Halo Top earns mixed reviews: the brand delivers a credible low-calorie, higher-protein alternative that many find creamy enough with creative flavors like Birthday Cake, Red Velvet, Caramel Cookie Crunch, and Keto Macadamia Nut Cookie, but it often falls short of full-fat ice cream with icy textures, artificial sweetener aftertaste, and inconsistent mix-ins. Reviews cite satisfying volume and flavor variety as strengths, while weaknesses include watery or grainy textures, uneven flavor quality, and some products (like ready-to-bake cookies) baking up too soft and overly sweet.

I like the idea of this product, but it really doesn't satisfy a craving for ice cream. While it can be palatable as a frozen dessert on occasion, it sometimes leaves a burning sensation in your throat after consuming, which makes it feel as if you are eating a highly processed product.
Not my favourite, taste and texture wise it isn't great in my opinion. If it's calories you're concerned about, you're honestly better off just eating a smaller amount of regular ice cream than a whole tub of Halo Top, because this is expensive and really doesn't live up to the hype.
this ice cream was the crazy 7-8 years ago, and it was absolutely overhyped. i tried several flavors, red velvet, vanilla, chocolate, and mint chip. all of them were honestly terrible 😠it was not creamy, and tasted like artificial sweeteners. unfortunately i will not be trying these again.
Halo Top tastes good for being so low calorie, but in terms of frozen desserts, I would prefer to eat a regular dessert and have less, or not have ice cream as often. Flavors are hit and miss, with some having more of that artificially flavored/fake sugar taste. I would recommend this for someone who is fine with diet-type items and doesn't struggle with their diet, although I'm not sure if someone who doesn't struggle with their diet would ever reach for this product.
I recently bought and made Halo Top's Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chip ready-to-bake cookies. I wish I didn't. I followed the instructions on the back of the package, and the cookies came out only partially done. I attempted to cook them a little longer to no effect. They eventually dried out, but remained too soft, gooey, and sweet for me to want to do anything other than eat them myself.

I actually really liked the flavor of the peanut butter ice cream. A lot of people have commented on the texture- the one I tried was definitely more whipped and therefore felt lighter, but I didn't notice any graininess or other issues. The best part was the peanut butter swirl. Based on other reviews I don't know that I would try other flavors, but I really enjoyed this one.

Good concept and product, but annoyed that the nutritional content changes so often.
I have tried other "healthier" ice creams and they almost always seem to lack something in the flavor or texture. Halo Top was a pleasant surprise! The first flavor I tried was Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and it did not disappoint! The texture was creamy and the flavor was delicious! I have since tried several of the other flavors and they are just as great! Halo Top also has dairy free (made with coconut cream) and gluten free options.

Halo Top ice cream is a decent option for those seeking a lower-calorie alternative to traditional ice cream. I appreciate that it contains fewer calories and less sugar than regular ice cream, making it a guilt-free treat for those watching their calorie intake. The variety of flavors offered by Halo Top is impressive, and they have some unique options that cater to different preferences. From classic favorites like chocolate and vanilla to more adventurous choices like birthday cake and peanut butter cup, there's something for everyone. The texture of Halo Top can be hit or miss. While some flavors have a smooth and creamy consistency, others can feel slightly icy and less indulgent. However, it's understandable given the lower fat content and calorie reduction. One thing to note is that the sweetness of Halo Top might not be for everyone. Since it uses alternative sweeteners, some people may find the taste slightly different from regular ice cream. Overall, Halo Top is a decent option for those looking for a lighter ice cream alternative. While it may not fully replace the rich and creamy taste of traditional ice cream, it serves as a guilt-free option for indulging in a frozen treat with a lower calorie count and less sugar.
You need to get the ones with chunky goodness, wish there was more bits but I know its to save calories.

Halo Top has wide range of flavors to choose from. The ice cream is lower in fat, sugar and calories but higher in protein than the regular ice cream. The taste is delicious, wish the cookies bits are much bigger, ha! The texture is good - creamy and soft.
The flavor of these ice creams are indescribably amazing! The quality of the ice cream is very good and very good for weight loss! I recommend anyone who is on a diet looking for a way to make it enjoying and long lasting.

I love Halo Top ice cream! I love creamy, fluffy, good-tasting ice cream and this is really just that! Only it's low sugar and higher in protein...even better! I will definitely be buying it again.
