ŌURA earns praise in reviews for accurate, habit-shaping sleep and recovery insights, discreet design, and useful features like cycle tracking, body temperature trends, and new stress metrics—so yes, it works for sleep-focused wellness. However, reviewers report weaknesses including subscription paywalls, inconsistent fitness tracking and HR accuracy, scratching and bulk for grip sports, and battery degradation with mixed customer support.

i’ve had my oura ring since october of last year. i originally purchased it due to the integration it has with the natural cycles app. but after having it and using it. it’s been used for so much more than that. i really enjoy the sleep tracking aspect of it. as well as the readiness tab. it’s fun to earn crowns for the day if you get optimal scores, but it’s also nice to see how and why you get the scores you do. i recently got an apple watch and i’ve also been enjoying THAT integration bcz i really don’t like sleeping with my watch on…but i never take the oura ring off. i only take it off to charge that one time every 1.5 weeks or so. it’s a super forgiving product. it goes with everything i wear. and when i see people in the streets with it on, we share a giddy, childlike enthusiasm for it. we geek out together and rave about how much we love it!

I've had the oura ring 2 and now 3rd generation. Overall the ring is super light, durable, and the app easy to use. Being able to see how alcohol, food, and other elements affect my sleep patterns has been immensely helpful.

The interface for workout imports from health and other fitness apps doesn't sync right away sometimes. Other than that it's pretty flawless.
I bought a Gen 2 oura ring and replaced my wedding band with it. It was particularly nice during Covid that I could track my temperature and see if it was elevating- and stayed home on those days if I felt unwell or had been in public days before. I never had Covid, but this ring gave me peace of mind that I’d be able to catch it earlier due to temp tracking (which I also use to detect ovulation). Within 5 months it lost battery power and wouldn’t hold a charge for more than a day. I reached out for warranty help. At the time they had just launched the Gen 3 ring, so it took weeks to get a response, but they did replace it. So far no issues with the new ring. I love all of the stats and data on the Gen 3 ring, though there have been a few instances when I’ve been awake but still (like reading or just listening to music) where it mistakenly said I was sleeping or napping.

I wish the temperature readings were actual readings instead of a + or - delta. I wish they made a size 5 ring. Currently, size 6 is the smallest. Also, it seems that customer service is finally getting caught up on their backlog - for awhile there was no communication, but they’ve since hired more people.
I had Oura 2 and I was delighted, now I was forced to replace it with Oura 3. Overall I really like it, but I get four stars for how the brand communicated to users the introduction of the subscription model. In addition, I am waiting for the app enhancements promised in the Oura 3 version. If this opinion was about Oura 2, I would give 5 stars, for Oura 3 I can give 4 for now after changes in the application, however, this rating may decrease to 3 or increase to 5. After the changes and the introduction of the subscription model, expectations towards the brand are very high, and time will show whether the brand will be able to fulfil them.
I love the concept and the ring itself, I just wish they made it in smaller sizes!

The Oura ring is an excellent health tracker that stays out of your way and has fantastic battery life. However, the app-based experience means you need to check the app daily to get the full experience. I've been pleased by the updates made to the app in recent iterations, but I feel like it's not quite as helpful as WHOOP or Apple Watch yet.

I’ve used my Oura ring every day for over three years now. Comfortable to wear. Holds a decent charge. And provides valuable feedback that doesn’t make me feel too fixated on an end goal and I can live my life while making small tweaks to my lifestyle. I really love seeing my body temperature change throughout the weeks

I think the Oura ring is a cool purchase, and I generally think it's a valuable product. I will say that I think it's best for people who are on the high end of the fitness/wellness/self-care spectrum - I'm not quite so high on that spectrum, so I don't pay quite as much attention to the metrics on a regular basis and don't actively try to analyze them. But friends who do care more about all of that absolutely love Oura and are obsessed with checking their metrics multiple times a day. Because I'm not quite as obsessed, I don't love paying the monthly subscription fee - but I still do anyway. Style-wise, the ring fits well alongside other jewelry (gold, for me). It has gotten a bit scratched from everyday wear, but nothing outside of what you'd expect for jewelry; I'll probably replace with a new one in a year or two.
I ended up returning my ring. For the price, I didn't feel like it was quite worth it. The ring was bulky and big on my finger and was easily scratched from daily use. I felt like the information provided was helpful but not enough to have a big impact on my day-to-day life. Additionally, I hate that there's a subscription fee for the app! With the high price for the ring, the app should be free in my opinion. Overall experience was 3/5 - thankfully they had a very easy return process where I was able to try the ring out for a bit and they had no questions when I decided a few weeks later it wasn't for me.

I purchased this ring to pair with my natural cycles app and I will say, it was a game changer. If you are using Natural cycles, being able to skip the morning thermometer made the process so much easier! There were a few times when it didn't work correctly but no major issues overall.
All my friends rave about Oura so much I thought I might try it (tbh, was initially a bit concerned about the bulkiness of the ring and if I'd even want to wear it for long periods of time). Ever since I bought it, I've been much more on top of sleep schedule and am cognizant of what might negatively influence my quality of sleep
Interesting the tech and the ring, less the "actionability" of the data.

Health is the next wealth. Improving sleep data & awareness is awesome, but despite this, it's pretty hard to use the app to improve yourself. I'd love to have more of a "path" to follow to understand better actions and consequences on my sleep habits.
I never wanted a fitness tracker because I did not want to stop wearing my watch (and i'm not a double watch person!). So Oura was the perfect solution and it made me think twice when drinking or staying up late because I'd see the results in my increased heart rate. Definitely pushed me to be healthier.

They could add some more stats on the fitness side. Shipping to the UK took a long time!
I've had an Oura ring for about 1.5 years now. I was the typical Apple Watch-obsessed girl looking for a less bulky option. Overall, I like it. Am I obsessed?? No. But I also think that's a good thing. I was addicted to my Apple Watch (it dictated my life frl) so I'm happy that this allows me to track my wellness/fitness more healthily. What I do love about it is the holistic approach it takes. For example, after a night out, it's crazy to see how alcohol affects your sleep, heart rate, and overall readiness. When I'm sick, it's interesting to see what exactly about my health is declining (i.e. temperature, sleep, etc). And I loveeee the sleep tracking. It made me realize I go to bed way too late. It's habits like this that the Oura ring brings your attention to. My only complaint is the software. I wish when you wake up every morning, your sleep, readiness, and activity scores from the previous days pop up in a notification on your phone. Currently, you have to go on the app, wait for it to load (which lowkey takes awhile?), and then you can check your data. Since I'm not obsessed, I sometimes forget to go on the app and then none of my data uploads for that day and it's blank. Overall, this is a nice to have, not a need to have. But if you are someone embarking on a health journey and want to make better life choices, I would 10/10 recommend!

I didn't really understand why somedays I wake up feeling like I never slept but this has helped with so much insight into my sleep patterns. The days when I don't feel my best, it's very informative to go back and look at the data so I can make adjustments accordingly . I love that it's helping keep track of and in tune with my health but hate that it drains my phone battery so much.
what an amazing brand!!! i wear my third generation ring everyday and it gives me the perfect insight on my sleep. i love how kind the customer support staff was and how worth it the product feels. and my ring goes perfect with every outfit!!
I think the Oura ring is a really cool idea and is very helpful to track sleep, but most of the other features can be tracked just as well with a smart watch. I hope in the future they add features that help guide you to improve your scores and health, such as how to improve your HRV and other data points the ring suggests are mediocre or below average.

If the ring was more affordable, I’d suggest it to more friends. The price point is pretty steep.
I love my OURA ring. I rely on it everyday to show me my sleep quality and activity scores. It is so nice to see my health journey manifest in a visible, measurable format. Also, everyone compliments me on the look of the ring without knowing everything that it can do.

Honestly loved the Oura, but the rings kept dying on me or having battery issues. Since the US warranty is half of what europe's is, I wasn't able to get a new ring this last time it died. I just decided to give it up and not buy the newest version, which on Reddit has some pretty bad reviews related to the battery. So long, Oura.
