Reviews mention

  • Durable fabrics, everyday wearability
  • Comfortable technical layers, heattech
  • Breathable airism performance textiles
  • Versatile, minimalist wardrobe staples
  • Inconsistent sizing, boxy fits
  • Occasional fabric pilling, fragility
  • Down jackets tear, leak feathers
  • Limited length options for tall

Uniqlo earns largely positive reviews and proves a reliable source for well-made basics that perform—HEATTECH and AIRism consistently keep wearers comfortable, and ultra light down holds up over years of travel. Reviews also flag weaknesses: inconsistent sizing, occasional quality dips (e.g., denim, cashmere, down tearing), and frustrating return policies for online orders, making in‑store try‑ons preferable.

  • Key takeaway: the best staples for core wardrobe needs. You won't find any standout trendy pieces at Uniqlo, and that's the point. It's a cool, quality staple brand that makes an excellent product for the price point. My go-to products are the socks (especially the no-show mens socks, as they stay put better than any brand I've ever worn), the heat-tech core layers for winter, and the tees. I also highly recommend stocking up on the cashmere blend sweaters and turtlenecks when there's a promo, as they look far more expensive than they are.

The denim used to be something I swore by, but I feel like the quality has diminished in recent years and they wear out within months of purchase. I'd love to see a return to the high-quality selvedge that Uniqlo used to offer!

  • Good for basics!! Really like their heat shield material for the snowy cold Canadian winters.

  • One of my favorite brands! Great quality products for an affordable price. The online returns process is a bit of a hassle, takes a while and there is a fee, but if you have a store nearby it's much simpler.

  • Very affordable clothing, yet not disposable. Their tshirts have very cool designs, specially the collaborations. The puff jackets are an essential for traveling, they keep you warm and pack very nicely in the small bag

  • Great quality finds at okay prices. US retail prices are higher than international locations but quality is better than Zara and other fast fashion retailers.

  • I love their crew t-shirts they are essential and great quality. I wear and wash them a lot and have not lost the quality or color

  • I really love Uniqlo. Their items are good quality and have really classic timeless styles. I love that a lot of their products are unisex. The price seems really reasonable too. Pretty much the only place I buy clothes from now!

  • I love the down jackets from Uniqlo! However, with daily wear they do tear easily and leak feathers constantly. Despite this drawback, they remain my go-to everyday jacket.

  • Most of my clothes are from uniqlo. I'm not exaggerating, all of my pants and most of my shirts are. Two of my jackets are as well. Really recommend for basics!

  • Pretty good. Love their collaborations. Not incredible quality but still would recommend.

  • Affordable clothing that is also comfortable and feels like luxury? Yes please.

  • Uniqlo is my favorite place to shop for basics or technical wear. I love their ultra light down jackets and block tech parkas for dealing with weather elements without bulk. They always have an incredible price point and quality items that last years. Uniqlo used to be more fashion forward with lots of designer collaborations, but seem to have shifted more towards basics. I don't live near a Uniqlo store anymore, but the process of shopping online has been seamless.

  • My favorite basics brand. They have such good minimalist design that can be a staple in all outfits and most occasions. They also do great collaborations with pop culture, anime, sports, and the arts. The heat-tech series is great for cold days as well for underlayers.

  • Have great down jackets only complaint is that it cannot be washed in the washing machine

  • My go-to shop for winterwear. This retailer is a life-saver whenever I'm cramming for trips abroad in Q4. The garments are really high quality, lightweight, and value-for-money.

  • My go-to store for all winter essentials. I recently purchased a down coat from Uniqlo and it keeps me warm even in cold Copenhagen trips. I also bought the thermal shirts (ended up going back for another one) to layer up in. Aaaand last but not least, I love all their turtlenecks. They fit great, and sell them in a variety of cuts and colors.

Good quality pieces. Their collaborations with other brands are really great - Marni x Uniqlo Winter 2022 was a personal favorite.

  • Always great bang for buck, I especially love the HEATTECH line.

  • Good quality and range of basics in many beautiful colors.

More size inclusivity would make this brand even better. Also I am not aware of their sustainability practices.
