Blueland impresses in reviews for delivering effective, low‑waste cleaning—dishwasher tablets, foaming hand soap, toilet tabs, and laundry routines often perform as well as conventional options with lighter, pleasant scents and compact, plastic‑free refills—so the brand is good for everyday cleaning. However, reviews flag inconsistent cleaning strength for heavy messes (glass cleaner streaks, dish powder and some sprays underperform), dissolving issues with laundry tabs, and widely reported failures of plastic “forever” bottles, pumps, and sprayers.

I've been using Blueland for years and love all of their products. Especially enjoy the seasonal hand soap refills. I also like the laundry detergent and dryer sheets. Not overly scented like other similar products.

Tablets take a long time to dissolve, bottles broke, and didn't seem to clean that effectively. Interesting concept though.
I wanted to love these product based on the brands mission but overall I was disappointed. The smells of the cleaner IMO are terrible, they’re very fake smelling and the hand soap dries out my hands if I wash my hands consistently as a person does.. The dishwasher detergent made my dishes SO cloudy but we have hard water. I do actually love the glass foaming soap dispensers though.
Big fan of their toilet cleaner - it smells like Pez and works so well! I also love the sustainability and simplicity of this company.
Love the hand soaps. Great when you have kids since the bubbles coat well and are visible. But most importantly they wash off well.

I tried Blueland when they first came out and I thought the novelty of adding a tablet to a bottle of water for cleaning products. I really loved the bottles and how they were color-coded. Within two weeks, I accidentally bumped the bottom of one the bottles and it cracked. The next bottle lasted a few more weeks before I gave up on using the tablets. I loved the hand soap and if I actually thought about it, I would buy it again. I would not buy the kit again. Maybe it's petty, but I was so disappointed with my experience that I won't go back.
We've been using Blueland for 2-3 years now and overall are really happy with the products! I first bought it in an attempt to reduce single-use plastic waste for hand soap and cleaning products and we've largely been really successful at that through Blueland. The cleaning sprays also seem to be really effective at cleaning!
Feedback
The hand soap pumps were a bit finnicky at first and we had to get them replaced, which Blueland was pretty helpful with. I find the white pumps show dirt pretty easily so they can end up looking a little dirty, and I wish they had more attractive containers for the hand soap as those are often in public places like our guest bathroom and kitchen sink. I don't care about aesthetics so much for the cleaning supplies. The cleaning spray bottle pumps also tended to get stuck when you sprayed them but it seems to have gotten better over time.
I enjoyed using Blueland's cleaning products for a few months until one of the bottles randomly cracked (without me dropping it or anything). It was sitting in my kitchen cabinet and when I went to grab it, I noticed the cleaning solution was everywhere. It made a huge mess. I reached out to customer service and they happily replaced it, however the same exact thing happened only after a few weeks of using new bottle. I'm left to believe that the materials are defective. Additionally, the cleaning pods seem to expire if you don't use them right away. I had a few in my cabinet for 2 months and when I added them to water, they never dissolved and instead stayed in a hardened state. They sent me replacements that did the same thing after being stored for a few months.

I'd only recommend if you clean A LOT and can go through the pods fast enough before they go bad.
I love the idea of this, but in trying the hand soap and the laundry tablets, I didn't feel like either product worked very well - they were just ok. I followed the directions for the hand soap and it just feels too watery, like I need to wash my hands more than once with it to actually feel clean (this was especially annoying during covid).
I've been using Blueland in my home for about 2 years. I love that it's a sustainable alternative to regular cleaning products. I've been using the products for so long that I don't even think about it. I haven't had to buy plastic cleaning products or hand soap since I started using them! I've tried: their hand soap (would highly rec), all three cleaners (3/5 stars), the laundry and dishwasher soap (would not recommend) and the dish soap (would recommend).

The only thing I do not love about Blueland is: the laundry and dishwasher soap just did not work for me. The laundry tablets never dissolved in my wash, and left weird crumbly soap so I had to rewash all my laundry. The dish washing tablets did the same thing. The hand soap, dish soap, and cleaning products work great and I've never had an issue with them! I would like to have different scent options for the cleaners, but they work fine.
Blueland were one of the first on the market on the mission to eliminate single-use plastic and I absolutely love the idea. Their cleaning products are more gentle than mass-market alternatives, which is why some find them less effective. I'm very allergic to regular home cleaning products so Blueland has been a great alternative. The only product I don't quite like is dishwashing soap because it is a powder and not convenient to use, I wish they made it as tablets too. Currently bought their sponges and cloths too and they are super nice! I absolutely love branding and packaging and it is so aesthetically pleasing to use.

Love their hand wash tablets, really helps cut down on having to buy additional bottles or giant refill bottles and their seasonal (pine tree) scents are my fave. They also carry them at whole foods now which is convenient.
I love the sustainability and scents of the hand soaps. My only qualm is that the soap dispenser pump broke in less than a month of regular use.
Nice product there are tablets for washing your hands and it foams up which is really nice. It has iris agave and you should use the tablets with warm water. No more throwing away plastic hand soap bottles you just keep using the same bottle over and over again.

I find the Blueland subscription service problematic and stressful. Generally I"ll get an email 2 or 3 days before a shipment asking if I need to delay. I *always* need to delay (not sure where they are getting their use-data), but twice now I have not received the pre-shipping email, and just suddenly have a shipment that I need to store until I need it. The first time it happened, I reached out to Customer Service who basically told me to check my email better. I didn't bother the second time, but I will be cancelling some of my sunscriptions. It should not take this much effort to manage shipments. I'm not impressed with the laundry pellets, but I like the dishwasher and hand soap.
Bought the tabs for all purpose cleaner. So far, I enjoy them as a product. I think it is effective and sustainable as they claim. All packaging is paper and can be recycled.
I have their dishwasher tablets on auto replenish and I love them. No plastic waste or nasty ingredients.
We just reordered the Blueland dishwashing tabs, laundry tabs, and oxi laundry powder and they've been great so far. Minimal packaging and footprint, clean dishes and clothes, and the oxi powder has a really lovely scent. This stuff works, it saves space, and it doesn't cost more than the liquid detergents that I was previously buying.

Love their mission and their cleaning products work great. The shipping is kind of slow but if they are sold at the Container Store!
Blueland has had some changes since the first time I tried them back in 2021 that I did not particularly love. However, the products from them that I still use, are great. The toilet bowl cleaners are amazing, they smell great, work well and will keep those on hand forever. The laundry booster powder in clear skies is SO great! I love the smell and it is amazing how it rids all of my activewear of that dingy old sweat smell. The powdered dish soap and dispenser were 10000/10 but they have recently changed their formula and made it more powdery and I am not a fan. I wrote back to them to provide feedback and I got an email later with them reaching out to do product testing but I have not heard anything new (this was two months ago). The dishwasher detergent pods are great, plastic free and work very well in my machine. For really big loads, I can easily break one in half and give it that little extra boost it may need. The cleaner pods... I do not love them, nor the spray bottles either. The glass cleaner in particular does not work well. The multisurface cleaner is nice, just there are easier ways to make a sustainable multi-purpose cleaner. With the bathroom cleaner, I feel the same way about the multisurface cleaner, it can be done easier without their fancy pod. The foaming hand soap dispenser is nice and have been using them for two years however, I do not love their hand soap so I have been using their pump with different soap and I am much more content. And lastly, the laundry detergent pods, they never dissolved for me. I tried light loads, cold water, hot water, on towels only, and it never worked well. Very bummed as that is one of the places I was really looking to rid my plastic usage. Overall, this brand is great and has a wonderful concept. There are a few things in quality that should be reviewed and I also would appreciate if they sent a little update that they changed their formula. It sounds like they want to hear feedback so there ya have it!
