quip earns mixed reviews: it looks refined and travels well, but its brushing performance trails true electric rivals. Reviews praise quip’s sleek, lightweight design, mirror-mounted travel cover, timed 30‑second pulses, and hassle-free refill heads (often with batteries). Many criticize weak vibrations that act more as a timer than a cleaner, bristles that feel too stiff or wear quickly, fragile heads and motors, hard-to-remove parts, and occasional mold or gunk buildup—some dentists urge switching to oscillating or higher-powered brushes.

  • I really liked my Quip brush at first. It's awesome for traveling and it has such a sleek design. Unfortunately, my brush broke twice and I was not able to get in touch with anyone from customer service to replace my last brush, even though I was eligible for their lifetime warranty.

  • I love Quip, but their toothbrush doesn't beat the quality clean of a Sonicare toothbrush... Their Toothpaste, Floss, and Mouthwash are my daily drivers for a good clean. I think the toothbrush is amazing for travel when you want to go the extra mile.

Would prefer a larger brush for a better and deeper clean. The toothbrush vibrates more on the handle than it does on the bristles.

  • Love the sleek and slim design while still having good power and clean

  • I've been using my Quip toothbrush for years. Easy to travel with and pretty. The best part is the regular shipments for new heads - takes the thinking out of it. However, this toothbrush doesn't feel as effective as a Sonicare. The convenience makes it worth it.

  • I initially bought the toothbrush because it looked like it would be a good size for my small hands and mouth, plus I liked the sleek look of it. It is a good size, I do like the built-in timer so you know that you've brushed your teeth long enough, and the cover/mount is a great addition but I think its cleaning power is just average. Changing the brush head is also kind of annoying. I'm debating whether to stick with this toothbrush or switch to another one.

  • Quip Sonic Electric Toothbrush is so sleek can pack such a punch! 🦷✨ Not only does it look super stylish on my bathroom counter with its minimalist design, but it's also seriously effective in giving me that fresh-from-the-dentist clean every day. I love the gentle vibrations that make brushing feel like a mini massage for my gums, while the built-in timer keeps me on track for the full two minutes—no shortcuts here! Plus, knowing that I'm using something that's travel-friendly and eco-conscious just makes each brush session even sweeter. Who knew oral care could be this fun?

  • the timer feature really helps me out a lot making sure i clean my teeth fully and throughly. the design is really cute too.

  • I bought my Quip toothbrush in early April - It is now the middle of August, and I haven't had to change the batteries a single time! This is my go-to travel toothbrush. It's simple, the case actually allows the toothbrush to dry, and the battery life is super convenient. It takes up no more space than a regular toothbrush and cleans much better. That being said, I wouldn't use this as my 'daily' toothbrush. At home, I use something more powerful (that requires frequent charging) which leaves me feeling more clean. But in terms of something light, portable, long-lasting, and affordable, I'm very impressed with this.

  • Sleek, travel-friendly electric toothbrush. My kids love these, and they clean so much better than a standard toothbrush.

  • Dentist told me to stop using it, too abrasive. Broke frequently. Replacement was offered after contacting quip w pictures and description of what was broken.

  • The quip toothbrush is sleek and stylish! I like that dentists design it!

  • Did the job, we bought these for all of us after forgetting a bag while traveling and they worked great!

  • I love the timer aspect of this, it keeps me accountable. The slim design is great as well.

  • I’ve been using my toothbrush for about two years now. I like the subscription to replace the heads, it’s like one less thing I have to think about.

  • I used their refillable floss for a while and it was definitely an upgrade from Oral B — the fibers were much more adept at cleaning gunk out of my teeth, and the container is streamlined and looks great in the bathroom. I think it's a great product to try and I really enjoyed it while I was using it. I've since become a Cocofloss convert, but this is a cheaper alternative that's worth trying for anyone looking to upgrade from Oral B, which really isn't the gold standard for floss.

  • Bought as Christmas stocking gifts, ended up being our new brand for toothbrushes!!!

  • Was not super impressed. I just feel like some toothbrushes make me feel like I'm not fully getting the plaque off my teeth and the bristles of this brush made me feel like that.

  • I think these toothbrushes are worth the price. I like the texture of the heads. The subscription service is nice because I would never remember to order on my own. My toothbrush is a few years old now so I can’t speak for some of the newer “smart” brushes with extra features, but I’m happy overall. Stores and travels well too.

  • Gimmicky. I used my Quip toothbrush for a few years and found it to work fine. I enjoy the look and feel of it but it’s just tough to justify the price when all it does is vibrate with a normal toothbrush head. I switched back to a regular toothbrush last year and hasn’t missed it.
