OLAPLEX earns polarized reviews: it visibly strengthens and revives bleached or damaged hair—No. 3 Hair Perfector, No. 6 Bond Smoother, No. 7 Bonding Oil, and the 4P Purple Shampoo are frequent standouts—yet many users report dryness, heaviness, or even increased shedding and brittleness if overused. The brand is praised for salon-clean scent, rich lather, and fast toning, but criticized for inconsistent results across hair types and small, hard-to-dispense bottles.

I have completely changed my tune when it comes to this line. Frustratingly I spent a few years investing in their products and not getting the results others with hair similar to mine swore by. I have type 3C / 4A curls and like to wear my hair curly volumized and on the longer side. I like a little bit of frizz but within reason. So when I first started using olaplex I only use the shampoo conditioner and the number eight mask and couldn't understand why when I would follow with my regular products my hair didn't look like my friend's hair did. Overtime I learned that it really does require the whole line if you're looking for damage reversal like me. I use number 013 now every two weeks I follow them with four and five in the shower. Afterward I actually leave my number eight mask overnight. I rinse it out the next day and use the 67 and 9:00 all together so the concoction that I used to style My curls is about 35% number 6 35% number 9 and about 30% number 7 the serum. I sometimes will go over a week without washing which is great for My curls and I'll freshen it up with Ouidad leave in conditioner and olaplex 7 bonding oil to reset and I'm good to go. My hair has gotten so much healthier, prettier, longer since I have been following the olaplex steps as listed on their website especially not overdoing it with zero and three and following instructions as to whether hair should be damp or dry and whatnot. It really works if you work it ;) P.s. they make it super easy to try their products before purchasing full size and offer trial/travel sizes for most of them as well as sets that tend to combine the perfect products together.

So my hair stylist uses this brand. I work in the industry as a designer and competitors are eyeing this brand for quality. I admire they don't really invest too heavily in their packaging, it's really all about the product. Thinking about that, I'm impressed. Smells great, easy on the hair. Once I'm out of my endless free product samples, I'll probably get me some for my home shower.

Olaplex is legit! It totally strengthens my hair and keeps my dye poppin way longer. Definitely worth the splurge if you want hair that's slayin and stays healthy!

This product smells good, and that’s about it. Makes your hair drier. It has a harmful ingredient for our skin called Phenoxythanol. This product also irritates the eyes super bad

I recommend using the MANUKA HONEY AND MAFURA OIL INTENSIVE HYDRATION shampoo.

I got this as a free gift from Sephora, super tiny, but I have had it for months. I apply it regularly but yet I still have more than half which is amazing. One good note is that it does not have a bad smell.

I love the olaplez no7 bonding oil! Its so good for damaged hair and makes my hair feel so soft and smell so nice after a shower! Would 100% recomend!

I have tried their bond maintenance shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo does help get clean but often I look for that deep clean because of how oily my hair gets, workouts etc. By itself sometimes I often do not think it does the job, really giving the deep clean I am looking for. But the conditioner, my holy grail! My hair feels softer bouncier (I get compliments from my hair dresser all the time about it). So, paired with another shampoo and then this conditioner, your hair will be renewed. Even for my natural girlies.

I got the travel size from Sephora and I'm totally in love - my hair has seen such an improvement since using them After using them twice a week for a month, my hair is left silky, smooth, and much more resilient. my hair feels so much healthier and stronger. Both Olaplex No. 3 and No. 8 are excellent for repairing damage and making my hair feel stronger than ever.

I am obsessed with Olaplex. I have dyed my hair, lost hair, and this is the only shampoo that has helped. It helps with my dead ends and breakage, fly always and frizz, and keeps my hair not dry.

I consistently use the #6 and #7 in combination and haven’t been able to find anything that comes close to it. Great product and I love that it doesn’t have a scent!

I have used the Olaplex products for about 6 months. I really like the silky feeling that they give my hair. I am older and my hair has become more dry but it doesn’t feel as dry using these products.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the oil forget what number it is but it does wonders for my hair for before and after styling! I’ve repurchased many times and will continue to do so!!!!💗💗

I don’t know how I did before discovering Olaplex no.6 the leave in cream. It’s years now that I use it and I find my hair softer, smoother and shinier. I recommend all products of Olaplex, no. 3 is amazing, I put it overnight and the hair gain hydration miraculously.

I have been using the Olaplex Hair Perfector Nº 3 on my hair and I feel that it is helping my hair to become softer and more hydrated. Loving it so far!

I've struggled with finding a new go-to shampoo and conditioner for a while now and thought Olaplex was the solution, but alas, it was not. I was first introduced to this brand because a friend offered it to me, and I was ecstatic to try this trending and popular brand. I used it first under hard water conditions, and it worked great on first use. It made my hair fluffy and lasted for a long time. But, as time progressed, the product stopped working as well as it did. My hair would become dryer and more damaged from it. The shampoo and conditioner often leave a waxy texture on my hair, so I tried to add more/less condition and the same with shampoo; it didn't change anything. Olaplex did not work long time use for me.

Resolve the waxy feeling that makes your hair feel dirty or provide solutions.

If you're looking for a solution to damaged and breaking hair, I highly recommend trying out Olaplex bond protector. I started using it two months ago, and I've already noticed a significant difference in the health and strength of my hair. Give it a try and see for yourself!

I'm not really sure how I feel about Olaplex. I've been getting their bond treatment mixed in with my color for years and honestly never saw a big difference in hair strength after highlights, but I trusted my hair colorist to do her thing. I recently started to use their extended retail product line [about 5 months ago] because I thought it would help my hair breakage after color sessions. I didn't find any of the treatments to be incredibly moisturizing. I've also been dealing with hair loss for the last 3 months but only after using Olaplex retail products with no other new products. I don't know if that's a coincidence or if it's actually the Olaplex line that is not agreeing with my scalp and hair, but I've discontinued using the products after reading about the lawsuits that have been filed against the company for hair loss and damage. Kinda scary... I didn't love how the CEO responded to the lawsuits either... it was incredibly defensive and lacked empathy for the customers who have experienced negative reactions to their products. I'd rather be on the safe side for now and not use the products.

My hair is really important to me and with their products you’ll find all you need. There are things for all hair types. May be pricey but it’s definitely worth the money.

I have the No 5 and No 6. I felt like they dried out my hair so only use once in a great while. My daughter uses the oil and seems to like it!
