Reviews mention

  • Gentle bristles minimize breakage
  • Painless detangling for tender scalps
  • Versatile wet-and-dry performance
  • Lightweight, ergonomic brush designs
  • Fragile bristles and comb teeth
  • Peeling paint and plastic scuffing
  • Static-prone plastic materials
  • Hard-to-clean lint buildup

Wet Brush earns strong reviews as an effective, gentle detangler that reduces pain and breakage on wet or dry hair, with many loyalists citing the Original Detangler, Paddle Detangling Brush, Shine Enhancer, vented and shower brushes as daily staples. Reviews also flag drawbacks: bristles and comb teeth can break, paint and plastic scuff or shed, some users struggle to clean lint, and performance can falter on very thick, coily, or curly hair and when used with heat.

  • Im on my second or third Wet Brush, I love mine so much! It does minimal damage to my hair compared to other brushes, and detangles fairly quickly. Great product!

  • Wet brush... what can I say? Wet Brush most definitely used to be a holy grail in-shower detangling option for me, especially with my longer curly hair. I now use other detangling methods but a shout out to the OG!

  • They work so well with wet, dry, curly and straight hair.

  • Pretty dang good. Sometimes overpriced, but when I worked at a lice clinic and children with extremely thick hair came in we would always use this brush because it’s easier to smoothly detangle the layer of their hair without pulling!

  • Definitely the best hairbrush for my long, thick hair that gets fairly knotted up quickly, especially at the nape of my neck! It drastically reduced the pain when brushing out the huge knots and somehow gets them out faster than any other brush I’ve ever used! I also find the brush doesn’t break off my hair nearly as much as other brushes as the bristles are thinner and give way a bit easier than other paddle brushes. I recommend this to anyone!! I never thought I’d care so much about my hairbrush brand but I am never going back! I only use Wet Brushes now, and they are so so SO worth it!

  • Utilizing these brushes makes it unecessary to spray detangler - that is how well these brushes work! I love my original so much that I ended up buying the mini to keep in my bag for on-the-go. Really saved my hair from knots and damage after getting out of the shower.

  • I have been using these hairbrushes for nearly a decade now and they are the only hairbrushes I have found that can detangle my hair with minimal pull and frizz. I would definitely recommend them, especially for people with curly or wavy hair!

  • I swear by my Wet Brush. I have thick wavy hair and it always gets my tangles out. The only reason why I didn't give ita 5 star review is because it's difficult for me to clean it.

  • I switched to a Wet Brush several years ago & it has been my favorite brand since! I have long hair, & I have never had a problem with it getting tangled or knotted while brushing when wet. I also love the color options!

  • I've been using Wet Brushes for years, and the product is great for all types of hair. No damage and easy to clean.

  • Super easy to clean and is very effective!!

  • I have knee-length hair, and this brush is the detangling queen, the anti-breakage champion, and lasts longer than any other brush I’ve ever owned. My only issue with them is the fact that they’re made of plastic. Besides being bad for the planet, plastic can generate static, so on days when I don’t need as much serious detangling power I do use a non-plastic brush. Still, as plastic brushes go these last a long time, so I still recommend them and rate them quite highly. And they’re becoming more widely available, which is a real plus.

  • I have a wet brush, and it works for when my hair is wet. However, I have thick hair so it is not very effective when I use it on dry hair. I also don’t think it will be helpful with curly/coily hair because the bristles are so thin. But my sister has thin hair and it works perfect for her with both wet and dry hair. I do love the tea tree oil-infused comb tho, although the teeth broke off when it fell.

  • The Wet Brush is one of my holy grail products. I've tried several different versions of it, and I love that they offer an eco-friendly version that is sustainable. I refuse to use any other type of brush; this one always gets the job done!

  • My tried and true. Been using wet brush for YEARS! It's the only way to go!

  • Wet brush just perfect for my curly hair routines days love how I can wrap it around the brush and get the perfect curls !!! And you can also pick from different colour which is always a plus

  • I love wet brush! My hair always ends up tangled out of the shower and growing up this could be a painful experience. Wet brush makes it easier and more comfortable to get the tangles and knots out. They are a good price and very effective.

  • Back when I had hair, I only used Wet Brush. Now I don't have hair, but wish that I had a reason to own one. 😭

  • I’ve tried a bunch of the different wet brush’s and love them! They truly make brushing your hair so much more easy and they don’t tug as hard either. I’ve seen a significant difference in hair breakage with the Wet Brush too, in comparison to traditional brushes!
