  • I love their Generation G matte lipstick. It doesn't make my lips dry or flaky, and the Jam colour still looks light and fun in the summer, even though it's a deep purple. I've bought multiple formulations of it over the years and it still holds up.

  • I love the Lavender Balm! It's a great color for me and very moisturizing, it seems like it would be a good balm for overnight. Sorry to see it's already on clearance, purple shades are hard to come by.

  • I recently tried Glossier’s liquid foundation and I’m honestly so impressed! I’ve used Fenty Beauty in the past, but I actually like Glossier’s formula better. It feels lighter, more breathable, and somehow still gives me that smooth, even finish I’m looking for. I’ve been pairing it with my beef tallow as a base (yes, really!), and it blends like a dream. My skin has been thriving—both while wearing it and even after I wash it off. No irritation, no dryness, just happy skin. I don’t apply it on my chin or forehead, just focusing on the areas that need a little evening out, and it still gives me such a natural glow. I’m adding a photo so you can see how it’s looking on me—no filter, just good light and Glossier magic ✨

  • I’ve been a Glossier fan since the beginning. The three products I keep coming back for: bow brow, cloud paint, & the You perfume. I know the reformulation of You has disappointed many (myself included) because the scent doesn’t last as long, but I still find the scent of this perfume to be my favorite mix of spice & sweetness. It is bright and warm at the same time and smells incredible on my skin. I don’t mind reapplying a little more often, and have the rollerball in my bag for this purpose whenever I need a refresher. I’ve just picked up the new You Réve perfume today and am excited to try something new from them and see if it’ll become a new staple!

  • I used to love, love, love Glossier. The products, the branding, the concept - everything. That is, until I went into their physical store in London and felt like the oldest person in the room (aside from the mums and dads). This brand does what it sets out to do and markets to the Gen Z customer. That said, the boy brow has been my go-to from the brand for years and I don't think I'll be replacing it for anything more 'age appropriate' anytime soon. I'm in my mid-30s, FYI. Oh, and I also treated myself to the banana balm recently. Yet to use it but banana is always fun.

  • I've tried almost every Glossier product and I really loved them when they first came out, but it's apparent that their formulations have changed because the quality doesn't feel the same.

    No relationship
  • The you perfume is my staple. I get so many compliments but I also think it’s strong but not overly powerful. It’s a great starting point for daytime wear but still sexy and alluring for night time. I also have the candle and it makes my room smell so luxurious

  • I’m kind of a sucker for the glossier brand I like their marketing and I like the simple packaging. I like the colors. I bought the YOU fragrance years ago and it’s still one of the best. I would recommend it to anybody.

  • Glossier is an expert with product packaging. I always receive my products in a cute pink bubble wrap ziploc complete with stickers. I’m a frequent user of their face wash, bronze wand, and cream blush.

  • I was able to go to the Flagship store in Los Angeles and that was an incredible experience. It's also the main reason I've purchased from Glossier - an ultralip and balm dot com. I really wanted to test out the products in person to know what colors would look good. The ultralip is so pigmented - I need one swipe and I'm done. And there's plenty of product. And the pink packaging! The balm dot com is amazing but I use it minimally as the glitter can be a lot. (birthday version)

I've read that Glossier is making moves away from the DTC space and I think it'll be incredibly beneficial because I wouldn't have purchased any products without shade testing first.

  • Beautiful and wonderful products. Most importantly everything works - I live for their sunscreen and boy brow is amazing! Packaging is amazing and it's always exiting to receive a new package with testers and stickers and the pretty pink box. Always very quick delivery! I love that you can opt in or out of getting the pink pouch without any added prize - I only choose it when my old one breaks, but don't need a new one for every purchase.

Sometimes the pumps back up, but they can be cleaned in water and screwed back on.

  • As the first DTC brand for skin care and make up I say kudos to them! Beyond that it’s really nothing special. The packaging and product just falls apart, and it’s for people who don’t really need make up. In other words, very young people young skin with very few issues. The stores are fun to shop in (LA) and tge unboxing is fun.

I work on beauty branding and packaging design, FYI, I bought a lip stick and the product just simply fell out of the case and got so dirty it’s wasted. It not hard to get stick packaging and make sure it works That said I like their lidsstar and their highlighter and boy brow are decent, but again it’s really nothing special. I have bought their lip balm and literally gives no color. Honestly I don’t get what all the hype is about but I’m also not a tween. Come on guys, we can do better! I will say their unboxing was really fun and loved the reusable pouch. But that’s hardly the reason to buy make up, or is it?

  • Context: I have multi-type rosacea (ocular, papulopustular, and mild generalized redness). I also have a propensity to develop dyshidrotic eczema, ingrown hairs, and congested pores in oily zones. My skin type is *extremely* temperamental, and I have to be careful about using irritating, highly fragranced, or "active" ingredients. I work with an excellent dermatologist and aesthetician to manage my skincare. I will only use vetted cruelty free brands. I have been using an assortment of Glossier products for approximately four months: Super Bounce, BalmDotCom (in Rose), Milky Jelly Cleanser, and Priming Moisturizer Balance are the standout products for individuals who need non-occlusive, very hydrating, skin-barrier respecting products. Super Bounce is easily one of the best moisturizing serums on the market, and is likely THE best if you're shopping cruelty free or on a budget. It keeps your skin comfortable -- you regret it if you don't use it, and its formula is jawdropping awesome. I can even use it around my eyes and lips. BalmDotCom is one of the four balms/glosses that I use in regular rotation. I'm very particular about my lip "base" because I a) am prone to peeling and cracking and b) love wearing lip color. The scent of the lanolin takes getting used to, but I appreciate it when my lips are feeling dry. I also appreciate that the company sources the lanolin responsibly, without cruelty. Milky Jelly Cleanser is divine. It has a thick, gel texture and absolutely zero lather. It keeps my pore congestion in check, and gentle exfoliation (PHA) once a week is all the "deep cleanse" needed to maintain smooth, soft skin and minimal rosacea flares. Priming Moisturizer Balance is an extremely lightweight, non-occlusive, effectively hydrating moisturizer . I love it and use it in rotation with another brand, depending on my daily skin needs. I can use it around my eyes and lips, and it smells neutral. My only caveat is that I haven't yet used it in winter and imagine I will have to layer it when that time comes. I have also tried FutureDew and Priming Moisturizer, as well as their Glossier Perfume Solid. In short, I was displeased with the smell of FutureDew (which reminds me of Borage oil, which I despise) and found that it sat on my skin. Priming Moisturizer is not a hydrating as their lighter "Balance" moisturizer and more occlusive, which caused some rosacea flare. I also tried Glossier Perfume Solid and it is powderier than advertised, which I actually prefer. Definitely peppery, and combined with the ambrette base it is reminiscent of a clean, non-sweet amber. The floral notes are present but hard to pin down -- they're not the star of the show. Leans heavily feminine for sure, and you'll keep going in for a whiff throughout the day. It's kind of like hugging a classy auntie, where you're not sure if you're smelling her perfume or her lifestyle.

  • Fun, no-fuss products with minimalist vibes and A++ customer service + social presence. Not only is everything easy and fun to wear (looks good on all skin tones; you often don't need a mirror), but Glossier is the queen of using Instagram to build a well-loved community. I love comparing Glossier products with girlfriends on vacation.

Some items are pricey for what you get

  • I love Glossier a lot. It really lives up to the minimalistic, natural beauty look. The formulations are very well created. This is the perfect brand to reach for for either natural makeup or makeup for beginners.

    Feedback

I think Glossier should get rid of the skincare aspect of their brand and stick to makeup. The skincare products are poorly reviewed by skin experts. I never go to that part of the website because they only really advertise the makeup aspect of the brand.

  • I have been a glossier fan since day 1! So I have loved watching the brand evolve and grow. Its such a fresh and innovative approach to beauty. The price point is so accessible and the products are Innovative and fun. My only issue, which is the same with all of gen z/millennial driven brands, is the lack of age representation. I’m 51 and love to try everything but I just feel like these younger brands need to be more inclusive with women like me.

    More age inclusivity.

  • Body Hero is one of my favorite body washes. After I shower my boyfriend can't stop smelling me! Visiting the amazing West Hollywood location makes it even funner :) :) :)

  • Back in the day, I used to love Glossier. The gloss has worn off for me over the years mostly because I'm not into their makeup products and none of the new releases have impressed me. I do still reach back for some classics every once in a while, like the balm dot com and haloscope. Otherwise, I'd say this is a great brand for starters and experimenting. I'm looking forward to see how their store experiences evolve with the new locations in the works.

Too much packaging! I'm glad that they now have the option to opt out of all the stickers and swag...I have stickers for life. Not to mention, the internal turmoil behind the scenes with the retail staff is not a good look.

  • *Disclaimer: I interned at Glossier in 2017 and was given their entire product range to test! However have no affiliation with them now.* I've spent a lot of time thinking about Glossier and testing different products. On balance, I think it's a great 'entry level' skincare brand but doesn't do a ton of "heavy lifting", which I also wouldn't expect for their price point. I don't love the colour cosmetics and masks but there are a few CULT products that I consistently buy on repeat, and would stand by any day against more fancy / expensive brands. Most of them are the ones that sit somehow between active skincare and makeup. My MUST have/try products are as follows: - Invisible Shield daily sunscreen +: I LOVE this product, it smells amazing, has a lightweight invisible texture, and has a lovely sheen to it. I actually use it as a final makeup step, as I love the subtle glow it gives. I would note that I have easy skin so I feel like a light daily SPF is adequate, I would probably use something more heavy duty on vacation. - BoyBrow: the first product I got addicted to - cant fault it, cheap and effective - FutureDew: New discovery and i LOVE it. Perfect dewy glow AND moisturiser - what's not to love - UltraLip: New discovery and REALLY LIKE IT which I didnt expect to as I really dont like the Generation G lipsticks Products I don't love personally: - priming moisturiser actually felt like it dried my skin; rich moisturiser is bit better, but I'm a moisturiser snob and want something more heavy duty - find the Gen G lipsticks drying/not great coverage - dont love the masks- again, for something more heavy duty it's just not the brand I'd go for, but maybe as a teen I would have liked?! Other: - Guilty pleasure is the milky jelly cleanser as I love the smell and texture, but i dont think it's actually that great as a cleanser ! However I literally keep one in my shower since I like the feel of applying it on my skin ! - the lipbalms are fine, super super cute flavours but no more effective than a vaseline etc- but do it for the birthday cake edition

Less plastic packaging would be great. Pricing is very fair. Product feedback as above.

    Interned in 2017!
  • BIG BIG BIG FAN of Glossier!! I love how clean and light the product feels - especially since I have such sensitive skin and barely wear any makeup. Obviously the balm dot coms are a must-have in any purse, but right now I am loving the You perfume as my daily! The clean and simple scent is perfect for my day to day activities. I also love the milky jelly cleanser - really good for sensitive skin and leaves me feeling refreshed!
