Reviews mention

  • Effective magnesium sleep formula
  • Noticeably strengthening hair supplement
  • Mood-stabilizing adaptogen capsules
  • Elegant, reusable glass packaging
  • Polarizing, earthy powder flavors
  • Inconsistent supplement efficacy
  • Chalky, gritty protein texture
  • Gi-disruptive magnesium for some

Moon Juice earns mixed reviews: devotees praise Magnesi-om, Super You, and Super Hair for tangible sleep, mood, and hair-strength benefits, while detractors report negligible effects and off-putting flavors in powders like Sex Dust and Cosmic Cocoa. Reviews highlight elevated formulas, chic packaging, and effective skincare such as Acid Potion and Plump Jelly, but note inconsistent results, unpleasant taste/texture, occasional GI effects, large capsules, and concerns about hype and value.

  • I remember when green juice and the Goop lifestyle was novel, revolutionary and groundbreaking. I bought the Moon Juice book. I got sucked into the weird story of its founder, who appeared like a cool wealthy crystals chick. Followed her romances on social media, fawned over her midcentury furniture, and Topanga Canyon home (wow, wish I lived like that!) I remember when Father John MIsty made jokes on Instagram about stealing their giant rose quartz rock at the Venice Beach location. I made some of the concoctions like the spiced nuts and the 'salt and vinegar' almonds. Then, I promptly stopped. I have never used their skincare, never felt the need to. I never bothered with the Sex Dust, seemed gimmicky and expensive. There was once a time when I bought 'adaptogens' (lol) for myself. Now, I just eat meat and potatoes. Nothing wrong with that. Life is simpler and more pleasant now.

  • I enjoyed the magnesium, but don’t notice it working any better than similar products for half the cost. Didn’t notice any difference using the sex dust and didn’t enjoy the flavor or smell of it.

  • Have tried a few of their products with mixed results. I think they could do WAY more acknowledging that various cultures have been using these supplements/ingredients as medicine for centuries. Kinda feels like yt girlbossification.

  • It's relatively expensive for the ingredients/benefits. As this space becomes more competitive, there seem to be better options on the horizon. I bought my girlfriend "Sex Dust" as a gift and she didn't feel any changes after using it for a few weeks.

I tend to shy away from "proprietary blends" with a long list of ingredients.

  • Unfortunately everytime I try something to the store, I am very disappointed with the taste.

  • II've tried the moonjuice cosmic cocoa - I was really hoping that it would help me on my journey for increasing quality of sleep and mood improvement. I couldn't get past the weird taste! I found it more tolerable to mix with another high quality drinking chocolate, but found that it was a bit too much work for negligible effect.

  • Disclaimer: this review is about the smoothies and juices you can get in store. In short: they're daymakers. My tum doesn't do life very well sometimes, so it's pretty consistently exciting to be able to scoop up a blue keto mint chip shake + survive the day. Very grateful to Moon Juice for making dreams happen; it's a central part of my Venice rituals. (It's also nice to be able to have TONS of healthy options when picking up a smoothie or a juice for a friend!)

  • Trustworthy brand with beautiful packaging. I have tried multiple products from this brand (including protein powders, ashwaghanda, maca, "dusts," etc) and it's all high quality. Moon Juice was one of the first to make this product trend mainstream and chic; the products hadn't flooded the market yet so I was willing to pay the higher prices 5-10 years ago. Today, these kinds of adaptogens and wellness supplements are so popular and common place that you can find the same quality for better prices. Thus, I will not repurchase Moon Juice.

  • The experience with Moon Juice as a whole is just the best! I was a fan when they started and years later, I'm still equally excited about their launches. I'm currently in LOVE with Ting and Magnesi-om. I drink them every single day!

The box only has one tiny sliver of tape and when it arrived, it was 98% open, with the tiniest bit of tape holding on for dear life. I was worried it was broken inside. But, thankfully it was all good!

  • unremarkable. I did not feel or see much of a difference even after trying it out for 3-4 months.

  • Every one of their products I've tried has worked as advertised! I take Super You and Super Hair every day. I also have used brain dust and sex dust.

Expensive and I think wellness products should be accessible.

  • Their acid potion is one of the most incredible skincare products I have ever bought. No ifs, ands, or buts. And very reasonably priced for the quality.

  • I'm such a sucker for this type of brand. I fully understand that some of it is a little woo-woo, but there are some really incredible products as well. The magnesium powder really helps me calm down and tastes great. The cleanser / skincare line is incredible. Still lots of others that I want to try. I also love their stories in LA - such beautiful design and such a good treat to stop in for a juice or snack.

The protein powder I tried (the blue one) had a tragic texture / consistency, making my smoothies v chalky, which I didn't love.

  • I tried the Moon Juice hair nutrition because my hair was getting dry from color processing. It really made a difference. It’s so much healthier.

Received a free product from Moon Juice
  • I got a free week supply from free people when I bought something. So I said why not. I’m sorry maybe not long enough to see any difference but it didn’t have any change on me at all. Taste was fine. I wouldn’t rebuy

  • Big fan of the milk cleanser. It is my daily cleanser and is very gentle on my skin. I have very sensitive skin and it does not irritate or have adverse reaction.

No additional feedback. I would love to try other products from moon juice and see how they compare

  • I haven't tried too many of their products but a friend referred me to Magnesi-Om as I was feeling very stressed with my studies this past spring and wasn't sleeping well. I think it really helped me out! It was also nice to just have an evening routine of making a healthy drink and carving out some time to unwind with it.

  • I've been a Moon Juice user for a few years, but really committed at the beginning of 2022. I take SuperYou, Ting and Magnesi-om daily. I also have the Cosmic Cocoa. I truly feel the products have helped me adapt to stress and have helped my sleep and outlook on life.

Cost is almost too high for me to use the products regularly, that was why I didn't start sooner.

  • I use the shilajit and just ordered magnesium. I feel product is high-quality. I like the subscription option. Nice packaging: dark colored glass.

    Feedback

I trust the company but feel the price point is very high compared to competitors for certain items like magnesium.

  • Such a fan of Moon Juice, the Protein powder and Magnesi-OM are two staples in my kitchen.
