On Running earns polarized reviews: many say the shoes are comfortable, lightweight, and cushioned enough for walking, everyday wear, and even long races, while others report inconsistent support for running, half‑size‑small fits, and durability issues like heel and mesh tearing. Reviews praise styles like Cloud 5, Cloudmonster, Cloudrunner, and The Roger for sleek looks and versatile comfort, but flag pebble‑catching soles, flimsy or fussy laces, traction concerns on wet metal, and widely criticized customer service.

Super comfy, great for running

My cloud 5 is the best most comfortable shoe. My entire family has them and we travel everywhere with them. The laces that don’t need tying are crazy good.

The only shoes I can wear all day while I’m on my feet. They’re stylish supportive and comfortable.
Absolutely love these shoes. Started off with the sneakers for walking the dog then got the trail shoes for hiking and they are very comfortable.
Gimme some Hokas over On, any day. Stuff gets stuck in the holes, the fabric inside wore more quickly than any pair of sneakers I ever owned (less than a year of light use). Not great support and the traction sucks - I found myself slipping down the street on anything metal — a few near misses on wipeouts. Happy to throw them away. Not worth the hype or the money.

Great quality shoes and apparel. My family's go-to running shoe brand. I like the quality and fit of their t-shirts too.
I want to put 5 stars because I love my On Cloud shoes but I have to mark them down because they do not last very long. That said I have purchased two pairs already and will look to purchase a third if I can find them at a discount. They are SO comfortable to run or walk in. I stand on my feet all day at work and put in road/treadmill runs, and these are my go-to shoes. They are stable and have just enough cushion. Definitely try them on if you can, I wear a 9.5 in some and a 10 in others depending on which style I try. I purchased both my pairs at REI. I like them better than my Hokas because of the weight and feel, but my Hokas have lasted a couple of years (even with road running and hiking), where these last 6-8 months before wearing out on the upper and losing some of the cushion. Mine do get rocks stuck in them- but its not a big deal.

I have two pairs of On shoes, and while they're super comfortable, I've been unimpressed with how quickly they show wear. I have a pair of CloudRunners that I got about a year ago. I don't wear them every day, and I was just wearing them to run or to workout in the gym, but the fabric around my toe is already coming apart, and there is a hole in the heal of one of the shoes. I still wear them when I'm walking my dogs, but they won't work to run in anymore.
Interesting idea- poor execution. Got a pair of their higher cushioned versions and the shoe felt hard. Tried running in it a few times and knee and shins hurt. Also rocks were stuck all in the shoe. And they are expensive. Seems to have a loyal following but I can't get "ON" board with these.
Naaaaaaaaaaaaaah, not the OR. I know like rich dads visiting their kids at college wear this and I see the also rich mommys with this at the gym that never work out and just get smoothie check out the vibe and head home, but these just aren't it.
Not all designs will work for you, it took a couple tried but my On Cloudflows are my go to running shoes!
the best, super high quality and mega comfort

My only issue is buying in person is crazy. The SoHo store is always got a 30-1.5hour wait and it's just annoying.

Best running shoes on the market. Went from running my first mile to running a marathon. Highly recommend. Never experienced any foot pain through all of my pairs.
I LOVE On Running, best shoes ever! I've even purchased their more casual line

Obsessed with all of my On Running shoes. As with all running shoes, it's best to get fitted at a run specialty store to make sure you're getting the right shoe. I love the Cloudstratus for road running and Cloudventure for trails. They are slowly overtaking HOKA on my shoe rack!
Quite comfy running/walking shoes.

Much heavier than expected. The bottom of the shoes "picks up" little rocks and pebbles all the time. They also don't last very long.
As a medical student, these are the only shoes that can handle the long hours of standing in surgery and clinical rounds. I also love that they are “tie less”, so convenient. They are the most comfortable tennis shoes I have ever worn, by far

They feel like I'm walking on clouds. I do have one of the older versions from a couple years back in which rocks get stuck in the spaces of the soul. I tend to use them for travel and Street walking only.
I love these shoes. I have a few different pairs. They are extremely light and very comfortable. A little pricey, but do think it's worth it.
Really comfy and fun to run in
