Liquid Death earns polarizing reviews: many praise its crisp still and sparkling waters, edgy tallboy cans that help non-drinkers blend in at concerts, and recyclable aluminum packaging; others call it “just water,” note metallic or flat tastes, and dislike sweetened flavors and the recent source change to Virginia. Fans highlight flavors like Mango Chainsaw, Severed Lime, Berry It Alive, and teas (Armless Palmer/Dead Billionaire), while critics cite bitter stevia aftertaste, limited carbonation, non‑resealable cans, and inconsistent flavor quality.
AI summary based on Thingtesting reviews
It is no different than any other water; if anything, it has a metallic aftertaste that wasn't suitable for my tastebuds.
I am so-so on Liquid Death. It's much better than soda but not the best seltzer. The marketing, though--can't be beat. I keep buying cases, so I guess it's working. I'd recommend trying it out.

There is nothing better than an ice old can of water on a hot day. I love the design, for one, but the water is so good. No after taste whatsoever, just crisp, cool water. It's easily one of my favorite brands of water.

Try it ice cold. It tastes so amazing.
10/10 taste and 10/10 packaging design! Love the cans and appreciate how confident it makes me feel when I'm not drinking alcohol, but don't want to stand out in the crowd. The Liquid Death marketing team is unmatched.

Keep doing what you're doing.
It may seem frivolous, but this water rocks. At parties and events I love to have a drink in my hand, but don't want it to be alcohol always. I love the bubbly water the most and their flavored ones are good to.
Water. That's all. But aren't we all dust anyways?
I never understood why people would buy this, but as a non drinker at social events it does make you feel like you at least have a can of beer /something to hold

I love this brand! The packaging is genius, I love when I go to festivals or bars and they have this option for water. It tastes good too.
It’s water, what can I say. But it’s somehow more fun. Love the branding and everything they do. I had the sparkling water version of this and I’d get it again.

Love the water, the sparkling water, and the packaging since it is metal it is more likely to be recycled than plastic. Also you look bad*ss while drinking it.

Liquid Death is just a great idea overall - the upgrade of canned water, that actually tastes GREAT. So many waters/sparkling waters have had a monopoly for so long, so it's nice to see a contemporary challenger come to the forefront. I also love how big the cans are - tiny sparkling water cans are never enough (I'm a seltzer gorl).

The website features mostly white men...I get that the branding is very "metal" which is typically white man energy, but being inclusive is important and I think the site + the social should be way more diverse.

I love the branding a lot. The first time I saw this was at a music festival and it was super humorous to us that it looks like an IPA or some other alcoholic beverage but is really just water. (and obviously funny that it's the opposite of death). Also love that it's a can instead of a plastic bottle!
I love everything about this brand. Their mission of being sustainable and getting rid of plastic bottles is amazing. The water tastes delicious. Also a good alternative for a sober night because people assume it's a drink because of the logo and the can. It is very pricey for some cans of water. So I only get it when I'm really in the mood for them.

I think the price is a bit steep, I wish they had some coupons occasionally.
Truly good tasting water and I love aluminum over plastic
Coolest can of water. Thought it was beer, it’s just water. Sold by the Super Bowl ad.

When are ya launching in London!
The sparkling lime flavor is great highly recommended! The still is good too just takes getting used to drinking out of a can.

Love the sparkling lime water and would love to see more flavors!
I'm a sucker for cool packaging and this definitely got me. It's literally just water, nothing incredibly special about it, other than it comes in a wicked cool can. Maybe the aluminum can keeps it extra cold? Still, I'd buy it again.

Ok, I get that it's just water in a can BUT liquid death comes in an aluminum can (always a plus because it can be recycled easily) and the seltzer flavors are on point. Love that it comes in a larger size than a traditional seltzer, too!
I’m always happy to see Liquid Death when I’m shooting a music festival. The sparkling has the perfect amount of crunch and the flavors are perfect without being too sweet or overpowering. Great branding!
