Summer Fridays earns strong reviews for delivering hydrating, glow-giving staples—especially the viral Lip Butter Balm and Jet Lag Mask—which many say keep lips plush for hours and revive dry, travel-worn skin. Reviews also flag meaningful drawbacks: several users report irritation or breakouts (including reactions to Jet Lag and eye formulas), divisive scents and stickiness in some lip shades, very sheer base products, and packaging gripes, making the brand feel overhyped or not worth it for some.

i purchased their lip balm minis set that recently came out. i love the scent of the shade poppy, it smells exactly like a dreamsicle! i do think it was worth the price, but the lip balms are a bit too sticky for my liking. i use these as lip masks before i sleep and for night outs with my friends when i want a hint of color but nothing too bold.
The Summer Fridays Sheer Skin Tint and Lip Butter are absolute staples for minimal makeup days. The Sheer Skin Tint is as the name states, very sheer, but I find that it gives just enough coverage to even out any redness and slightly blur imperfections. The Lip Butter feels exactly like a liquid lip balm that smells amazing and gives the lip a wash of color.
I love their lip butter balm so much! It's such a quality lip product that actually moisturizes your lips.
I am obsessed with the lip balm!! They've updated the packaging over the past few years so you don't have to squeeze a metal tube and put it on your finger, you can just squeeze the plastic tube across your lips. I would also like to note that this doesn't feel like vaseline (I'm looking at you Glossier with The Balm Dot Calm) and I tend to get the vanilla! A little "pricey" but honestly, I buy like 3 at a time when they're on sale at sephora and leave a few in different bags so I have them for a while. I've tried the jet lag mask and felt it worked in giving some hydration but I guess I didnt love it enough to remember to rebuy it when my tube was done. I also got the cloud dew moisturizer for spot hydration because parts of my face dry out quickly and it sits largely untouched in my medicine cabinet. And I bought a sweat set in 2020 as well! Very cute!
This is the best tinted moisturizer out there, it makes my skin so smooth and hydrated and even. I wanted light coverage and natural looking and that is exactly what it is. I also tried the lip balm and love it!

I cannot justify the pricing of these products. I got a mask pack from Sephora around the holidays. The jet lag mask left my skin looking greasy. It also came with the R+R mask and Overtime mask. The exfoliation of the Overtime mask was okay, but the R+R really dried out my skin.

I can imagine they would ever lower their prices, but that would help.
Love the jet lag mask for traveling but everything else is very expensive (I'm sure it is all great based on my experiences with the mask)

I love that these masks are in a squeeze tube! I think it’s so much more hygienic than a big open tub/container. Besides the genius packaging - the branding is also nice. What about the product itself? Amazing. I love it, use it every week and it’s travel friendly!

Sometimes I forget which Mask is what benefit… would think that can be called out a little more on the packaging.
I have used the Jet Lag and Overtime masks. I liked the Jet Lag mask for overnight usage when I would travel for work and in the winter. It was great at moisturizing my skin, but would leave a thin layer of moisturizer on. Barely noticeable when you get used to it! I like the overtime masks for a face scrub and mask combo, but didn't see any drastic changes in my skin before and after.
I have tried the jet lag mask and lip balm. I have acne prone sensitive combination skin and use the jet lag mask at night with no problems. It’s hydrating but not too heavy on the skin. I have not seen any negative reactions from my skin and my skin stays hydrated. It does not make my skin more oily which is great. The lip balm smells like candy and leaves a lip gloss like finish. It’s thick but not sticky and I have seen improvement on my lips with it versus regular chapstick. I let my sister try the lip balm and she liked it so much she purchased one too. These are a the pricey side which is a con but I can justify a splurge every now and then because I actually like the products.
The Sunday Friday lip balm is my go to for everyday wear. It feels so soft on the lips and smells heavenly. It is on the stickier side than I would like, but lasts a long time and heals my chapped lips.
I have the jet lag mask and lip butter balm and love it so much. I have the mint and brown sugar scent and they smell amazing.
i got the lip butter balm and now see why so many people recommend this product! it was a good purchase and i look forward to trying other products from summer fridays.
I have mixed experiences with Summer Friday products but I overall love the brand and their esthetic. The rose mask which they discontinued was my favorite. It was so beautiful on the skin and really nourished my skin. Their jet lag mask left my face red which was a little alarming because I never reacted to a skincare product like that. I love their lip butter balm in pink sugar, it feels and looks great on my lips.
Definitely a brand that I use and purchase on repeat. The sunscreen is my main and favorite product. Clean ingredients and doesn't leave a white cast or feel heavy. Some reviews complain that the sunscreen has a weird smell, that happened with one bottle I purchased and Sephora replaced it for me. I also love the Jet Lag mask, and the lippies are good, but I don't purchase as a stand alone product, I get them in value sets.

Their lip balm is very hydrating and feels great on the lips.
Summer Fridays has quickly become one of my favorite skincare brands! Their products are so luxurious and effective. The Jet Lag Mask is my go-to for an instant hydration boost, and I love how smooth and glowy my skin feels afterward. The packaging is always sleek and aesthetically pleasing, which just adds to the experience. I really appreciate how Summer Fridays focuses on clean, nourishing ingredients, making it a brand I can trust for my skincare routine!
Okay, I know the Summer Fridays Lip Balm is super viral—but personally, I’m not a fan. It just didn’t live up to the hype for me. The texture and scent were fine, but for the price and the ingredients, I honestly expected more. If you’re looking for something that actually nourishes your lips with clean, real ingredients, I 1000% recommend trying the Primally Pure Lip Oil instead. It’s cheaper, made with beef tallow, and packed with ingredients that are actually good for you. Plus, it gives a beautiful natural sheen without any of the questionable stuff. Total game-changer.
I'm really impressed with the lip balms—they leave my lips feeling soft, hydrated, and visibly smoother. They’ve definitely become a staple in my routine. I also tried the Jet Lag Mask, but it didn’t quite live up to the hype for me. While it was cooling and soothing at first, my skin felt a bit sticky afterwards. I was recently gifted the lip gloss and I’m in love with the shade and the way it makes my lips look—super glossy with just the right amount of color. I only wish the price point was a bit more affordable, as I’d love to repurchase and try more shades!
I received some of their products as a gift. I love the lip butter balm and I will buy it again when I run out. I thought the jet lag mask was very overhyped. I have really dry skin and cicaplast and cetaphil work better and are cheaper.
