Seed earns polarized reviews: many report meaningful improvements in regularity, reduced bloating, and even clearer skin, while a sizable group sees no benefit—or experiences nausea, bloating, or stomach pain, especially when taken on an empty stomach. Reviews also praise Seed’s science-forward education, chic reusable glass jars, and compostable refills, but flag issues like required subscriptions, breakable glass travel vials, and accusations of greenwashing or poor account management.

Eh. I've been taking Seed for two months and I haven't noticed a difference in energy, sleep or stools. For $50/month I was hoping for something I could point at that had improved. I have cancelled my order.

Effectiveness
I quickly bought this after my gut was ruined from antibiotics and was frantically researching prebiotics + probiotics. I can happily say my stomach felt 10x better after taking Seed and it also helps that the packaging is so luxe that I keep it out on my desk as a daily reminder.

Don't love the subscription service.
It's so hard to come across trustworthy supplement brands so I was super excited to come across seed. They're transparent, ethical and their branding is to die for.
Definitely has changed my gut health for the better. I’m a believer! I appreciate that when I’m out of my routine, ie traveling, it helps with bloating and digestive issues. The monthly subscription is always great so I don’t run out and love the refillable glass container and recyclable packaging. Also love the small travel vial it comes with — so smart.

On an empty stomach, these probiotics pack a punch and occasionally make me nauseous even after taking them for 8+ months.
I didn't have a negative experience using Seed, but I just didn't really have any experience. I didn't notice it making me feel better or worse, so I just felt like the subscription wasn't for me. It was an easy process from start to finish, ordering online, getting the order and taking the supplement every day. Definitely worth trying as they do offer lots of discounts. I did really appreciate how eco-friendly everything was - I still use my containers to store stuff to this day. And the whole refill process was really awesome. So I definitely believe in the company, just the product was not for me.
Beautiful packaging and an easy system. The sustainable aspect is also a plus. The formulation was fine, not for everyone. Give 2-3 months to test for your body.
THE best prebiotic / probiotic combo out there. My gut issues have found a bit of relief since starting to take Seed 10 months ago. The initial kit is a 30 day supply of the daily capsules, a reusable glass pill jar, and a travel vial. Each monthly delivery comes in a compostable packet of just the new supply of pills, which I've really appreciated because minimal packaging is important to me!

The price could be knocked down a bit. $49.99 / month is pretty steep for a non-prescription monthly supplement.
Super effective probiotic that always helps my stomach. Great packaging and brand.
I used Seed for a long time, at least over a year if not longer. I wanted to like them because they have sustainable packaging, which is a plus. However, in the end, I think it's just good branding and whatever product. I stopped taking it and didn't see any difference in my digestion or skin.
finally probiotics that taste great yes please! my gut feels awesome; super easy to take and no weird taste at all I'm totally in!
probiotics that actually taste good? Nice supplement that's easy to take and doesn't taste bad, i love it

FIRST PROBIOTIC THAT ACTUALLY WORKS!!! my daughter has abdominal issues and has for years- we have tried everything diet doctors and as a last ditch effort I found seed - originally for me but then noticed the pediatric version. It’s not cheap—- but absolutely worth it. Her stomach hurts way less, bowl movements have improved (she had diarrhea almost daily before). We are only one month in but I swear it kept her and I from getting sick when everyone else in the house got sick. Bonus they send emails with useful tips, info, and they’re eco friendly!!
I've used Seed for four years and love their product. I've tried other probiotics to test how worthwhile they were for the price and nothing has compared. Love that they offer discounts when you're gone for too long, as well!
I love any opportunity to rave about Seed. I’ve tried so many probiotics (and supplements in general) and the DS-01 Daily Synbiotic is the only product that I believe has improved my overall quality of life. It’s about more than regular poops! I’ve been taking it for over a year now and within the first few months, I had begun to notice an improvement in my immune system, energy levels and skin. I have to budget for it but it’s well-worth the investment. Additionally, the Seed community is great and the brand’s content is informative and educational, without being boring. Cannot recommend highly enough.
This probiotic is fantastic. It lives up to its claims. Def more and better poops. Most importantly for me was the affect on my skin. I had a bad skin rash associated with candida overgrowth. After 1 month of seed use my skin condition greatly improved. I'm now a Seed fan!!
After hearing wonderful thinks about Seed, I was extremely excited to try their probiotics. I switched over from another probiotic brand after hearing about the science behind Seed. Unfortunately, I found that this probiotic did not help my digestion/stomach in the same way that other brands have. I'm not sure if it's due to a body chemistry/makeup but I felt more bloated and had more stomach issues while using it. After my first bottle, I switched back to the other brand and started to have less stomach issues.
i think i’ve been taking seed for almost a year now? it’s good for my body and good for my gut. i’ve always been regular, but it gives a little extra push if and when you need it. the capsules are easy to digest and it doesn’t upset my stomach. it comes with w a smaller glass jar for travel. i always keep it in my carry on and fill it as needed for travel. my subscription always arrives on time and it also reminds me to eat because it’s encouraged to take it before your meal. so. i take them, then i eat :)
I’ve tried many probiotic brands over the years (at least 10) and Seed is the first one that has ever made a noticeable difference in how I feel and results I see.
Really happy with these probiotics. I feel like they really made a difference with my gut health

I did not notice much of a difference. They have great marketing though!
