Loftie earns mixed reviews: it excels at promoting phone-free, gentler sleep with a two-phase alarm, rich white/brown noise, meditations, and a sleek, minimalist design, but reliability issues—missed alarms, freezes, buggy app syncing, and Wi‑Fi dependence—undermine trust. Buyers praise the blackout display, customizable sounds, and lamp’s red light, yet complain about unintuitive UX, inconsistent sound quality, cheap-feeling buttons, and the nightlight’s weak brightness.
AI summary based on Thingtesting reviews
I ordered both the Loftie lamp and the alarm clock. I really enjoy both products. The lamp has a great red light to use before bed. The alarm clock has many white noise options for sleeping! I use the setting buttons on the actual devices instead of my phone because I found the app to be a bit glitchy!
My Loftie alarm is excellent! I wake up to sound bowls every morning. I love the way there are many different sounds to choose from.
I tried this for a few days and immediately decided to return. The app isn't intuitive and I just couldn't get it set up the way I wanted. The goal is to put your phone further away, but I just couldn't rely on it for that to be possible. I love the concept, but just can't recommend and probably wouldn't give this particular company a second chance.
can not NOT recommend this clock enough. had it for a year and loved it. then one night it lost connection while the sound machine was on and I was asleep and my alarm did not go off the next morning making me late to work. for a clock that helps you get your phone out of your room, doesn't work if you can't rely on it to wake you up. the clock was frozen until it died...which wasn't long since it basically has to be plugged in at all times. will absolutely be looking for a new clock to replace. aesthetically pleasing yes, but not worth the money at all.
I bought a refurbished Loftie about a year ago. I use the brown noise feature, alarm, and light almost every night. I like that it's simple, sleek, and does what it's supposed to do.

I would love it a bit more if it connected with Bluetooth so I could wake up to music or play a podcast but I understand the goal here is simplicity. It only connected with a 2.4Gz wireless connection so I had to turn off my simplified network and create a separate wifi line just for the clock which was frustrating. Overall decent clock, but definitely expensive for what it is.
It looks great - that is the primary appeal. The interface isn't the most intuitive though. The light underneath it is good, but I agree with others and wish the light would turn on when the alarm goes off. Some nice ambient sound options.
Feedback
I also wish it would display the weather on the screen.
Like the design and concept as well as the brand. Found the sound quality to be lacking and the experience of using the app and physical buttons to be clunky. Consider this a big waste of money.
So, at first I was really excited. My sleep habits were bad enough that it seemed worth spending the $$$. But the app is rarely updated and the sounds aren’t great (something about the quality scares my partner and our cats lol). Now it’s just a very pricey alarm clock.

More sounds! Let us integrate Spotify and Calm.

I love my Loftie smart clock! It's so powerful for such a small device. You can change the lighting situation, the sounds, play different types of sounds and music, set sleep timers and wake up alarms. Truly does everything you need for quality sleep.

I was initially excited about Lottie because of its positive reviews and unique features. However, after using it for a while, I found that it fell short of my expectations. I give Lottie a 3 out of 5 star rating because it has some potential, but it needs to be improved in several areas. Lottie's design is one of its strongest selling points. It is sleek and modern, and it stands out from other products in its category. Lottie is relatively easy to use, even for people who are not tech-savvy. Affordable: Lottie is priced competitively compared to similar products. Lottie's functionality is somewhat limited. It does not have as many features as some other products, and it can be frustrating to use at times. Lottie has the potential to be a great product, but it needs to be improved in several areas. I would recommend it to people who are looking for a basic product with a unique design, but I would not recommend it to people who need a product with a lot of features.
I really love the style and look of this lamp and clock. My main issue is that I can't use smart bulbs with it. It doesn't function with Loftie's system. So I can't tell Google to turn off my light, I have to do it on my phone.
This sleek, stylish device not only wakes me up but also envelops me in a soothing aura from morning to night. Its customizable alarms, featuring a variety of calming sounds, meditation sessions, and relaxation exercises, have turned my bedroom into a tranquil haven. What's even better is how Loftie seamlessly fits into my smart home setup, playing the role of the sleep-focused conductor among my devices. With its impressive battery life, I don't have to worry about constant recharging disrupting my sleep tracking or relaxation sessions. Admittedly, there's a premium attached to this sophistication, and the voice assistant integration could be more extensive. However, as someone who craves a holistic sleep experience, Loftie's elegant design, user-friendly features, and sleep-enhancing potential make it a worthwhile investment for me.
What's good is great, and what's bad makes this something I can't yet recommend to others. I love the aesthetic and the features (gentle awakening, lots of non-abrasive alarm sounds, meditations), and that it gets me to be able to put my phone across the room when I sleep. The app definitely could use some work, though. I don't find the UX to be intuitive while setting it up and navigating the features. It also took me months to get the clock to sync with the app, after many back-and-forths with CX. The alarm has also not gone off a few times due to the syncing being disrupted for some reason—causing me to have to set a backup alarm on my phone many days.

Improve the app UX and syncing mechanism, reduce the size of the power cable wall brick.

I wake up to birds in NYC. The clock face goes 100% dark. The best alarm clock ever.
I loved the clock, BUT there was a software error earlier in the year where alarms didn't go off. The error wasn't resolved that day: I was still getting emails for at least a week about them "looking into it". I eventually stopped using it bc what is the point of using an alarm if I have to set my phone anyway? It's a nice clock, I just have lost trust in the alarm ngl

Like the alarm clock, wish they would upgrade the functionality to have the light turn on when the alarm goes off.
The limited number of buttons makes scrolling through menus on the Loftie really frustrating & time-consuming. The buttons themselves feel cheap and make an annoying noise when pressed. The light and two-phase alarm are nice and it looks great next to a bed, but those two features are not worth the money.
Feedback
Improve hardware build quality, especially on buttons. Reduce the size of the power cable wall brick.
This is the perfect alarm clock for me. I love the simple look with the adjustable light. The wake up noises progressively get louder and are effective at waking me up. I enjoy the sound machine features. I've also listened to some of the extras like story times etc. I love that I can manage it from my phone. I've also been enjoying the wind down feature for bedtime.
Love the concept and it's been helpful in creating a non tech environment before bed. I think that the app could have better functionality rather than just being somewhere you can program your Loftie from.
Feedback
There are lot of programs on the Loftie itself but requires a lot of clicking through before getting to the right one. Bluetooth at the time of writing can be a little dodgy connection wise.

Absolutely loving this clock! Haven’t gotten around to trying out all the features yet but I look forward to trying them all. So far I am loving the soft wake up alarm, the guided meditations, and the many different sleep sounds. Highly recommend!
