ŌURA
Experience
I bought a Gen 2 oura ring and replaced my wedding band with it. It was particularly nice during Covid that I could track my temperature and see if it was elevating- and stayed home on those days if I felt unwell or had been in public days before. I never had Covid, but this ring gave me peace of mind that I’d be able to catch it earlier due to temp tracking (which I also use to detect ovulation). Within 5 months it lost battery power and wouldn’t hold a charge for more than a day. I reached out for warranty help. At the time they had just launched the Gen 3 ring, so it took weeks to get a response, but they did replace it. So far no issues with the new ring. I love all of the stats and data on the Gen 3 ring, though there have been a few instances when I’ve been awake but still (like reading or just listening to music) where it mistakenly said I was sleeping or napping.
Feedback
I wish the temperature readings were actual readings instead of a + or - delta. I wish they made a size 5 ring. Currently, size 6 is the smallest. Also, it seems that customer service is finally getting caught up on their backlog - for awhile there was no communication, but they’ve since hired more people.
Care/of
Experience
I tried care/of and felt like it wasn’t as customized to me as they were trying to make me believe. I took the vitamins for a month but felt sick, which can be a side effect to one of the supplements in my pack which I found out after discussing with a doctor friend. I didn’t continue my subscription but had another one arrive. I tried to return it, but no luck. I’m back to managing my own blend of supplements and generally feel better about it than I did with Care/of
Feedback
Make subscriptions easier to manage, and notify before the first refill is sent.
Public Goods
Experience
I am an early adopter and bought into their lifetime membership. Some of the products are great, others just okay. I don’t think there’s anything we hated. We’ve use the deodorant (great smell, but didn’t work), the period Care (works great, but lots of packaging), some of the food products (the ramen was good), body lotions (like!), face lotion (meh), and body wash (my favorite). We’ve also purchased some of their natural body scrubbers which work well. Overall would recommend if you can find enough products to justify filling a box.

I bought ~40 mariposa chairs for a restaurant - they’re gorgeous and sturdy. The ability to customize is pretty nice as well. The engineering and design are really something special. They ship flat packed in recyclable cardboard, and you get a high quality tool to assemble them with. This company has their stuff together!
Cora
Experience
Bought their reusable disc, and it’s amazing. Using a disc has reduced my cramps substantially. Fits well and easy to use, though messier than tampons. If that’s a problem for you, don’t buy this product. I’ve used their tampons as well, which are nice, but there’s a lot of packaging. I also bought a pair of their period underwear and I love it! Planning to buy more this year.

I got the storage case with mine and it’s great for keeping it clean for the following month’s use, though I wish it were made out of sustainable materials instead of “vegan leather” which is polyurethane. Removing 1 dot for unsustainable packaging of most of their products and use of “vegan leather”.
Pluto
Experience
Bought the hype and got myself a Pluto pillow pre-pandemic. I'm super picky about my pillow and thought Pluto would be it, but I felt like it was just another foam pillow. It's since been given to my husband to try/use. He liked it enough not to toss it. I guess I'm just not a fan of foam - but if you are, it might be GREAT for you! I know they have a sleep guarantee for returns, but I didn't get my act together to return it in time.
Feedback
There's nothing they improve based on the foam materials... the foam core is too springy and gives me a sore neck by morning.
Warby Parker
Experience
I've purchased a few times from WP, both pre-lasik and post (blue light glasses and sunnies). The frames are cool, but the lenses aren't great.
Feedback
If you have a strong prescription like I had, I don't recommend purchasing from them. I always had problems with they way the lenses distorted things.
Supergoop!
Experience
I have the Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen and it's pretty great. It's the first sunscreen that got me to wear it daily. It's perfect under makeup or without makeup at all. It's expensive, but I still use it on my 7 year old daughter's face in the summer because she hates normal sunscreen and this neither smells like or feels like normal sunscreen.
Feedback
It's a small size and it's expensive, but I'm willing to pay for a quality product. I REALLY wish it wasn't in a plastic bottle with a plastic cap - especially in such a small container size.
Oatly
Experience
The ONLY brand of oat milk you should drink. I'm lactose intolerant and can't tolerate cow milk as of about 6 years ago, so I went down the alternative milk path for my daily tea. Almond, soy, coconut - nothing was better than milk in my tea... until Oatly. There are plenty of other brands of oat milk out there, but I assure you I've tasted nearly all of them - and none compare to the magic of Oatly. I far prefer Oatly over milk now in my tea and have tried their other products like Oatly ice cream, which is also delicious.
Feedback
The only thing that is a bummer about Oatly is that it isn't in *every* grocery store. We always keep a backup carton in the house so we don't run out. (:
Day Owl
Experience
I bought a light pink backpack pre-pandemic (not sure when, though!). I use it every day as a purse and laptop bag combo. I like how much I can fit into it while it's still a pretty small bag. I find the little pocket on the top to be super useful for keys I access regularly and my ear buds. The insulated side zip pocked has been useful for water or a small can of soda (don't judge me!) I want to keep cool until lunch.
Feedback
I like the bag a lot - so this is nitpicky stuff. The laptop section is *lightly* padded. I'm not actually sure it would keep my laptop intact if I dropped it or it fell off a chair, but thankfully that hasn't happened. I wish for two things: 1. that I could machine wash it (the light pink color is holding up well for as much as I use it but now that covid is a thing I just wish I could wash it once a season), and 2. that is was 1" taller overall so that my laptop wasn't so tightly packed into the bag when it's full, but other than that it's a great basic daily backpack that fits a lot of stuff.
