Mac Cosmetics reviews and discussion

I have had quite a few of MAC products over the years. I currently have a customizable eyeshadow palette to put eyeshadow minis in, several eyeliners, a Mac paint pot in my skin color as an eyes primer and some lipsticks. I think the eyeshadows & eyeliners are definitely worth the money. They are highly pigmented and are long lasting, especially with the paint pot under them.

I am in my 30s and appreciate versatility at this stage in my life- sometimes I want maximum sass, and sometimes I want gentle sophistication. I wear blush as a way of achieving high drama, or adding a vivacious glow over my tinted sunscreen or foundation. I tried MAC's strobe beam liquid blush in the shade "unsweetened". It looks like a lipstick, but is actually functions like a super chromatic blush/highlighter duo. At first I was apprehensive at how pigmented it was- the color can be a bit harsh on my pale skin. However, its ultimately a neutral/cool berry red that blends beautifully into a natural glow. I like how it has such a natural skin finish, which glows but not in a unicorn-ey way. A little goes a long way, and it's extremely versatile, having used it for a punch of color on the lips and cheeks or a more subtle glow. The finish is spectacular- I love the natural glow and the subtle (or not so subtle- based on what you choose) glam. I have a pressed powder from Mac that has beautiful coverage. Unfortunately, I got it in the wrong undertone so it comes off as grey on me, but I do appreciate the wide shade range and am confident that I will be able to find the correct shade next time.

Everything about these products screams luxe. The Stack mascara gives length and volume without clumping, and the eyeshadows blend like a dream. The lipstick feels rich and pigmented, but be sure to exfoliate—otherwise it clings to dry patches.

Even to this day obviously one of the most classic brand that you can always count on. I’m guessing every makeup enthusiast has at least one MAC product in their collection. One of my favorites is the classic lipstick collection. Just any shade you could ever want and a formula that does the job. I also love the strobe lotion. And it’s even better now that they’ve added more shades to the range but the sent is the same and I love it.

I recently tried the new glow play lip balms and I am so obsessed 😍 they give great color on the lips and hydration and the results are very long wearing. I tried the shade “trick” But I definitely want to get more shades💛✨✨

I love the spike brow, pencil that i have been using for years now, but they have change the new look and designed thinking it should somewhat be better but turned out worse. I wish i could find the old pencil. I'm not going to spend my money on the new one does not last long at all..

I love their small eyeshadow palette. I still use It the colors are so pretty and pigmented.

MAC is a great cosmetics company. They make the most gorgeously colored eye shadows and a really reliable makeup setting spray.

Thanks to the rise of some of the OG YouTube beauty influencers like juicystar07 back in 2010, I spent most of high school lusting over getting a MAC concealer or the mineralize skinfinish highlighter very specifically in soft and gentle. Now I feel like they are still a beauty brand that is a slightly more accessible intro to more "higher end" cosmetics. I've since reverted back to my drugstore makeup ways but I do think they have great quality products!

Very good quality and like the products but a big thing as of why I don’t like this brand is because they are not cruelty free. It’s expensive too

I've tried a few different facial products from Mac, like their foundation and concealer. I really wanted to like it but it felt really thick on my face. I also was never able to find a perfect shade that fit my skin tone.

To loosely quote Tony Soprano, when it comes to Mac I feel like I came in at the end of something really good. Their lip products and the studio fix powders have always been phenomenal in my experience, but I feel like the heyday of the brand and its popularity was during my early adolescence before I was really wearing makeup. There are shades of eyeshadows that have been discontinued and it isn’t as talked about as much. The way I think about it, Mac has its signature products that are pretty tried and true by now, they’re just not doing anything super innovative the way they once did before inclusive, makeup artist-quality brands like Fenty Beauty came on the scene.

lipsticks are 5 out 5, but I dont wear lipstick anymore. Cover ups, powders, etc are all too heavy and cakey. As someone who wears minimal makeup and prefer a face that can breath, Mac is not for me.

I like three of their products; their lipsticks, foundation, and prep+prime spray. I don't like the price tag for such little product though.

Very beautiful and classic cosmetics. I especially love their fix plus mist, Russian red lipstick, and teddy eyeliner.

It's a legacy brand that kinda gives me 2016 vibes but since they had tube girl in their recent campaigns and shows, it's super cool to see them keep up with the times (iykyk!!) I feel like they haven't released anything exciting for a while, but the setting spray will always remain as one of the best in the game.

The price is quite high but it is worth the quality. The setting spray and foundation are so good. However, about the foundation, they should have a pump to easily use it.
