Banza earns strong reviews as a high‑protein, gluten‑free swap that often tastes and chews close to traditional pasta and even delivers standout frozen pizzas, while many note it can overcook quickly, turn mushy or sticky, and some cuts feel fragile. Reviews of Banza praise the satisfying, protein‑dense pasta, kid‑friendly appeal, and tasty mac & cheese (notably White Cheddar), but flag inconsistent texture across shapes, occasional bitter/chickpea aftertaste, and spaghetti/linguine that clump or stay too firm.

I wanted to love this and just couldn’t get past the taste, won’t be purchasing again.
Was looking forward to the health benefits of this food but not a fan of the taste. My 8yr old would not eat more than a forkful.
Not only is the chickpea pasta amazing, but the pizza is next level delicious. If you’re gluten free or just want more protein in your diet, Banza is the best.
Love this pizza!!! Great to share with family!
Couldn’t even tell it wasn’t normal pasta!
Feedback
The water turns really starchy so you can’t let this sit like normal pasta. Cook, strain, and mix in sauce quickly to make sure it tastes the best. Cook times also tend to be longer than normal pasta.
I've been making the Banza mac & cheese for my kids pretty often. They look forward to it and would love to try the pizza next. Banza is great quality, healthy and not expensive.

From their pasta to their pizza dough, everything is absolutely incredible. With gluten free products, you can expect things to fall apart or have entirely different cooking times. However, Banza nails it. It feels like using regular glutenized products. Highly recommend!

The price is high compared to other brands. But, this is the only thing to consider among so many positives.
This review is primarily for their pasta, because I haven't tried their other offerings (pizza, etc). I ALWAYS have Banza in stock in my house - love the variety of shapes it comes in, as well as the fact that it offers a higher protein alternative to regular pasta. Beyond the macros, I do love the slightly nutty flavor profile that it lends my pastas, though I will say it definitely is something that it better enjoyed fresh vs. reheated as leftovers (in cases where I've had those, the chickpea flavor becomes somewhat overpowering). I would also recommend this more for saucy pastas (tomato or cream based) vs say, something like aglio olio.
Obsessed with the Banza pizzas- they are so crunchy and taste amazing!

When cooking the pasta- i find it taste better if you cook it a minute or two less than what the packaging says!
OMG! This is my go to brand for all gluten free needs! The noodles are chickpea based which provides a good source of protein and iron and fiber. Keeps me full, happy and no unwelcomed symptoms. I absolute love that now instead of having a cheat day and eating gluten crust pizza and feeling regret and ill afterwards, now my family can share a special memory and make a pizza at home with as many toppings as we want!
I enjoy banza pastas, apart from the spaghetti shaped noodles, and I find it really useful when trying to balance my protein and carbs. I've found they are best slightly undercooked (compared to normal pasta) and they need to be rinsed with fresh water after they are strained. The flavor is great and the texture when cooked properly is very similar to standard pasta.
Good gluten free alternative! Good pasta and Mac and cheese!

Wish they made a dairy free pizza crust!
I have only tried the pasta and it tasted okay but made me bloated :( The packaging is great though and the protein content is what keeps me going back.
I have consumed Banza's products and been an ambassador (as a dietitian) for many years. I like all the shapes of pasta and the pizza crusts are innovative. They make a good base for plant-forward, balanced meals.

I wish the chickpeas were organic, there were no plastic in the packaging, there were no xanthan gum, and there were less starch and added fat in the crust.
Such a perfect way to sneak protein in. As a dietitian I give this two thumbs up!
The pre-made pizza crust is one of the best I've ever had - gluten or gluten-free. And the "rice" is amazing. No one in my house is gluten sensitive and we will buy both these products over brands that aren't gluten-free.
Feedback
I've found the products I've tried are easy to warm up/bake/cook. They taste NOTHING like what you expect with gluten-free products.
Banza vegan Mac and cheese is on the bland side. I add lots of paprika and nutritional yeast to it to make it more enjoyable. I only get it for the protein tbh! I didn’t know they had pizza as well, I’d be down to try that in the future.
I love Banza. As a type 2 diabetic, it really allows me to enjoy little bits of pasta without worrying about the loads of carbs I would otherwise be putting in my body. I have enjoyed the chickpea pasta in many forms and will continue to be customer for a long time to come.

I would like to see this become a little more affordable as I often find healthier food tends to be more expensive than the junk we all put in our bodies. I buy mine at Costco in bulk!

I've been eating Banza for years now. It's the best GF pasta out there with an added bonus of more protein. Flavor, texture, and nutrition all on point. 🙌
We eat a lot of Banza because my partner prefers "healthier" pasta over normal pasta, and I can't stand the texture of wheat. I think it's definitely the best "healthy" option out there.

It doesn't hold up well in a baked dish, and I swear it goes from undercooked to well done and skips any potential al dente phase.
