Reviews mention

  • Luxurious signature fragrance
  • Smoothing, frizz-taming performance
  • Noticeably glossier hair results
  • Lightweight, fast-absorbing oil
  • Heavy residue on fine hair
  • Overpowering fragrance intensity
  • Inconsistent curl hold performance
  • Questionable ingredient transparency

Moroccan Oil earns strong reviews for making hair feel softer, smoother, and glossier—its Treatment Oil, Hydrating Styling Cream, and Protect & Prevent Spray repeatedly deliver frizz control, shine, and quicker dry-down. Reviews also flag drawbacks: the signature scent can be overpowering, oils and shampoos can feel heavy or greasy on fine hair, certain formulas show noticeable buildup, and ingredient cleanliness concerns prompt some to switch brands.

  • A hit and miss for me. I love the smell, the nourishing texture and the feel of the treatment oil, but it doesn't do much for my frizzy hair, it unfortunately weighs it down. I do love the weightless hair mask though, it is extremely hydrating and nourishing!

  • I love this hair oil and only use it specifically on my ends. My hair looks too greasy when I use it further up since I have dark, thick hair. It also smells amazing, which is a huge plus!

  • I have always loved the scent of Moroccan Oil products. The hair oil did wonders for my hair. However, after finding out that some of the ingredients used might be harmful and are not as clean, I have decided to switch to a different hair oil. It did always work well, but I prefer a cleaner product.

  • I got the shampoo, conditioner and hair oil as a gift. I absolutely love all the products. They smell amazing and I love to use them every so often. I wouldn’t use it everyday just because of the Moroccan oil but other than that it’s great.

  • I can only speak on their finishing oil.... and I LOVE IT. Smells great. You barely need any. I use the smallest amount for my very long hair. It helps keep my hair shiny and tame those pesky fly aways.

  • The thing that stands out to me most about this brand is the scent is smells so good and heavenly. I was recommended Moroccan oil after dying my hair to help keep it healthy and moisturized. I thought the hair oil was good but nothing crazy that would make me purchase religiously it mainly was the scent that sold me. This brand is pricey so I haven’t repurchased as I’m trying different brands at the moment. I also bought the heat protector and hated it. It also smelled great but left a wierd texture / reside on my hair. I had applied the heat protectant to my dry hair before straightening I am not sure if I was using it wrong but I was not a fan of the heat protector.

  • I love Moroccan Oil, I have used it for years. The scent is amazing and always makes my hair shine so nicely. Great product!

  • The Moroccan Oil hair treatment oil works wonders on my hair. It transforms my hair from dry and unmanageable to silky smooth and soft. It also strengthens and hydrates my hair and makes it less prone to breakage. I use it regularly and have noticed a big improvement in my hair's texture and shine.

  • I feel like they do such a good job at a quality product! They didn’t release all this stuff they stick to what they are good at!

  • I use their mousse on ocassion. Unfortunately, if you have thin hair, it can weigh your hair down a lot. I do think their scent is fabulous and their oil is pleasant to use on frizzy hair.

  • The smell of this product is what differentiates it from any other hair care line.

  • Love the smell and luxury feeling of their products; however, I will no longer be supporting this brand due to their ties to Israel

  • I love their hair oil. My fine hair soaks it up without getting weighed down.

  • I have the Dry Shampoo Dark Tone dry hair shampoo. I loved the scent at first but it does get overwhelming after a while- if you are sensitive to that. It works well but don't use it multiple days in a row. You can see the build up.

  • I have knee-length hair, so hair oil is serious business for me, and this is one of the better ones. It’s lightweight, smells great, lasts a long time, and I swear it makes my hair dry faster somehow than when I forget to use it. They also often come in reusable glass packaging, which is a rarity for hair products. Although I’ve repurchased this several times in the past, I’ve since switched to other hair oils, primarily because of the smell. Although it is nice, it is useless in the formula and does nothing for the hair. There are other oils, even pure argan oils, you can buy for cheaper that don’t have straight-up perfume in them. And if you really need the smell, Moroccan Oil actually sells candles, so you don’t actually need to apply hair product for it.

  • I been using Moroccan oil to help keep my curls healthy! On the day I am washing my hair I put the coconut oil just at the bottoms and after stying helps loosen the curls!

  • Argan oil has some good qualities but overall it was too heavy for my hair. It weighs down my hair and isn't something I can use.

    Feedback

It might work for some people and the quality is good. But does not work for everyone.

  • I never liked hair oil until trying this oil! It soaks into my hair so well and smells AMAZING.

  • So great for my hair. Every product I have tried, especially the hair masks and hot oil treatments, work wonders on thick, unmanageable, frizzy hair and crazy split ends/tangles...which is what I deal with on a daily basis. This brand has saved me a lot of time and money with their great products.
