I appreciate that there is no scent.

  • I love neutrogena as a brand. The moisturizer that is water based really moisturize the skin. I love 2 of their sunscreen although it hurts my eyes when in contact. However it does not leave a white cast and it’s the perfect gift

  • neutrogena has helped my skin a lot recently, I have very sensitive and acne prone skin. Their products are sensitive friendly and they have worked to help keep my skin hydrated and smooth!

  • This specific product didnt work out for me, however they have a lot of other lovely products for all skin types but leaning more to normal to dry skin types.

  • Neutrogena skin care and makeup is some of the best quality items that you can find without breaking the bank or having to special order from a high-end department store or specialty cosmetics shop. Their new line of "Hydro-Boost" skincare is perfect for me because I have extremely dry, flaky, peeling skin and these products are designed to exfoliate, hydrate, and unclog pores without the heaviness of a lot of the designer brand creams. They also have excellent liquid and powder foundation that won't cause breakouts or oiliness and are perfect for sensitive and combination skin types. In addition, they also have acne treatment chemicals to not just prevent breakouts, but also to treat them. It's a great brand if you're on a budget, at a Walgreens, or are looking for your go-to skin care brand.

  • Best, most dependable skincare that exists! I especially recommend their "oil free" products, as well as their makeup removing wipes. I use their eye makeup remover constantly, too, and it works amazingly, even removing waterproof makeup!

  • i personnally didn't likee it because it made my acne scars darker and that was because it contains alchool and i hope they change the ingredient of it. other than that everything is good i love texture i love that it doesn't dry your face after cleansing that it containd hylorinic acid

  • I have used Neutrogena for years and it always leaves me with a refreshing feeling. I have not ever had a bad experience using this product and it helped keep acne away during my teen life. I highly recommend for my own adult children to use.

  • Neutrogena has been coming out with a lot of great products! I feel like a lot of people are missing out on how good their products are compared to luxury brands. The only two downsides I experienced are that some of their face washes can be over-drying (which you can overcome by using a thick moisturizer) and they are kind of pricey (averaging around $20-$30).

  • I always end up coming back to neutrogena hydroboost water gel. It is so light and I love the gel texture. Never irritates my skin. Love it!
