Cooling and comfortable, as advertised! I like a lower pillow, so this one is a teensy bit high but it is firm and not overly squishy.

I was excited to see Marlow on Thingdrop and to give them a try! First of all, I love the packaging and design, it is clean and aesthetically pleasing. The pillow was rolled up for compact shipping and unrolling it and letting it expand was a fun addition. The concept of the zippers to change the plushness was surprising to me but since I usually like a pillow in between I left one unzipped. So far I am loving the pillow although I am not sure how much the zippers change the firmness. I am happy to have the cover to protect the pillow but I wonder how cooling it is. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase!

Well made, noticed that my head felt cooler when waking up since I'm usually a hot sleeper. Like the concept of the zippers tweaking the firmness level but I didn't feel much of a difference. Still a bit stiff when I unzipped both. I'm hoping it will soften up more as I keep using it. Mine didn't have an odor as few other have mentioned. I'm not sure if I would have gotten this pillow without Thingdrop. For me personally the regular price is a little steep.

I’ve been on the hunt for a new pillow! I’ve tried Casper which was honestly just an expensive average pillow, And before getting marlow I was using an avocado pillow which was nice but its shape does pretty quick. So far the week I’ve been sleeping with marlow has been great I haven’t had to double up pillows and I like that with just the zippers you can change the fluffiness. Hopefully the shape holds longer than a month.

Firstly, the shipping, packaging, unboxing was great. The illustrations on the box were super cute. The pillow itself inflated really quickly, and I didn't notice any weird smell on the pillow or pillow protector. Changing the thickness was really easy to do, no mess. I do think this works really well for cooling. This pillow stays colder than any of my other ones. Support and comfort wise though it didn't seem particularly special to me.

The pillow is nice and it definitely is cooling but it reminds me of a hospital pillow. It might just be the material of the pillowcase and maybe it will become less stiff the more I wash it.

It's a nicely made pillow, and the adjustment via zipper is a neat concept. However, I returned it pretty quickly. Even when zipped, I found the pillow to be pretty soft and flat, despite the instructions saying this is the "firm" adjustment. Pillows are hugely subjective, and I don't think any amount of reviews can adapt to your own needs. I would just try pillows with a good return policy. Marlow was amazingly good/quick in this regard.

O how I wanted to love this. Always in search of my one true love of a pillow. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy it. It felt extremely lumpy. Almost as bad as the MyPillow, which is very bad. Whether it was zipped or unzipped it was too hard for my liking. Back To the drawing board

I am normally pretty picky about which pillows I sleep with, have a routine about which pillows go where, and hadn’t changed out my pillows in years. I’ve had amazing nights sleeps with this pillow, and am really impressed! I keep the firmness zippered and it feels great to have a protective covering on it that doubles as a coolant. Never thought I would enjoy it so much, or be able to buy a pillow from the internet without feeling it first.

I bought this pillow through Brooklinen to try out in the hopes that it would be a "perfect fit" for some of my sleep-related neck issues. It has what they call "adjustable firmness" since there are 2 zippers on both sides that you can zip or un-zip to customize how firm it's supposed to be. I think it's a clever idea but in practice, it doesn't feel much different than other alt-down pillows I've tried. I'm not a big fan of the zippers in real life either, it just seems counter-intuitive to have zippers near my face (even though I put a pillow case on it of course). It's overall just an ok pillow, not really worth the hype or price for me, I'll end up returning it.

I find this pillow really nice! I'm a firm pillow type of person, so marlow works for me. However, my partner wasn't a fan at all, so giving it 4 stars for the variety in takes :)

I ordered this for my husband as he had mentioned wanting a new cooling pillow. He has really enjoyed it and says he would get another one when it’s time to replace it. The pillow is firm and cool to the touch. The ability to adjust the firmness is great!

Perfect for supportive sleep

Great branding and great idea (in theory). Not sure if the product actually lives up to what it’s supposed to be. For me, both of the “settings” are too firm for me and I couldn’t really tell the difference between the two. I do think it’s a high quality product and well constructed - just doesn’t work for me. If I hadn’t gotten this through a thingdrop / discounted rate, I would’ve returned it 100%. At least what I didn’t pay the list price, which I do think is over priced.

Picking a pillow is really a personal choice. Some people may think this is too high or too low or not firm enough. In my case, I am a back sleeper and sometimes a side sleeper. I am also on the smaller side (5'0) For back sleeping this pillow is too high while being stiff. I found myself craning my neck forward which is not good for posture. For side sleeping it's quite good. Firm with the right amount of support and height. Although in the morning I found myself craning my neck again to get off the pillow. I generally prefer very low pillows because I am a back sleeper. This one is too high for back sleeping but alright for side sleeping. I agree with some others that the pillow case is kinda rough. It does feel cooling though. I probably would not buy another as a main pillow. Maybe as a back support pillow.

I really wanted to love it, the unboxing and associated experiences were all amazing but unfortunately this wasn't my preferred type of pillow. I like my pillow to be a bit more fluffy/bouncy and this was more dense. If you like being able to mold your pillow into a certain shape then this would probably work for you, but for me it felt very flat and uncomfortable. Will be moving it to the guest room :(

I'm extremely happy with my marlow pillow. I have bought so many pillows (I'm picky about pillows), always searching for the perfect one. I finally found it! The marlow pillow retains its support and is so comfortable. I like the firmness options and went for the zippered down firmness. Its firm but not hard, perfect for me.

ABSOLUTELY INLOVE WITH THIS PILLOW! It was time for me to get a new pillow. I was looking for something cooling and has memory foam, truly the only way I can sleep better and comfortably! so glad I have found Marlow through thing testing! It does what it says it does, I tend to get hot during my sleep so the cooling effect it has really helps me not wake up in the middle of the night and provides me comfort. The memory foam is also my absolute fave as it provides me the healthy and best sleep I need. Thank you, Marlow!

Pillow and protector both seem to be high quality, and I wanted to believe in all the features listed on the box - but it hasn't worked out that way for me. Like another review mentioned, there is a "packaged" smell that is very strong and after a week still hasn't really cleared. The pillow doesn't seem to be staying cool at all, but I also have a pillow case over the protector (I didn't want to see the white get all soiled) that could be impacting that feature. With both zippers open the pillow still feels very firm, and not plush at all. It's been very supportive and I haven't had any neck pain, but I also feel like I'm sleeping on a solid object with no give. Very mixed feelings - I had hoped this would be better at staying cool than my Purple pillow while still being supportive, but I still feel like I'm in search of the right pillow after this.

The differentiator of this product vs. other similar memory foam pillows on the market is the adjustable loftiness; which is a game changer. I'm obsessed with being able to customize it depending on how I want to sleep that night, it's so easy. The cooling effect is also real, I'm a very hot sleeper and this actually feels cooling. The only tiny critique I have is that in the instructions it should have showed what loftiness goes with which sleeping position because I'm a back sleeper and slept with medium loft and my neck hurt a bit the next day, learned the hard way!
