BIRKENSTOCK earns strong reviews for comfort that improves as the contoured cork footbed molds to the foot and for durability that can span years, with icons like Arizona, Boston, Mayari, and EVA slides praised for everyday wear. Reviews also flag drawbacks: a painful break‑in for many, sizing confusion and wide fit, soles and cork that can crack or wear quickly (especially when wet), occasional odor and chafing in heat, and mixed experiences for flat or very high arches.

Birkenstock is hands down the best when it comes to comfortable, durable footwear! I’ve been wearing their sandals for years, and they never disappoint. The footbed provides incredible support, and even after long days of walking, my feet feel great. What I love most is how well they last—my Birkenstocks look and feel as good as new, even after tons of wear. They offer a wide variety of styles, from classic sandals to more modern designs, making them perfect for everyone in the family. Whether you’re lounging at home or out for a hike, Birkenstocks have you covered. If you’re looking for footwear that combines comfort, quality, and style, Birkenstock is the way to go!
the best shoes ever and they will last you your whole lifetime even with daily wear. invest in these sandals and you won't be upset.
One of my favorite brands of footwear. You cannot go wrong with Birkenstock and I have never been disappointed with the quality. I will recommend to everyone!
I recently purchased a pair of Birkenstocks, and unfortunately, my experience has not been positive. Despite their reputation for comfort, I found them to be super uncomfortable right from the start. The arch support didn’t align well with my foot, leading to soreness after just a short time of wearing them. To make matters worse, they left me with bruises on my feet, which was really disappointing. I had high hopes for these sandals, but they didn't live up to the expectations. I’ll be looking for a different brand that offers both comfort and support without the pain.
Very comfortable, high quality shoe. This was given to me as a gift, but I don’t know if I would have bought them otherwise due to the high price point.
Overpriced and you’re paying for the name. They were just ok with comfort and made farting sounds so I donated the ones I had and won’t buy again.
I have tried the regular Arizona sandals and the trendy Boston style -- even though they're "up there" in price, I have to say, they are dang comfy. That said, I'm not sure if the quality has gone down over the years or I am just being irresponsible, but I have found that I need to fix my Birks (the sole, particularly) more often than back in the days.
I have flat feet and my Birkenstocks have really helped me out. They hurt badly to break in and gave me blisters all over my feet but now that my foot is shaped to them they are my go-to slip on shoe. I love wearing them for errands or to go to workout classes. I am on my second pair and am already plotting future purchases. My pair of sandals are going on 4 years old.
These are my go to shoes for about half of the year. I always have a pair nearby. I am dying for new wedge clogs

it has a long history but its harsh on my feet; and i got high arch. Also expensive!
I own two pairs of Birks- grey shearling Boston clogs for winter and white Arizona sandals for summer and spring. I wear them constantly; they are stylish, so comfortable and last forever. Plus, easy to slip on and off. Great company.

I love and live in birkenstocks. The shoes mold so comfortably to my feet and last for years — the current Arizona's I'm wearing I've had for 5 years now and they're still in great shape, despite regular use and travels with them. They're on the pricey side for sure, but the quality is worth the money to me.
Comfiest sandal type shoe, once you've broken them in, but I found the sole wears out fairly quickly, particularly in any high contact areas of your feet, which for me meant the back outside edges we worn out to an angle and eventually made them uncomfortable to wear. They're also fairly pricey. But otherwise, highly comfortable sandal.
great sandals but has a long wear-in period where they will make your feet bleed
Durable and molds to the wearer's feet. I have owned three pairs in the past, two with the traditional cork footbeds that have held up great and I would repurchase in the future. The only one I'm whatever about are the evas. I like how they are more affordable but it seems like the plastic might not hold up beyond a few years of wear.
A staple in my cupboard for years now. Great, longwear footwear. It lasts a long time, and truly one of the most comfortable shoes ever.
I've always been told these are the most comfortable, best-for-your-feet footwear. But I have narrow feet so they always looked awful on me. After both my children begged for a pair, we went to the shop and all tried them on. We walked away with four pairs! My children do not take them off, any time of the year, they can be seen wearing them. They're incredibly comfortable (though the insole does take getting used to). One note, I am not a fan of the Birks and Socks look, so they only come out in summer or in the house! Otherwise, they're worth the investment.
I have multiple pair of Birkenstocks and where them most every day. They are amazing and worth the cost.
Love but so hard to break in
After you break your Birkenstocks in They’re , the best shoes you’ll ever own
