Reviews mention

  • Creamy, satisfying cheese sauce
  • Al dente, springy noodles
  • High‑protein, fiber‑rich formulation
  • Playful, distinctive flavor variety
  • Inconsistent, muted flavor execution
  • Salty, high‑sodium sauce
  • Small, unsatisfying portions
  • Occasional digestive discomfort reports

GOODLES earns strong reviews as a tastier, higher‑protein, high‑fiber upgrade to classic boxed mac and cheese, with many praising creamy, cheesy flavors (Shella Good, Cheddy Mac, Twist My Parm, Down The Hatch) and al dente noodles. However, reviews flag inconsistent flavor execution (especially Cacio e Pepe and some vegan options), occasional watery or bland sauces, high sodium, small portions, and reports of stomach discomfort; shoppers who prioritize nutrition over pure nostalgia find it a compelling pantry staple, while purists may prefer Annie’s or Kraft.

  • Just tried Goodles for the first time tonight. We had the Cheddar flavor and it was good. Everyone enjoyed it. I can't say that it was significantly better tasting than other brands of mac and cheese but it definitely tastes just as good and is high in protein and fiber.

  • I try to eat vegan whenever I can, but haven't gotten into the vegan mac n cheese category before this. Actually, the only reason I bought it was because I was walking through the pasta aisle to reach the oatmeal in Whole Foods and Goodles had a piece of sales collateral sticking out of the shelf that caught my eye. I thought it tasted quite good, though I don't have much to compare it too. Better than my chicken-broccoli-rice. I like the branding :)

  • Really excellent quality, gorgeous packaging and generous portions! Obsessed with the ingredients and the zero compromises on flavour that Goodles offers. Especially keen on the white cheddar shells — the best alternative to Annie's I've found!

Price is a little high for what this is, but hopefully this comes down when the brand scales.

  • While these don't taste exactly like that classic Kraft boxed stuff we grew up on, as a higher protein and fiber alternative this is the best option I've tried. The cheese flavor is solid and a little more complex that adults and kids will enjoy, with variations outside of standard cheddar to mix it up. The newer dry pasta without the cheese powder is also quite good compared to other types of high-protein pasta brands and I prefer it over Banza, Barilla protein+, etc. and comes in a variety of fun shapes.

  • As someone who is constantly looking for sneaky ways to add more protein into my diet, AND as someone who haaates figuring out meals/lunches, Goodles is one of my recent favorites. The cacio e pepe and truffle are my go-tos. I'll probably never go back to "regular" mac n cheese.

  • I really wanted to love this. I grabbed a few boxes because I like having a super quick and easy snack on hand for those days when you just can't be bothered to "cook" and don't want to drop $50 on one item in delivery food. I grew up having the occasional box of Kraft and was hoping this would be even better than that for when the craving strikes because I like the ingredients of Goodles so much more. Unfortunately I found the sauce to be really chunky and like it almost coagulated as time went on. I now find myself reaching for store brand of kraft over goodles and still have some goodles in my pantry because I don't have the desire to eat it again.

  • New holy grail! I saw these at Target after seeing them on Thingtesting and got a box of the Cheddy Mac and the Mover & Shaker (Cacio e pepe). My husband is a hardcore Kraft mac guy and he liked it. The flavor, combined with the nutrition make Goodles a total 10/10 for me. Easy to prepare, too! Edit: I had a small problem with my order (was accidentally sent the wrong product) and I had a replacement sent my way within 15 mins of me emailing their customer service. Incredible!

  • I picked this up from Whole Foods since I've been trying to switch to healthier, high-protein foods. I loved the taste and flavor, but I needed to add more milk than the instructions to make it creamier and I added more shredded cheese. It's an easy weekday dinner meal, I wish it wasn't as expensive but I do look forward to trying other flavors!

  • These are absolutely delicious! They taste just as good as kraft mac and cheese with none of the guilt. Love that they are high in protein! Four stars because I got an absolutely horrible stomach ache after eating the twist my parm flavour. I thought the twist my parm was fine, but nothing special. A bit light on flavour, probably wouldn't buy this flavour again due to the price point. Cheddy mac was absolutely fantastic! Pretty expensive but great for a treat!

Boxed mac and cheese is the type of comfort snack you go for when you're feeling cheap and lazy. The price point for these is super high compared to regular boxed mac ($7 CAD a box, compared to 4 boxes for $5 of Kraft). Wish they were a little more affordable.

  • Definitely yummy. Goodles aren't something I crave 24/7, but let's just say I won't be buying kraft mac & cheese ever again... I loveeee that it's high protein especially because I'm vegetarian :)

  • As a vegan for 5+ years, I'm always on the hunt for good vegan Mac & Cheese. Nothing I found amazed me until I tried Goodles Vegan White Cheddar Mac. I was shocked at how delicious it tasted! This stuff is SO addictive (you have been warned). It's simple to make, has good ingredients, and doesn't have that fake cheesy flavor like some other vegan Mac & Cheeses on the market do.

Would love to see another vegan flavor!

  • I ordered the variety pack on a whim from the Thingtesting newsletter and had pretty low expectations -- usually the things I buy from the newsletters are fine/good but not amazing enough to repurchase. But Goodles? Goodles I will be repurchasing. First of all, the aesthetic is top notch. Fun packaging PLUS knuc tats? What's not to love! Shipping was also suuuper fast even during the holiday season. We tried the Twist My Parm first -- taste was great, easy to make, cute lil noodles, and we even used oat milk instead of cow's milk which didn't negatively impact the taste at all. It's not a huge portion for 2 people, but we supplemented with some avocado and it was reasonably filling. I'm excited to try the rest of the flavors and honestly can see myself reaching for Goodles a lot in the future when I'm looking for a quick, easy, homey meal. Woohoo!

  • OODLES of GOODLES NOODLES! We all love a quick dinner after a long day! For me Goodles checks all the right boxes - Cost, Tastes, Time and Nutrition. This is my new go to when I am in a pinch. I have always been an Annie's Organic girl but since testing Goodles I have switched over. My favorites are Mover & Shaker and Cheddy Mac!

  • I am a big fan of the Goodles boxed macaroni and cheese. I have tried a bunch of different flavors and all of them have been great. I think that the sauces are really good quality and the noodles just seem far superior than normal boxed mac & cheese, plus I enjoy that the products are made with better for you ingredients than other traditional box macaroni and cheese.

  • Goodles surpassed my expectations! The flavors are top-notch, and the added protein is a big bonus. Super convenient to make!

  • A good, comfort, mac and cheese out of a box. Hits the spots when you’re craving it. I definitely want to try other flavors

I got it on a deal after watching good morning America. Without the deal I could see it being a bit pricey.

  • I REALLY wanted to love GOODLES’ Mover & Shaker flavor but — meh. It’s Cacio E Pepe inspired but it fell short for me. It was bland but, peppery. Granted it’s a dish that already doesn’t have a lot of ingredients but, it could have way more punch to it. I’ll have to try the others.

  • Not ashamed to say mac and cheese is still a comfort (and frequent) food in my mid 20’s.. so on my usual stroll down the aisle Goodles definitely caught my attention! The branding is what grabbed me, the amount of protein is what made me put it in my cart! So far I’ve tried Cheddy Mac and Shells Good, and both have been amazing. If you told me this was Kraft I would believe you, which is the highest praise you can give it in my book. Love that I’m getting the same taste while actually fueling my body (at least enough to get up and finish the box off). Couldn’t recommend it more and can’t wait to try the other flavors!

As a vegetarian, I’m always trying to add in more protein so that’s a big box checked! The price is obviously high for mac and cheese in a box, but I’m not taking it out of my diet any time soon so might as well get the one with some added benefits!

  • I tried the “Cheddy Mac” flavor and was pleasantly surprised to how good it is. It doesn’t taste any different from normal mac and cheese so it’s a win for me :)

  • Tasted just like Kraft but healthier! The only issue I have with it is that it has a slight cart board after taste, I think they should change the packaging but they’re still delicious
