Reviews mention

  • Adjustable zippered firmness system
  • Cooling-infused memory foam feel
  • Supportive loft for side sleepers
  • Durable, well-constructed build
  • Stiff, uncomfortable cooling protector
  • Strong packaged chemical odor
  • Inconsistent firmness perception
  • Can feel flat for some sleepers

Marlow earns largely positive reviews for an adjustable, supportive pillow that often alleviates neck pain and stays noticeably cool, though opinions split on whether the zippered “firmness” settings feel meaningfully different. Reviews also flag drawbacks: frequent reports of excessive firmness or flatness depending on sleeper, a strong packaged odor for some, and a stiff, less-comfortable cooling protector; build feels high quality but the concept doesn’t suit everyone.

  • I really love this pillow. Every time I lay down, it reminds me of a hotel pillow. I was confused if I was supposed to use another pillowcase over the protector or not. I didn't use one the first few nights and then read on their website that they recommend a pillowcase so now using one, but find the cooling effect is less apparent, but I still enjoy it. The price is a little discouraging from buying another right away to make a set, but I'm sure I will get another eventually.

  • I was very on the fence about this when I ordered and then first tried. But after unzipping both sides to make it lighter, this pillow has easily changed the way I sleep. It's my absolute favorite pillow. Highly recommend the covers since you can't wash the pillows. Not being able to wash the pillows is probably my only complaint.

  • The Marlow pillow does what it sets out to do. It's comfortable and adaptable. I appreciate the side zippers for the adjustment because sometimes I want a fluffier feel. The price point is rather high, and I don't personally feel like the product meets the value. If the product cost a little bit less I would likely spring for a second, but since it didn't blow me away, we will keep searching.

  • Already have and love the Brooklinen sheets, so knowing these were created by the same team/brand definitely made me less hesitant to pull the trigger. Ordered the king-sized Cooling Bundle as part of my bedding refresh and they’ve been a game changer - cooling, adjustable, super comfortable, and they look luxe, esp with my satin pillow cases. Good price point, too. A solid sleep investment that I’m glad I made 😍.

  • The pillow case is really cool when you initially lay on it but it does warm up from body heat. The pillow is very very soft. Which I like but if you like a firmer pillow this may not work for you.

  • There’s nothing special about this pillow. I wanted to love it but it was expensive even for the Thingdrop price. The cooling slip does stay relatively cool though.

  • My husband and I love these pillows, we sleep good and don't wake up with a sore neck! I'm glad we purchased these!

  • I purchased two sets of these for my partner and myself on our king-size bed. We are both typically two pillow people and have only needed a single pillow each for the past year. I find that they are just now requiring a little extra fluffing before bed to ensure a good night's sleep but I have been pleasantly surprised by them. My main critique was they had a bit of a scent the first night or two while they aired out from their suctioned bags. I'd recommend letting me release and fluff for a day or two before sleeping on them.
