Magic Spoon largely satisfies those seeking a healthier, high‑protein, low‑sugar riff on nostalgic cereals, according to reviews, but it is not universally loved. Reviewers praise its 13g protein per serving, gluten‑free/grain‑free formulas, fun flavors like Fruity, Cocoa, Cinnamon Roll, and Maple Waffle, and cheerful packaging; common complaints cite an artificial or stevia/monk‑fruit aftertaste, gummy texture that sticks to teeth, flavor inconsistency (especially some chocolate/peanut butter variants), limited satiety for some, and very small, pricey boxes.

I really wanted to love the Magic Spoon cereal, but after purchasing multiple flavors, I realized that I just do not care for the taste of the cereal. The loops have an aftertaste and consistency, that I believe is required to make this higher protein cereal, which I cannot get past. It may be my sensitivity to processed food, so if you like these traditional cereal flavors, I think you will really like them because each flavor tastes just like the original (minus the aftertaste and consistency for me).
I tried the chocolate flavor of Magic Spoon and it tasted pretty good! I also love their branding.

I try to avoid eating dairy and unfortunately this cereal isn't dairy free since it contains a "milk protein blend" :/ If yall could make a dairy-free and gluten-free version that would be awesome!!
I recently tried Magic Spoon Peanut Butter cereal and was very impressed. The flavor was spot on - crunchy, nutty, and perfectly sweet. The fact that it has 4g net carbs, 14g complete protein, and only 170 calories per serving is a huge plus. It's also a big plus that the cereal is free of artificial ingredients, making it a healthier option. I would definitely recommend this cereal to anyone looking for a tasty and nutritious breakfast option. Overall, I give it a 5 out of 5 stars.
Best cereal ever!

The brand is amazing and innovative. The taste….didn’t register.
I have been a regular consumer of Magic Spoon for the last year. I have tried almost all of their flavors. For a protein, gluten free cereal, this is by far the best brand I have tried. The Maple Waffle and Peanut Butter flavors are my favorite. Keep an eye out for their seasonal flavors, as those are the best. Their customer service is wonderful and very responsive. Shipping direct from their website is fast and everything comes as advertised.

As someone who loves to add a bit of crunch on top of yogurt, this is the best brand of "protein cereal" I have tried. The flavors are great and I love that they are gluten free. If you are expecting it to taste like regular cereal, you will be disappointed (except the Fruity flavor does taste exactly like Fruit Loops, yum!). However, Magic Spoon checks all the boxes for me in terms of satisfying my sweet tooth with something yummy and crunchy.

I received a box of Magic Spoon in a Pop Up Grocer box. The packaging is so fun and the cereal was quite yummy.
Intriguing product with great branding.

Innovative product that feels really nostalgic. Takes me back to eating cereal in front of Saturday morning cartoons. The flavors can be a little sweet, but that seems as if it’s the aim. I wouldn’t mind a slightly less-sweet version as well.
I love the idea and some flavors, like cinnamon, were pretty good. I just can’t get past the aftertaste. I’m sensitive to that stuff though. It’s a no for me.

The flavors could be a little stronger.
I really wanted to love this... I'm a huge cereal gal and have done Atkins off and on throughout the years. Cereal is always one of the things I miss the most... but this one just misses the mark. Weird flavors, icky coating on the cereal, odd texture. It doesn't hit the spot, and at the price point, it's just not one that will ever make it into rotation for me.

I tried all the flavors and wasn't into any of them.
I was really excited to try this cereal since I saw it being talked about everywhere. I bought the honey flavor and it was NOT good. I threw out the entire box because I just could not eat it. Since then I’ve been reluctant to try it again since it is quite expensive.
Magic Spoon has the best BFY cereal on the market. The label is fairly clean and I personally enjoy the taste of 75% of their flavors (I have tried them all.) I personally like to eat Magic Spoon as a late-night snack when I have the munchies or hankering for some dessert. Their flavor innovation is rapid which is great but it can cause some not-so-good flavors to get across the finish line. Magic Spoon has been great at implementing customer feedback on all fronts (product, CX, technical, etc.)
Love this - my 5yo has had type 1 diabetes since he was 1, so this healthy cereal has been the best way for him to get to experience cereal without the blood sugar spike and crash.

I only wish the brand would go through the process to get certified gluten free so this is celiac safe.
I’m all for healthier alternatives to my favorite junk food but these missed the mark for me. Taste and texture are just slightly too “off”.

Maybe with repeated exposure I could get used to it but these types of cereals are already a rare treat for me that I would rather eat the normal product and completely fulfill the craving for much cheaper!!
The chocolate cereal is my favorite out of all the flavors! They were overall fun to eat, but the price is a little too steep per box. Love the concept though.
The brand is cool and innovative, but the cereal hurts my stomach after eating (probably due to the whey) and it gets stuck in my teeth.
Absolutely terrible-tasting. What a huge waste of money. I really wanted to like this, as I love my childhood cereals and their branding and flavor choices are great, but wow, what a dissappointment.

Feels and tastes like i'm eating cardboard, and is waaaaaay too expensive to be this bad.
Tried the cocoa flavor and was not a fan - tasted too chalky.

I love your branding and attempt to make better-for-you cereal, but it didn’t do the trick.

My husband loves that he can eat tasty cereal without the guilt; I feel differently as I think there are healthier cereals out there that taste better and are far less expensive. $10 is really steep.
Feedback
The packaging is incredibly flimsy and cheap for a $10 box of cereal; they should invest in stronger corrugate boxes
love the branding and idea - but the product just doesn’t taste good, its very artificial and you can taste the sweetener they use which isn’t pleasant
