  • Chic minimalist packaging presentation
  • Gentle sensitive-skin-friendly formulas

  • Fast-absorbing hydrating body serum
  • Inconsistent lathering body wash
  • Underwhelming deodorant performance reports
  • Subtle or odd fragrance execution
  • Light hydration in some lotions

Nécessaire earns mixed reviews: many say the body care works and feels luxurious—especially The Body Wash (Eucalyptus, Sandalwood), Body Exfoliator, Body Serum, and select deodorants—while others find formulas average for the hype. Strengths include chic, functional packaging and gentle, sensitive‑skin‑friendly formulas; weaknesses include scents that fade or skew odd, variable lather/hydration, smaller sizes that empty quickly, and some products (deodorant, haircare, body serum) underperforming or irritating for certain users.

  • I really like the scents of the body lotion and shower gel but I found the texture of the shower gel to be annoying. Also the top of the shower gel made it a little difficult to control how much would come out at once.

  • Purchased the body essentials set in Eucalyptus & the smell is amazing. I would probably purchase the scrub again but the lotion and body wash are just okay, I feel like drugstore versions are equally fine.

  • Minimalist, fragrance-free, and so incredibly moisturizing. I like how it layers well under SPF or oil. It’s not flashy, but it works well, and the sleek bottle makes it feel like a nice staple. Doesn't irritate my skin either.

  • I’ve only tried one product from Necessaire, their sandalwood-scented body exfoliator. It’s a nice product, but nothing mind boggling. I probably wouldn’t repurchase this exact product, but I would experiment with some of their other body care products.

  • I really like this brand. The eucalyptus is definitely one of my favourites and the scrub is so invigorating! I feel clean. It doesn’t leave some weird residue or dry out my skin. I’ve tried them all and I like them all.

  • Luxurious, clean body care with a minimalist touch. Minimalist and effective. I feel pampered every time I use it. The Eucalyptus body wash and unscented lotion feel indulgent yet simple — skincare for your whole body. Love!

  • truly the best body care items in the market! I have all the products and enjoy using each and every item. The shampoo/conditioner is fragrant free which is nice, I do miss the fragrance but also enjoy the fresh feel after a hair wash.

  • Absolutely obsessed with Nécessaire hand cream — it’s like a spa treatment for your hands in a sleek, minimal tube! The formula melts in instantly without any greasy residue, leaving my skin feeling super soft and nourished all day. Plus, it’s packed with clean, skin-loving ingredients that actually make a difference. If you want your hands to glow and stay hydrated, this is a must-have in your beauty arsenal!

  • Really love the smell of the rosemary shampoo/conditioner and the bar of soap is silky without leaving my skin dry. Overall I love the quality of these products. Not sure if I’ve noticed more hair growth but I may try it longer to see

  • I was so excited to try Necessaries Eucalyptus Body Essentials Set after seeing this brand and its sleek marketing at Sephora. The essentials set features a travel size body wash, body lotion and deodorant. The aroma of eucalyptus is very soothing but at times a bit strong. Especially when using all three products at once. It still gives spa vibes. These products are the perfect size for traveling. I love that this line is dermatologist tested, hypoallergenic, and vegan.

  • love the minimal look of their products and so far am happy with my purchases. I purchased the body wash and it get's the job done. The scent is pretty neutral but nothing really makes it stand out from other body washes to me. I also purchased 3 lotions which I do recommend. I love the lotion pump bottles! Just like we do face treatments in the day/night time why not do them with your body. I apply the retinol lotion twice a week in the evening before bed. Hyaluronic lotion for every day use and the body exfoliator once a week on "treat yo'self" day.

  • I find myself repurchasing so many of their items. Body and hand retinol, unscented shampoo and conditioner, scalp serum, hand lotion, deodorant. Ends up being an important piece of my day without requiring too much attention.

  • Solid and upscale-ish bath brand. I’ve used up a few bottles of their body wash in different scents and have enjoyed using them but am knocking off a star because they’re a bit pricey at $25 a bottle for what they are. They also tout ingredients like niacinamide, vitamins, and plant surfactants but I haven’t felt them make a difference compared to any other body wash I’ve used. The scents are nice but don’t linger afterwards which I actually like! I’m using Eucalyptus now but my favorite is their Sandalwood wash.

  • I really like Necessaire products. Their body serum truly sinks in almost instantly, which is a common claim with this product category that I frequently find isn't actually true for most brands. I often can't be bothered to get myself to moisturize my body (even if it needs it ... ugh) so that makes the body serum a must have for me because it's so easy to slap on and go after a shower. I wait for sales or special extra product offers a few times a year and then stock up because the price point is very high. Too high for me to justify using the body wash as my everyday one, even though I like it. Necessaire products make great gifts because they feel quite luxe and like the kind of treat most people don't buy themselves all the time.

  • I love their lotion. It’s lightweight yet effective and I love that it comes in an unscented version (but their scents are also incredible!). I knocked off a point because the tube it comes in is annoying to open.

  • I love the Eucalyptus body wash! It has a refreshing yet subtle sent that is my go to when I need a little boost or especially when I’m not feeling well. I always make sure it is in my shower! I have also tried the hand cream and body serum. Both of those were find but I have found options by other brands and at lower price points that I prefer.

  • I enjoyed using Necessaire's hand cream, I have used multiple of them already. I think the hand cream smells great and works great at the same time so I really liked it. Would like to try other products as well.

  • The Necessaire fragrance free line is remarkable. I use their hand cream, lotion, body serums, and deodorant. The lotion in the pump bottle is super thick and nourishing; i've gone through several bottles by now. I keep a container of their hand cream in my car, office, and bedside table.

  • I feel like I got duped into buying packaging. It IS nice packaging. I like the unique twist cap. At almost $30 for like 8 ounces, it’s wildly expensive. I tried the hinoki scent that has AHA in it, and I didn’t like the scent at all (though my boyfriend did) and I didn’t see a difference in my skin smoothness. It went quickly and we don’t have the bottle anymore. I also have the Santal one, which I think smells better. But it’s not worth it for me to purchase again.

  • I bought the deodorant gel in sandalwood. I was pretty excited because sandalwood is my favorite scent. I think the formula is great, and the packaging is chic, but the scent is more patchouli, and smells like toms of Maine did in the 90s.
