Magic Spoon largely satisfies those seeking a healthier, high‑protein, low‑sugar riff on nostalgic cereals, according to reviews, but it is not universally loved. Reviewers praise its 13g protein per serving, gluten‑free/grain‑free formulas, fun flavors like Fruity, Cocoa, Cinnamon Roll, and Maple Waffle, and cheerful packaging; common complaints cite an artificial or stevia/monk‑fruit aftertaste, gummy texture that sticks to teeth, flavor inconsistency (especially some chocolate/peanut butter variants), limited satiety for some, and very small, pricey boxes.

I love that this cereal is a healthier alternative to all my original childhood favorites and I don't feel guilty whatsoever about giving it to my own children, however, the price point keeps me from buying it often because it disappears so quickly in my house. Still a great option!
Love this as a fun, low sugar option for my kids. Will buy again.
I was really hopeful for this brand and opted for their starter pack of 6 boxes but struggled to get through one. I couldn't get past the weird aftertaste and found myself avoiding them in my kitchen.

I'm not the biggest cereal fan, but had to try this product. The branding is fun, but I was a bit disappointed by both the quality of packaging, as well as the product itself. If you're going for low-carb and high-protein, there seem to be many better options.
Tried the maple waffle flavor - the taste was okay, but the texture was a little off, a little to crumbly! I would buy on sale, but not at full price.
So I first learned about this brand at Natural Products Expo West and was impressed with how it tasted and the fact it was kept friendly, zero added sugar and high in protein. I ended up ordering the monthly subscription with a variety of flavors for two months before I just canceled it. I also tried their cereal bars and the cookies and cream bars were really good - highly recommend those.
Feedback
I thought the cereal flavors were good to start with, some I liked better than others (cookies and cream, maple were good) but they were all the same shape (O’s) just with different flavors. Not sure why that kind of bothered me but it did. Moving past the shape, the flavors kind of just got less and less appealing and then I started eating less and wasn’t able to finish each box so it would go stale and I’d have to throw it out. Ended up giving away a bunch of them. Not sure if I’m the best person to subscribe to cereal boxes since I don’t eat to every day, but it just became too much of a commitment. Love the packaging, marketing and nutrition but the flavors just weren’t there for me after awhile and I couldn’t do the subscription model.
I really didn't enjoy these at all, the texture was very off and the sweeteners didn't taste good at all. I understand the concept of the low-carb versions of comfort foods, but mates I'd rather not have any at all than replace them with something like this.
Delicious. While there is perhaps a bit of an unusual aftertaste and texture, it is delicious nonetheless. Crunchy without being hard. Will happily eat this any day.
I have tried the fruity cereal flavor because my local Target started selling the brand. After hearing numerous podcast ads for it, I was excited to try. I was happy that the taste was pretty similar to its sugary counterpart with the higher amount of protein, but I just had trouble wrapping my head around the price tag.
Feedback
I wish the price was a little lower because at the end of the day it just feels like you are having regular cereal at nearly 3 times the price.
Expensive... but tastes pretty good... but expensive... oof
The cereal is pretty good if you’re a fan of Cheerios.
Bringing back that childhood nostalgia but not making me feel guilty at the same time.

The fruity flavor is amazing and I would get that one again. The rest are ok.

Some of the flavors, like cocoa, need work.
There are flavors that i love and others that I don't. I think it is best to try each flavor to see which you prefer. I love the fruity, blueberry, and peanut butter. They taste great for having a high amount of protein in them but if you are used to the high sugar cereal this probably won't taste as great. I would say these cereals are the best on the market so far.

the cereal can get stuck in your teeth which is not a lovely experience.
Texture and flavor just does't compare to "unhealthy" cereal. It gets the job done if you're really trying to hit your macros, but not something I would reach for.
The brand taps on your nostalgia knee-- but the flavor falls short due to the artificial sweetner used in the product. As well as the cost.

The cost. And maybe add some cool stickers/ toys in the box for fun.
I ordered the fairly one online - it was DELICIOUS

the texture is great given its a protein cereal. the flavors also hit the spot

Cool initiative. But the flavor is only good if you are eating keto. Great texture!
Feedback
The formulation has a really low key flavor which is pretty mismatched with the brand messaging. But when I’m on a diet I love it
I really like magic spoon! Many of their flavors are just like the nostalgic cereal. I like the fruity flavor the best which tastes just like trix to me! They do taste kind of like whey, which they are so it makes sense. And at ~$10/box they are very expensive.

Fun packaging and marketing! Fun flavors! Taste? not for me! It tastes like a protein bar/powder somehow made itself into a bowl of cereal and had some cocoa powder lightly dusted on top. The aftertaste is protein powder-y .... which maybe I should have expected given it's grain-free, high protein, AND sugar-free. If I enjoyed the taste more, maybe I'd be less mad about how much money I spent on it...
