La Roche-Posay earns strong reviews as effective, dermatologist-trusted care for sensitive and acne‑prone skin, with standouts like Effaclar Duo, Toleriane cleansers/moisturizers, Cicaplast B5, and Anthelios sunscreens delivering clearer, calmer, well‑hydrated skin. Reviews also flag drawbacks: some sunscreens leave shine or a temporary white cast, certain formulas feel heavy or cause breakouts, occasional noticeable fragrance, and mixed results for rosacea.

The Cicaplast balm is a game changer for eczema. The cream helps repair the damaged layer of skin, without causing further outbreak. Made for sensitive skin it didn't have any fragrance or color. Pricey, but it works.
These are some of the best products on the market today. They are definitely luxury and you will see results. They are worth every penny if not more. a little goes along way, and the product last a long time.
I liked the Toleriane Purifying Foaming Cleanser. It proved to be gentle, but very cleansing and it left my skin glowy.
This brand is so reliable and trustworthy. Their stuff is high quality. I have tried a bunch of their product and never been disappointed, but my holy grail is ANTHELIOS tinted SPF. It goes on a bit dark, but does sit nicely under makeup.
These are very gentle. They must keep sensitive skin in mind when developing products, because they are not irritating. The face products especially are nice and smooth on the skin, and not too sticky or tacky afterwards.
I have dry skin and rosacea and the toleriane hydrating gentle cleanser has been nothing but spectacular for my skin - it's incredibly gentle, almost cushiony. It's also great value relative to its size and you can now buy refills rather than repurchasing the bottle! I've used some other products from this brand, none as long as the cleanser, but can confidently say that they've all been high quality too.

EFFACLAR DUO (+) is a holy grail of skincare!!! It works almost instantly and gets rid of active pimples so well. I cannot imagine my life and skincare w/o it. Def a must have. I tried diff products of theirs throughout middle and high school as I used to have a lot of acne and they all worked super well.

So far, ive loved what ive tried from this brand. Its easy to find and priced affordably, I often find it on sale at Shoppers in Canada. Im a big fan of the Cicaplast Baume, but I find that for my oily skin its best used as an occasional mask (thick layer, leave it on, wash it off before bed) or as a once in a while heavy moisturizer before bed. I think in the past over-use of this has caused congestion in my skin, so if youre acne prone, use minimally! I recently bought the Ciaplast for Hands and its amazing, it seems like it would be greasy but its a deligtful texture that soaks in quickly, and has been a lifesaver for my dry, east coast winter. I havent tried many other things, so this review is mainly of the Ciaplast line. Chapstick is nice as well!
If you're looking for a big step up from drug store but still don't want to wander down the tempting aisles of Sephora/Ulta, La Roche-Posay will be your best friend. It does what many of the other brands/products claim to do at a teeny bit higher of a price point but not comparable to shopping from spots like Sunday Riley. They have all derm-grade and recommended products for a reason and do particularly well with my sensitive skin.
salicylic cleanser is decent but didn't improve my acne as significantly as i hoped it to

Excellent. Really great products for the skin. I’ve been traveling with it and love it. The only thing is the orange packaging for sunscreen, Anthelios is a bit thick for my liking.

Solid skincare, especially for someone less experienced. Its pharmacy accessibility is amazing!
I don’t know what I’d do without Cicaplast. I call it my miracle Creme and have used it as face cream and all parts of my body. A true holy grail. Where can I order in bulk, please? Never had any reaction with the other products on my very sensitive skin. The Effaclar line is great for acne prone skin.
They have my go to moisturizer no matter what other products I use always come back to this because it leaves my face fairly so hydrated and I have to keep her purchasing. It’s a mess can’t go without it.
I liked their foaming cleanser, but didn't have the urge to repurchase when I ran out. Nothing really wrong with it, I just feel like I've found other holy grail skincare products that I prefer a little more.

La Roche-Posay has been a total lifesaver for my skin! The products are gentle yet effective, especially the sunscreen — it’s lightweight, doesn’t break me out, and doesn’t leave a white cast. It’s my go-to for everyday protection, and I trust this brand for all my skincare needs. I also really love the retinol but my target stopped carrying it so maybe it was discontinued?
La Roche-Posay foaming cleanser leaves my skin so so clean, without stripping it. It doesn't have extra fragrance, or leave any residue. It feels clean and healthy for my skin.
As someone with eczema, it is super hard finding products that don't leave my face riddled with hives. La Roche-Posay is gentle, clean, and simple. I love their cleansers, specifically.
I have used everything from clinical to luxury skincare products and these are now my daily products along with clinical products. My skin loves the unfussy ingredients and they layer well with my Retin A and human growth factors without irritating my skin.
La Roche-Posay has quickly become one of my go-to skincare brands. Their products are specifically designed for sensitive skin, and I've seen a noticeable improvement in texture and hydration since I started using them. The thermal spring water in their formulations is incredibly soothing, making their creams and serums a dream to apply. The Toleriane line, in particular, is fantastic for my reactive skin. I appreciate that their products are often recommended by dermatologists, giving me confidence in what I'm using. Overall, La Roche-Posay delivers effective and gentle skincare solutions that I would highly recommend.
