Reviews mention

  • Effortless, natural makeup
  • Compliment‑magnet signature fragrance
  • Easy, finger‑friendly application
  • Elegant, minimalist packaging
  • Very sheer complexion coverage
  • Inconsistent eyeshadow performance
  • Occasional packaging durability issues
  • Modest perfume longevity

Glossier earns praise in reviews for effortless, natural-looking makeup—standouts include Boy Brow, Cloud Paint, Lash Slick, Stretch Concealer, and the widely loved Glossier You fragrance—while feedback flags inconsistent skincare efficacy, very sheer coverage, limited shade inclusivity, and packaging or formula issues (drying mascaras, leaky balms, cracked lipstick caps). Reviews call the brand good for “no-makeup makeup” days and easy application, but note hit-or-miss products, reformulation concerns, and perfume longevity as weaknesses.

  • Back in the day, I used to love Glossier. The gloss has worn off for me over the years mostly because I'm not into their makeup products and none of the new releases have impressed me. I do still reach back for some classics every once in a while, like the balm dot com and haloscope. Otherwise, I'd say this is a great brand for starters and experimenting. I'm looking forward to see how their store experiences evolve with the new locations in the works.

Too much packaging! I'm glad that they now have the option to opt out of all the stickers and swag...I have stickers for life. Not to mention, the internal turmoil behind the scenes with the retail staff is not a good look.

  • *Disclaimer: I interned at Glossier in 2017 and was given their entire product range to test! However have no affiliation with them now.* I've spent a lot of time thinking about Glossier and testing different products. On balance, I think it's a great 'entry level' skincare brand but doesn't do a ton of "heavy lifting", which I also wouldn't expect for their price point. I don't love the colour cosmetics and masks but there are a few CULT products that I consistently buy on repeat, and would stand by any day against more fancy / expensive brands. Most of them are the ones that sit somehow between active skincare and makeup. My MUST have/try products are as follows: - Invisible Shield daily sunscreen +: I LOVE this product, it smells amazing, has a lightweight invisible texture, and has a lovely sheen to it. I actually use it as a final makeup step, as I love the subtle glow it gives. I would note that I have easy skin so I feel like a light daily SPF is adequate, I would probably use something more heavy duty on vacation. - BoyBrow: the first product I got addicted to - cant fault it, cheap and effective - FutureDew: New discovery and i LOVE it. Perfect dewy glow AND moisturiser - what's not to love - UltraLip: New discovery and REALLY LIKE IT which I didnt expect to as I really dont like the Generation G lipsticks Products I don't love personally: - priming moisturiser actually felt like it dried my skin; rich moisturiser is bit better, but I'm a moisturiser snob and want something more heavy duty - find the Gen G lipsticks drying/not great coverage - dont love the masks- again, for something more heavy duty it's just not the brand I'd go for, but maybe as a teen I would have liked?! Other: - Guilty pleasure is the milky jelly cleanser as I love the smell and texture, but i dont think it's actually that great as a cleanser ! However I literally keep one in my shower since I like the feel of applying it on my skin ! - the lipbalms are fine, super super cute flavours but no more effective than a vaseline etc- but do it for the birthday cake edition

Less plastic packaging would be great. Pricing is very fair. Product feedback as above.

    Interned in 2017!
  • BIG BIG BIG FAN of Glossier!! I love how clean and light the product feels - especially since I have such sensitive skin and barely wear any makeup. Obviously the balm dot coms are a must-have in any purse, but right now I am loving the You perfume as my daily! The clean and simple scent is perfect for my day to day activities. I also love the milky jelly cleanser - really good for sensitive skin and leaves me feeling refreshed!

  • I recently tried Glossier's Skin Foundation and was pleasantly surprised. Its lightweight formula felt incredibly comfortable on my skin, providing a natural look without feeling heavy. As someone with super oily skin, I did notice it became a bit oily throughout the day, but that's a usual experience for me with most foundations. Despite this, I'm really impressed with the range of shades available, ensuring a great match for various skin tones. Definitely recommend giving it a try for its sheer, breathable coverage!

  • i have only tried the boy brow gel but i am in love! since dyeing my kinly natural hair ginger/copper as a dark skin girl, and having gotten microblading done years ago in 2019, i struggled to find a good tinted eyebrow gel that would go well with my makeup but not be over the top. this auburn shade is perfect and has convinced me to dye my brows as the microblading continues to fade. i'll definetly be trying othe glossier products!

  • I've only purchased their balm products and I love how smooth they leave my lips, thinking of buying their lip gloss soon!

  • I love glossier products and you cannot beat the prices. I use several such as boy brow, cloud paint, futuredew etc. love love love

  • As much as I want to fall in love with Glossier it just hadn't happened over the years. Tried their Balm.com, the cream Lidstar(?) shadows, the solid version of their skin scent You, and more recently the cult status Future Dew. The only thing I really liked was Balm.com on my lips. Everything from Glossier is just a wash of color that just isn't my thing, but other people might absolutely love that. I know this sounds ridiculous, but the Future Dew was too dewy, far too dewy for an oily complexion.....but it's great on the declotee. Glossier has incredibly sleek and minimalist packaging which I love, but if I don't love what's in the packaging it's a L for me. Try it, you might really like it.....I think it's for a specific subset of people.

  • I bought the Glossier cloud paint. I like how easy it is to blend and the shades they offer. The reason for the four stars is because I found it a bit too sheer. I also found that it didn’t last throughout a full work day. It is very pretty and will be perfect for the days you want a makeup free makeup day. It is a good option for beginners too.

  • I LOVEEEE Glossier!! I went to their Chicago store and they gave my Grandma flowers for Mother’s Day. I love their Balm Dot Com the old one was better but the new one is also good. I miss cherry flavor!! They also have her a free birthday cake flavored balm dot com!!

  • One of the things I love about Cloud Paint is how buildable it is. You can start with just a tiny dot and blend it out for a subtle hint of color, or layer it on for a more intense flush. The product blends seamlessly into the skin and has a beautiful, dewy finish that adds a healthy glow to the complexion. Another great thing about Cloud Paint is the range of shades available. From soft pinks to deep berries, there's a shade to suit every skin tone and preference. Plus, the product is long-lasting and stays put throughout the day without fading or smudging. The only downside of Cloud Paint is that it can be a bit pricey, especially for the small size of the tube. However, a little bit goes a long way, so the product lasts for quite some time. Overall, I would highly recommend Glossier's Cloud Paint to anyone looking for a natural-looking blush that adds a healthy glow to the complexion. The formula is easy to use, buildable, and long-lasting, and the shade range is impressive. It's definitely worth the investment for anyone looking to upgrade their blush game.

  • Glossier is just so good at packaging and branding!!! I’m a sucker every time ! Their collections are timeless and fun and look so cute on my vanity! I’m especially a fan of their solid perfume and LOVEEEEE the pink makeup bag! It’s super roomy and would purchase again!

  • The glossier perfume is so intoxicating. I’ve been stopped by men and women countless times to ask what scent I was wearing. It’s sweet and musky yet fresh. Definitely great bang for your buck. I also got it as a set with a candle which itself is amazing.

I would love to see more fragrance options, since their original is so amazing. Also, I would be open to them releasing products with more pigment.

  • I love the shopping experience online and the packaging was super fun to open. It is on the more expensive side, but feels worth it. I bought 3 balm dotcom salves (mango, fig, and mint), cloud paint in Puff color, and their mascara. I love the salves they are great on the go and the cloud paint is super pretty and buildable.

    Feedback

I didn't love the mascara. It clumped and dried out quickly. For that price I've had better mascaras from other brands. The only thing I don't love about the salves is the lack of applicator. It could come in handy when applying on the go and don't want to use your fingers.

  • It took me a long time to try Glossier because I was feeling defiant of how popular it was. BUT once I tried it, I became obsessed. I love every single product I've tried from glossier. I want to make a special note that the Glossier You fragrance (I use the spray, not the solid) is amazing. I get complemented SO often on this fragrance. It is a really beautiful subtle skin scent and I really highly recommend it to anyone! I am now a full blown glossier girlie...

I wish there were more retail stores, or in person retail partners.

  • i was gifted several products from my mom, including priming moisturizer, milky jelly cleanser & hand lotion. i was most looking forward to trying priming moisturizer as i am a minimal face routine (i don’t have a 6 step, multiple product nightly routine) & makeup person (bb cream, eye shadow, mascara & lip gloss) so hoping this product would help esp during long dry north east winter. with the pandemic i have hand lotion everywhere! my hands & nails crack & split regularly so add extra hand washing & sanitizer & i’m a mess. the lotion was a good size though does have a strong smell. the jelly cleanser came at a good time as i was just running out of my normal face wash which is as sensitive as possible.

    Feedback

the price on the products is probably more than i would spend on myself esp the priming moisturizer & hand lotion. i had to use quite a bit of the moisturizer so the tube didn’t last long & i only used 2-3x wk. i will go back to my trusty bb cream. hand lotion strong scent thankfully doesn’t last long & it isn’t sticky which i like but it’s a small bottle for the price & the bottle didn’t even feel full. jelly cleanser was definitely my fave. i like the thicker consistency, barely a smell & didn’t leave my skin dry at all. for winter it is great. i haven’t used to remove makeup so i cant attest to that. i have recently read of some disturbing treatment of their workers & this upsets me & given the many different brand options in this space i wouldn’t purchase with my own money

  • I use some of glossier products. I recently picked up a lip pencil I. The color buff. I just love it. It goes on so easily and stays on the lips for a long to,e. This color buff is the perfect nude color to wear with any lipstick

  • I have been wanting to try Glossier’s Balm Dot Com for forever. I wanted to know if the product was actually worth the hype or if the aesthetic packaging was a distraction for a mediocre product. After finally deciding to go ahead and try it out, I bought the Wild Fig Balm Dot Com. And let me tell you, it did NOT disappoint. I love everything about it; the color, the texture, even the smell!! It is definitely one of my new faves and I can’t wait to try out the other Balm Dot Coms!! 🤍
