quip earns mixed reviews: it looks refined and travels well, but its brushing performance trails true electric rivals. Reviews praise quip’s sleek, lightweight design, mirror-mounted travel cover, timed 30‑second pulses, and hassle-free refill heads (often with batteries). Many criticize weak vibrations that act more as a timer than a cleaner, bristles that feel too stiff or wear quickly, fragile heads and motors, hard-to-remove parts, and occasional mold or gunk buildup—some dentists urge switching to oscillating or higher-powered brushes.

  • I found the toothbrush wasn't very good and almost too basic for the price. Definitely took a bit more brushing to feel clean compared to even other non-electric toothbrushes.

  • Long time customer but on the supplemental Products, gum, floss etc Brush is nice but not powerful enough for me

  • This was a great reminder to change your toothbrush head. I wanted a electric tooth brush so I switched but it was a great tooth brush for basics.

  • i dont use the toothbrush/waterpik. my boyfriend uses the waterpik and said that its not as strong, but I use the toothpaste and like it!

  • I like the concept of Quip, but it did not leave my teeth feeling nearly as clean as they do when I use my OralB or Sonicare. The subscription model is feels unnecessary for something so small and easy to acquire.

  • The Good & The Bad ⚡️ Quips refillable floss is a genius product that I keep coming back to. From the amazing luxe feeling packaging and the sturdy floss/pick I truly recommend this to anyone traveling and in general someone who wants to get rid of sing use plastic picks. ⭐️ Their electric toothbrushes are not anything I go crazy in particular.. the vibrations act more as a timer instead of helping clean the teeth better. The designs feels and looks great but I would much rather just use my regular electric toothbrush that I know will get things out.

  • I love the idea of this toothbrush. The battery is kind of difficult to replace and I had to have a whole replacement sent to me when the battery wouldn’t work at all, but having a new toothbrush head sent when needed is very convenient and cost friendly. The customer service is great!

  • Quip has made a notable entry into the oral care market with its line of dental products, which include electric toothbrushes and refillable flosses. The brand has masterfully blended form and function by collaborating with dentists and designers, and this is evident in their sleek and modern product lineup. One of the standout products is Quip's electric toothbrush. The slim design of the toothbrush is not only aesthetically pleasing but also ergonomically practical. It’s travel-friendly and doesn't have the bulk that many electric toothbrushes possess. The brush operates with gentle vibrations and doesn’t rotate like traditional electric brushes. This may initially disappoint those used to a vigorous brushing action, but Quip’s method promotes a gentler, dentist-recommended approach which is kinder to the gums and enamel. The built-in two-minute timer with 30-second pulses is an excellent feature that encourages adequate brushing time. Quip’s subscription model is worth mentioning. The convenience of receiving new brush heads and batteries every three months for a nominal fee ensures that you don’t slack off on replacing your brush head, which is crucial for maintaining oral hygiene. Moving on to the refillable floss, Quip again scores high on design. The dispenser is sleek, and the pre-marked floss encourages the use of the right amount. The floss itself is waxed and does a reasonable job of cleaning between teeth. However, some users might find it slightly thicker compared to other brands, which could be an issue if you have very tight gaps between your teeth. Quip's commitment to sustainability is also commendable. The use of recyclable materials and the refillable nature of the floss system is a step in the right direction in a world that's increasingly conscious about reducing waste. On the downside, Quip products are relatively pricey. Some might argue that the aesthetic appeal and the subscription convenience do not justify the price tag, especially when there are more affordable alternatives in the market. In conclusion, Quip offers a stylish, well-designed suite of oral care products that promote dental hygiene with a touch of sophistication. While the prices are on the higher side, those who value design, convenience, and sustainability might find Quip to be a worthy investment in their oral health.

  • I did not enjoy my quip toothbrush. It looks great and works fine for a travel tooth brush. But I found it’s just not comparable to other electric toothbrushes in terms of cleaning & power. Quips are more of a light vibration which is probably slightly better than a normal non-powered brush.

  • Shouldn't even be called an electric toothbrush as these toothbrushes barely vibrate and the brush heads don't actually move. Also the batteries run out quickly and the payment plan is annoying.

  • I've been using quip for years, I love the sleek look of it. The brush heads are kind of expensive but I like the way it gives you vibrations as a reminder to switch to different sides of your teeth.

  • I’ve been using quip for about two years, and they were one of the first brands I saw take a really distinct step towards eliminating plastic waste. Though their brush heads are not recyclable, all of their packaging is - from envelope to container. The timing (2 minutes, 30 second pulses) gets me to brush longer, and more effectively. The one problem I have with quip is the subscription program. It’s good but very hard to alter, and I’ve had to cancel and restart rather than change my subscription.

  • I purchased the quip toothbrush several years ago. I love the toothbrush and the fact they send me a refill every 3 months so I don't have to remember when to replace my brush head! I have now bought one for 3 of my kids and my mom and step dad. Now that they have kids I will be ordering for my grandkids as well! I have recently bought the water flosser. It also sends me refill heads every 3 months. It has great pressure, 2 settings, easy to charge and take when traveling. I have had a couple issues where it stopped charging or working over the years and they have replaced the entire toothbrush each time.

  • I really tried to like quip because of how cute the brush color options were, and how inexpensive compared to other brushes on the market. But after my third quip replacement I had to call it a loss, as they continued to break. I would replace the battery then for some reason the brush head would refuse to adhere correctly, and would end up falling off as I was brushing. I thought the first one was a manufacturing error and bought another one but no, same thing for that and the third one. Very cute color options though, and worked decently until I had to replace the battery.

  • For the price you can go get a nicer electric toothbrush that’ll do the same things and clean your teeth much butter but quip is sleek and nice looking so I’ll give them that

  • I love the look and feel of these, but it’s essentially a pretty manual toothbrush with a timer. It’s great if you go in knowing that, but it for sure isn’t an electric toothbrush.

  • I have the quip refillable flosser and wanted so badly to love it, since everyone loves a flosser but not so much all the single use plastic. However, while the refilling is super easy and the case is convenient with the little mirror, my flosser is constantly getting rusty, which is concerning for something that is supposed to go in my mouth and has led me to not using it really.

  • I have used quip for at least 3-4 years now and I love it! They have a subscription to get a new toothbrush head and battery every 3 months which has kept me super consistent with switching it out. You can also get floss and toothpaste with it as well. I just found out that their toothpaste scored a 2 on EWG which is a great score for low tox products. The only issue I had was that my toothbrush would start going off randomly and often so I had to take the battery out. I used it as a normal toothbrush for a long time. I reached out to customer service about it and there was a lengthy review process where I’d have to submit multiple pictures of the tooth brush to make sure it wasn’t damaged. Wasn’t a great process and I just ended up buying a new tooth brush. Took a star off for that, but otherwise I love my quip!

  • I’d say this brand is good but not great. I keep using it because it’s convenient and I like how compact the toothbrush is (so easy for traveling). I wish some things were better, but they’re all minor things. Like the battery sometimes dies before my replacement head comes and they switched to a shipping method without tracking. Not dealbreakers by any means! I do feel like I get a good clean and I like the timer.

  • I have the rose gold toothbrush and it’s so cute, I love it! I’m terrible at telling time, so it’s helpful that the brush tells me when it’s time to switch areas and when the dentists’ suggested 2 minutes has been accomplished. I unsubscribed to the subscription, but it’s nice that if I forget to order a replacement brush head online, I can also stop by Target to pick one up.
