Reviews mention

  • Noticeably fast hydration boost
  • Convenient travel-ready packets
  • Wide, crowd-pleasing flavors
  • Mixes easily in cold water
  • Overly sweet, sometimes salty taste
  • High sugar and sodium content
  • Occasional thick, gritty texture
  • Inconsistent flavor enjoyment

Liquid I.V. earns strong reviews for fast, noticeable hydration—especially after workouts, travel, heat, and hangovers—while convenient single-serve packets and broad flavor variety (Lemon Lime, Strawberry, Passion Fruit, Watermelon, Golden Cherry) stand out. However, many reviews flag overly sweet, sometimes salty flavors, a “thick” mouthfeel, undissolved grit, and high sugar/sodium; some prefer diluting with more water or the newer sugar‑free line, and a few question ingredient “cleanliness” or effectiveness versus competitors.

  • Been drinking these forever, and it does make a difference which is a win in my book. Also, they taste fantastic, are super accessible to purchase, and have continued to build upon their product offerings. However, it’s not a silver bullet solution and works best when combined with supplements with milk thistle.

Continue adding new products that have more liver benefits beyond helping with dehydration.

  • Very practical but not necessarily innovative. We used these for a long festival in the desert. Lugging around giant bottles of Gatorade or other post night out hydration drinks is impractical. These packets when mixed with water did do the job of rehydrating us nicely. We used them several times. Some flavors were better then others. Definitely aim to mix with ice cold water. That helps with the taste. I wish they used less sugar overall.

    Less sugar please!

  • Great taste, and helps with a whole host of things ranging from sickness to hangover and more.

  • Nurse friend recommended these as a way to be more effective with hydration overall. Maybe it's psychological, but in my anecdotal experience using these while traveling or after a night out they work well. Friends training for Ironman also kept them in their training routine. Plus they taste really good.

    Feedback

They're a little pricey so I buy them from Costco.

  • I prefer these to Gatorade or any pre-mixed sports drink. Very helpful to have these on trips with friends when there's drinking involved. I don't bounce back as quickly as I did in college lol. I definitely feel better after drinking one.

    Feedback

They don't always mix well and can sometimes be grainy/salty. The price point is a little high for how many you get in a pack, so when we do buy we buy in bulk at Costco.

  • I swear by these after a night out or after intense physical activity in the summer heat. I feel noticeably more hydrated compared to other sports beverages.

    Feedback

The price is high. Yes, it's cheaper than buying ready-to-drink pedialyte, but it's not the most affordable thing to always keep on stock at home.

  • Not a huge fan. I like and appreciate the concept, but when added to my water this had an almost oily texture? It wasn't enjoyable, and the flavor seemed odd.

    Texture/ mouth feel?

  • Liquid I.V. is simply a practical, appealing product. Does what it needs to do. Taste is appealing, and it's way more convenient than running to the store for a coconut water or similar when I'm hungover.

More flavors? Copy my favorite Gatorade flavor — lime cucmber.

  • Liquid IV taste's great and helped me feel quite hydrated! I love that they reach out to many college athletes and relatable individuals as well for promotion.

    Feedback

    Less added sugars.

  • Definitely helps after a hangover! I feel rejuvenated

    Feedback

Feel bloated after, less sodium if possible. The lemon one has a terrible aftertaste.

  • Great product, I used it when I went hiking. Tastes a little on the chalky side, but when working with powered water enhancers that is bound to happen. Very unique flavors as well.

    It's expensive

  • Products tasted well, mixed well, had good variety.

    Feedback

Didn't notice as "hydrating" of an impact as other electrolyte drinks or mixes. Priced at a premium, but didn't perform as such.

  • There is not a single Liquid I.V. flavor that I don't love. I love drinking these at music festivals, after working out or to cure a hangover.

    Feedback

    Less sugar.

  • Liquid I.V. is a lifesaver, especially if you're a college student. It has single-handedly saved me from some of the worst colds and hangovers of my life. I also love to mix it in with water after long runs or tough workouts, too. It's such a great product because you don't have to consume a large amount of fluid to obtain the hydration your body needs. I bought a large variety pack from Costco at the beginning of the year and it was a fantastic purchase.

One tip would be if you're really looking to rehydrate, mix liquid I.V. into a sports drink. I personally really like to mix the lemon-lime flavor of Liquid I.V. in with a yellow Gatorade. It makes the sports drink flavor taste better and gives you twice the amount of electrolytes.

  • Love the strawberry flavor, pina colada, and the new tropical punch. Great for when traveling. And you can use your FSA to purchase!

    Feedback

Wish it had more salt and less sugar. Would be nice to come in a tub with a scoop.

  • Tastes amazing and love that I can purchase and subscribe to save $$. I always throw one in my bag or have before a night out of drinking!

  • Exceptional product, I continuously keep our pantry stocked. Great for general hydration, or hangover cure, and the packets are easy to take along wherever they need to go.

  • The Matcha flavor is great and the product does hydrate you

    Feedback

Some flavors have a very pronounced alternative sweetener aftertaste.

  • I love Liquid IV and tried it after getting Covid when I needed to stay hydrated. I got the watermelon flavor and really enjoyed it. I noticed that when it's in a normal sized cup, it's fairly sweet. But if you put it in a 32 oz Nalgene, the saltiness comes out. It doesn't bother me, but something good to know!
