Reviews mention

  • Vibrant, flavorful profiles
  • Crisp, refreshing carbonation
  • Appealing, playful packaging
  • Versatile, mocktail-friendly drink
  • Noticeable stevia aftertaste
  • Inconsistent flavor execution
  • Occasionally low carbonation
  • Polarizing cola and root beer

Poppi earns largely positive reviews as a satisfying soda alternative that tastes close to the real thing—standouts include Raspberry Rose, Strawberry Lemon, Orange, Ginger Lime, Doc Pop, Classic Cola, and Cherry Limeade—while many praise the light, crisp fizz and perceived gut-friendly prebiotic/ACV benefits. Reviews also flag weaknesses: a noticeable stevia or “diet” aftertaste in some flavors, variability by flavor (cola/root beer polarizing), occasional flatness or low carbonation, and that several drinkers don’t feel meaningful gut effects.

  • One of my favorite beverage brands! I like that it doesn't taste too syrupy, and it's very aromatic and refreshing. Strawberry lemon is my favorite, but I also love raspberry rose and (I believe I've had it once) orange. I don't drink it for the health benefits, so I haven't paid attention to whether it affects my gut or not.

While I personally don't notice the ACV taste, some people I've shown it to do. The ones mentioned above don't taste of ACV to me, but I wasn't so much a fan of ginger lime.

  • I've tried other prebiotic soda-replacements and this definitely tastes better than those. I tried the Ginger Lime flavor, and it's still very obviously flavored with Stevia but the ginger flavor is stronger than I'd expect with something like this. The packaging is very cute too.

  • I'm a sucker for these prebiotic sodas! Better still–and I can't say this for every seltzer–I genuinely love every flavor. I'm unsure if I've noticed any glaring gut improvements, but I have a sensitive stomach and it definitely doesn't irritate it. Love that it's slightly sweeter and tangier than a Spindrift or LaCroix.

Pricing is still very high for canned soda, but I've noticed that Whole Foods and Target run deals quite frequently––that's usually when I stock up.

  • I generally hate soda replacements because I can immediately taste the stevia or whatever sugar substitute they use, but Poppi is different. They have a great variety of flavors, and they're not *so* healthy that they taste terrible or *so* unhealthy that you might as well just drink a coke. Perfect happy medium.

Too expensive per-can, at least when you buy them from a grocery store (like, $2.50-3 is crazy). Not sure if this is true but the colorful plastic wrapper they put around the aluminum can itself feels like it's not recycleable so I always feel guilty when I put it in my recycling bin.

  • A little too sweet for my taste. I appreciate the prebiotic components, but there are alternative "healthy sodas" that I much prefer. Why add 3+ forms of sugar and all those stabilizers?

    Feedback

too many additives: stevia, tartaric acid, natural flavors (which we know are not natural), agave inulin, AND sugar.

  • Poppi is delicious! I love sparkling water and appreciate that they include probiotics and very little sugar. Raspberry Rose and Strawberry Lemonade were my favorites.

  • Love the strawberry lemonade flavor, and love that there's very little added sugar.

  • Super fun flavors and graphics, taste great especially when you see the very low sugar content. A fun, non-fermented alternative to kombucha

I find the formulas in some of the flavors to be a bit too sweet

  • The packaging is cute but the flavor was less exciting. I wish it was either, lighter in flavor or a bit more tart. Something is missing for me. I wouldn’t turn one down if offered but I wouldn’t buy it again.

  • love the flavors of Poppi and really doesn't make you feel crappy after like most carbonated drinks.

  • I love how Poppi makes me feel when I drink it! I love their playful branding and the taste is way better than other similar drinks.

    Nothing!

  • Absolutely delicious! Super refreshing and fruity without any artificial aftertaste!

  • I love Poppi! One of the best soda alternatives I've had. I used to be a big soda drinker and the Classic Cola and Doc Pop really do satisfy that craving. Plus, it makes me feel a lot better since it's low cal, low sugar, and has prebiotics! I haven't tried many of the fruity flavors, but Raspberry Rose and Strawberry Lemon were not bad.

Can't think of anything that I'd change!

  • Love the strawberry lemon flavor. So good!

  • Could you make this at home? Technically yes. It’s just flavor, apple cider vinegar, and carbonated water. But, is this a convenient and tasty way to have a bubbly beverage that won’t jeopardize your health? Also yes 👍

  • My favorite soda alternative! My go-to flavors are the cola (it's the closest I have found to regular cola taste, and with a squeeze of fresh lemon is delicious), strawberry lemon and raspberry rose. The Poppi cans are just sweet enough to differentiate from flavored seltzers, which can become tiring to drink repeatedly. I love how these spice up my drink routine without compromising on my health.

  • These are very enjoyable. I found these on a whim and the packaging is what brought me in. These do not have that powdery feeling like many “healthy” sodas have. Flavors are also pretty spot on too.

  • It’s better than I thought it would and a good alternative to sugar heavy drinks.
