Halo Top earns mixed reviews: the brand delivers a credible low-calorie, higher-protein alternative that many find creamy enough with creative flavors like Birthday Cake, Red Velvet, Caramel Cookie Crunch, and Keto Macadamia Nut Cookie, but it often falls short of full-fat ice cream with icy textures, artificial sweetener aftertaste, and inconsistent mix-ins. Reviews cite satisfying volume and flavor variety as strengths, while weaknesses include watery or grainy textures, uneven flavor quality, and some products (like ready-to-bake cookies) baking up too soft and overly sweet.

I have the strawberry cheesecake mix-ins version of Halo Top which is one of their higher calorie options at 490 calories per pint. I think that it is still not a very good ice cream. I would rather spend the money and calories on something more fulfilling.

I love Halo Top as a light frozen treat because of its creative flavors and great taste. Most of the time lower-calorie ice cream can be lacking in flavor. I don't experience that with Halo Top. I love that they have fun flavors like chocolate cake batter that make it possible to have a fun treat without all the calories.

I’ve been eating Halo Top for years. I love how low calorie it is and that it has protein. The flavors are all pretty good. I liked the new mix in variety. The caramel cookie crunch was my favorite flavor.

I've tried two flavors from this brand. The chocolate chip cookie dough was pretty good, but the cookies & cream felt way too watery and tasteless. This mixed result makes me hesitant to want to try new flavors because what if I pick another dud?

I’ve tried both the ice creams and the fruit popsicles, enjoyed both. The ice creams can be a bit icy and definitely aren’t as creamy as full fat ice cream, but that’s the trade off as expected. Ice pops are good!

Halo Top is a great alternative to regular ice cream. while it can be less sweet, I think it is still a decent treat. Gingerbread house and birthday cake are my favs!

The ice cream was just okay. I understand it is a low calorie ice cream so it will be difficult to replicate the richness that full fat milk ice cream has. To me the taste was artificial tasting and texture too soft. I do like the variety of flavors that they offer and that it’s half the calories of regular ice cream.

I had the honor of testing Halo Top Red Velvet Ice Cream, yum, red velvet, so smooth and creamy, what a wonderful treat. I cant wait to try other flavors now, I'm sure I wont be disappointed.

I had high expectations for this ice cream. It was just okay and expensive.

I love that these are a low calorie and high volume treat. I wouldn't consider them packed with protein but if you are craving a healthy alternative to ice cream Halo Top is the way to go. They are creamy and have a good amount of flavor. Honestly in some ways I like them better than real ice cream. Just wish they were a little cheeper.
In the past I have gotten these when on sale. I personally have been trying to avoid ice creams but they are flavorful!
Halo Top is a great low-carb, lower-sugar ice cream with protein. I recommend their Keto series, especially the Macadamia Nut Cookie flavor.
The birthday cake is the best flavor, but as it is a lower-calorie option it obviously won't be as good as the classics. I'd rather eat a smaller portion of regular ice cream than this.
I mean I like that it's low calories and thats its ice cream! But thats about it. I can taste the artificialness of it and looking at the ingredients, it doesn't really make it worth it to save those calories. Yeah the pint is 300 something calories but I've found another ice cream brand that a whole pint is a little above or near the same amount, has better ingredients and a higher amount of protein and tastes like ice cream. Also it's pretty expensive.
It’s cool that you can eat a whole pint of this ice cream because it’s low Calorie. That’s an awesome selling point. I do think the flavor isn’t as great because of that but for what it is, it works!
Definitely good for anyone who want something sweet for fewer calories, but it’s not my favorite. I’ve noticed there’s an almost grainy texture to the ice cream, and some flavors have that aspartame-y aftertaste.
I liked the way their packaging and branding is designed it's the only thing I like about this brand. The ice cream itself tasted watery and melted alot more faster than other ice creams that I've tasted. The Chocolate Caramel Brownie flavor had very small and tasteless chunks of brownie pieces. Throughout the whole pint they barely put any of the brownie pieces in there. This tasted nothing like the flavor that it was advertised to be!
It just wasn’t for me. I don’t think it’s a good substitute for ice cream may be good for bodybuilders and those who are a calorie counting. I didn’t satiate my craving. I didn’t like the texture, and I can’t even give it to my kid since I am weary of the chemicals .
Does not taste like ice cream, it does not freeze like ice cream. The flavor tastes very artificial with the fake sugars. Not a fan of the peanut butter cup.
The texture of this ice cream was really weird to me and I wasn't too fond of the flavors...
