Liquid I.V. reviews and discussion

Reviews mention

  • Fast-acting hydration boost
  • Convenient travel-friendly packets
  • Wide, crowd-pleasing flavors
  • Smooth, easy dissolving powder
  • Overly sweet flavor profiles
  • Noticeable salty aftertaste
  • High sugar and sodium content
  • Occasional clumping texture

Liquid I.V. earns strong reviews for fast, noticeable hydration—especially after workouts, heat, travel, or a night out—while convenient single-serve packets and broad flavor variety (standouts include Lemon Lime, Strawberry, Passion Fruit, Watermelon, Golden Cherry) make it easy to use. Reviews also flag consistent drawbacks: many flavors taste overly sweet or salty, some feel thick or artificial, and the added sugar and sodium (with a newer sugar‑free line noted) are frequent concerns; mixing can clump and flavor hit-or-miss. Overall, the brand is effective but polarizing on taste and ingredients.

  • The portion was good the flavor was good I tried tangerine

    The price

  • I've had this a few times after a heavy night of drinking and it's just too heavy on the stomach if you're feeling nauseous but if you have a stronger stomach, this might work for you

  • I like the idea of electrolyte hydration but there is way too much added sugar in here. The taste is great but wish they didn't add too much sugar. It is a life safer when you are super dehydrated

    Please use less sugar

  • Liquid I.V. is a top tier hydration option. Long lost are the days when all we had the option to choose was a specific children's beverage. Liquid I.V. allows adults to be adults. The simplicity of mixing the packet with a bottle of water, makes for a tasty quick hydration replenishment.

I wish there were different size multipacks.

  • I really wish I liked this as much as I wanted to! I had the lemon lime flavor and didn't see any effects after a week of drinking the mixes. I had hoped that Liquid IV would improve my hydration levels and make drinking water interesting for me again, but it wasn't remarkable. Despite my review, I'd be willing to try it again and see if it makes a difference after strenuous activity such as hiking, exercising, etc.

  • I didn't feel much of a difference after using these – I actually felt thirstier after using so I guess it made me get more hydrated haha. There is a LOT of salt in these, so much so that you can clearly taste it in their flavors.

I'd like less salt and a stronger effect (if possible)

  • I've received this in so many wedding goody-bags which is SUCH a great idea. Definitely a lifesaver for most after a long night.

I have a super sensitive stomach and it doesn't often sit well with me -- don't want that to deter people but it might not work for everyone.

  • The hangover remedy you didn’t know you needed. One of these and you’re smooth sailing. Before or after drinking or working out. I always have one handy in my purse, because you never know really.

  • I carried these religiously to births to help keep laboring people and myself hydrated! It works well but because it is so sweet I typically end up using half a packet at a time.

    Less sugar

  • Pricey but so important and necessary for those who are active. I use these during long distance cycling and they make all the difference.

  • These are a must for the very-hungover. They taste alright but it's all about how they make you feel! After one of these and a gatorade, I always feel much better after a long night out!

  • These taste good and I think they help a bit, especially after a night out. It's not an outstanding product, but I think it works reasonably enough.

Some of the flavors are a bit salty.

  • Love the variety of flavors - always my go-to when I need a pick me up in the middle of the day or a hangover cure the day after drinking.

    Feedback

    Quite sugary!

  • Liquid IV is the best-tasting way to get electrolytes in my opinion. They are also great for travel since you can mix them into water. I love to take them on girls' trips to share and put one in my backpack when I fly for extra hydration.

  • Overhyped, sugary drinks. Don't notice a difference for hangovers but they taste good.

    formulation and ingredients

  • The sugar counter-acts the good stuff for me.

Take out the sugar and use an alt. sweetener please

  • Seems to do the trick! Tastes fine.

Perhaps a bit less gritty, better price point

  • I love their hydration packs. Definitely feel better drinking them after working out, long days in the sun or sick. Most of the flavors are good, some I don’t care for but that’s personal preference. I personally like the salty sweetness of it, definitely just tastes like a electrolyte drink so if you don’t like the saltiness of those types of drinks, you probably won’t like this either. They are in the pricier side however but good to stock up when they’re on sale.
