  • It's really nice and does what it says to do, but may not be worth it if you're not massively into tracking your fitness

  • Love my Oura ring. However I bought pre-subscription and don't think I would pay it since the ring alone is pricey. If you have the money I would defo recommend.

  • I've been using the oura ring for about two months now and like many of its features. It tracks sleep and activity as well as period (based on time and temperature). I find the most useful stats to be those built over weeks rather than daily where you can notice sleep and activity patterns and their interaction. With that said, for how expensive it is I wish there was more data tracked as its similar to a fitbit or apple watch. I also wish that the more complex data could be viewed on the phone instead of on the computer.

Better data and insights, more mobile insights.

  • I have been wearing my Oura ring for the last 4 months and I can't imagine living with out it ever again.

Lately, I feel like the battery life isn't as great and find myself constantly charging it.

  • I love my Oura ring. I love the personalized health info that I receive daily. I love the look of the ring and receive many compliments on it. My sleep has improved since using the ring. Makes me more mindful of the hours of sleep I get each night. I highly recommend the Oura Ring!

  • I was dubious at first to sleep with this kind of technology but I used it to learn about what helped me sleep and what hindered my sleep. I was stoked with the data and often surprised by it. I loved that i could wake up having had a bad night of sleep then make up for it by going back to sleep!

Sizing is hard. And because it helped me lose weight it fell off while I was fishing and sunk to the bottom of the sea. So a size change program would be great.

  • As someone who suffers from insomnia, I was looking to get some details on exactly why...and well Oura did the trick. Granular detail on the type of sleep you have throughout the night (e.g. % of REM, deep and light sleep) and also tracks movement. It's a comfortable ring that you can wear at night without noticing.

It's a shame that you can't check your temperature or your heart rate instantly. Looks like it only shows retrospectively and during sleep vs when you want to see it on demand.

  • There is absolutely no human beings available for customer service. The chatbot is automated. There is absolutely no phone support—at all. Email is their only form of customer service number. What kind of company can sell on, average, $400 rings and $6 monthly subscriptions but can’t pay employees to answer phones? I wish I never ordered this thing.

  • Oura is a great alternative to smart watches since it looks nice and can fit with any style. The tracking is great and super helpful for sleep. I have always felt aligned with the scores I get and I like the additional info that gets unlocked. My main issue with this is the cost for value of the product. The rings are super expensive and then you still have to pay a monthly fee for your own data. Plus, I like to wear mine when I work out and there are signs of wear on the ring after less than a year

  • I purchased my ring a few months ago and have really enjoyed the experience so far. The interface is great and I find the sleep tracking incredibly helpful. As someone who occasionally does shift work, it’s interesting to see how it affects both my sleep and my readiness for the day. I wish the activity tracking was easier to use, but it doesn’t take away from the experience. Definitely a great tool to have in my health “toolkit.”

  • I am very disappointed in my oura ring 3. It does not allow you to track oxygen levels thru the the night. All it will do is tell you the average oxygen level for the night which is basically worthless for me. Additionally there are so many gaps in the pulse rate graph that it is also basically worthless for me. Additionally there appears to be no support phone or email to contact about issues. I want my money back!!!!

  • Had my Oura ring now for 18 months. Feb of 2024 it started to act weird, showing that I walked 6.8 miles when in fact it was about 2 miles. Then it kept showing that my steps per day were higher than actual as compared to a treadmill or Google watch. I called the company, they have you reset the ring and then literally put on the charger and slam it down on a solid surface!! REALLY?? So I did all that they recommended and still nothing. They finally said they would send this issue up to the next level so they could give me a solution....THATS BEEN 4 MONTHS NOW!! I email every month and get the same canned response...sorry for your issue we are working on a solution. I asked for a replacement and they said the ring can be fixed so they won't replace?? BUT they still have not come up with a solution... In the meantime I am walking 15000 steps which really is about 9000.... Ring sounded like a great monitor BUT this ring is not worth a penny if it can't do what is advertised!

  • Lemon Oura Ring: Cautionary Tale & Buyer Beware My experience with the Oura Ring has been marred by a series of issues that have left me thoroughly dissatisfied. Two weeks after my initial purchase, I encountered problems with the battery life, which was consistently lasting only 30-36 hours despite the advertised claim of 7 days. Concerned about the discrepancy, I promptly requested a replacement. To my dismay, I was told that the battery was functioning within acceptable parameters and that the variation in battery life depended on individual usage patterns and the selected modes. It's worth noting that I was only using the ring for sleep tracking at that time. In every correspondence, I explicitly noted my request for a replacement. Despite this early red flag, I continued to face persistent challenges with battery life and then my saga with the Oura Ring took a turn for the worse. In July 2023, my ring began randomly failing to track my sleep. This prompted a series of interactions with customer support that only added to my mounting frustration. In September 2023, I was finally informed that the sleep tracking issue was a "known issue" and that the company was actively working on a resolution. However, it wasn't until January 4, 2024, that I received an email claiming the problem had been resolved and instructing me to update my ring. Unfortunately, the latest update proved ineffective, and the situation escalated. Customer support guided me through a series of steps, including taking screenshots, in an attempt to troubleshoot. Regrettably, these efforts rendered my ring completely non-functional, and the ring now refuses to connect to the Oura app. Astoundingly, despite the ongoing and unresolved issues, the company maintained that my Oura Ring was now out of warranty. Today their proposed solution remained a meager $75 off a new purchase, a response that does little to address the persistent problems and the impact on my overall experience. They refuse to acknowledge that the problem starting in July has not been resolved, and that I requested a replacement every step of the way. This extended ordeal with the Oura Ring has left me not only with a malfunctioning device but also with a sense of disappointment in the company's ability to deliver reliable products and satisfactory customer support. Potential customers should approach the Oura Ring with caution, considering alternative options with a more proven track record and responsive support. A strong buyer beware is warranted. If you do decide to purchase the Oura Ring, and encounter issues early on, it's imperative to insist on a replacement. My experience revealed that the company may run you in circles, offering resistance and delaying tactics until the warranty period expires. It's essential to advocate for your rights as a consumer and seek a resolution promptly to avoid prolonged frustrations and potential lapses in warranty coverage.

  • Their app gets it wrong fairly often, and the Support Team invariably writes back without responding to what I've written in about. Usually takes me 3 times to ask that they actually read what I wrote in about. Wish I'd purchased the new ring (another brand with what looks like has some additional features Oura doesn't have plus they don't charge any monthly subscription.

  • I just received this three days ago and I AM OBSESSED. I can't imagine being without it! I love the prompts and the integrations with existing apps such as Natural Cycles and Zero. Syncs seamlessly with my Apple Watch also :))

  • On March 7, I received the ring. On May 29th it stopped working. Today is June 12 already & there is no clear timeline on when the ring will be replaced/fixed, as they need to do investigation. Unacceptable.

  • This ring sounds like a great idea but in fact is not worth the money for how little it does and for the following reasons: 1) Oura is wildly inaccurate, took ring off for weight training bc didn’t want to scratch it, but had my chest HR monitor on. Put Oura back on during CD & stretching, my chest monitor HR was 95bpm & Oura had me at 48bpm??!! I literally started laughing. After several times making it read my HR it got closer but was always reading 10-15bmp lower than chest HR monitor. 2) when starting a HR activity Oura only gives you 5 choices to chose from in/out run, in/out bike or walk. No other choices of activities as if these are the only things people do. 3) when comparing Oura data to that of my garmin when riding bike again I was consistently 15-20bpm lower on Oura, hence my comment wildly inaccurate. 4) it appears oura only takes HR data every 5-10 min as when you review your data oura only gives you a time and a range (ie 0800-0830 HR 95-130) not an exact HR for a give effort. 5) i mapped Strava to oura to capture my activities as oura was extremely limited in what it offers. The Strava data would over ride what oura had recorded which made me realize, why not just keep using strava, more options and more accurate and way less expensive. 6) oura comes with a free one month membership but I wanted to see what I would get after the membership expired so I did not pay for monthly service. If I thought oura had poor performance when membership was activate it was unbelievable horrible if you don’t pay the 7/month membership fee. It literally only gives you 3 numbers for sleep, readiness & activity after paying $600 for ring. You can not look at any efforts, how long you slept or any of the free features that Fitbit offers. After spending $600 (w/ extended warranty as I tend to break things by using them) I am completely unsatisfied and disappointed, purchase was a complete waste of money. Buy a $100 Fitbit, works way better & you get more bang for the buck.

  • Love my Oura ring! Have had it for ~11 months. Easy to get started, they send a sizing kit so you can determine the best ring size for you (they are large & thick due to the technology, so really wear it for 24 hrs)

The app gives very useful info about sleeping habits and activity. You can choose your goal. App reminds you to get up and moving to decrease your "inactive(sitting)" time. Lots of insights about things that affect sleep, energy etc. to evaluate and learn about. I look at my "stats" daily. They recently added a body chronotype reading that is proving very useful for judging the best timing for sleep to improve my energy and restfulness. After the first 6 months the app is $5.99/mo, which I hate, but I don't think I can let it go.

  • Buyer beware. I've had an Oura ring for a few years. Now with the Gen 3 ring for about a year. It is a great concept but very disappointing in the actual implementation. I've got the largest size with the largest battery but within a year the battery will only hold a charge for less than 3 days when it initially lasted for 6. And this is with some of the capabilities turned off to conserve battery use. It is very good at recording your sleep/health data, but I would rate it as a poor fitness tracker. I've worn one of these 24 hours a day for 3 years, but now I will leave it on the charger and just wear it during the night. Nothing this small will ever have enough battery power to be any good. Not recommended.

You may like it to begin with but in time you will be sorry you spent the money.
