La Roche-Posay Reviews

4.6

La Roche-Posay earns strong reviews as effective, dermatologist-trusted care for sensitive and acne‑prone skin, with standouts like Effaclar Duo, Toleriane cleansers/moisturizers, Cicaplast B5, and Anthelios sunscreens delivering clearer, calmer, well‑hydrated skin. Reviews also flag drawbacks: some sunscreens leave shine or a temporary white cast, certain formulas feel heavy or cause breakouts, occasional noticeable fragrance, and mixed results for rosacea.

  • I think this product is fantastic but maybe not fantastic for me. I have oily acne prone skin. I bought this in preparation to deal with extremely dry skin from tretinoin, but I decided to use adapalene gel instead and have really focused on a gel moisturizer. This is great for anywhere else your face or body that’s dry and it is a beautiful thick bomb that really does keep you moisturized. It is just not great for acne prone skin.

  • I have tried tretinoin, and retinols galore. This is my favorite one by far. I have worked up to using it every few days and just a piece size amount. I feel like it’s gentle. I haven’t dealt with the extreme dry skin that comes with tretinoin and for the price point in accessibility at any drugstore I highly recommend you try this if you’re dealing with extreme acne, dark spots, and just wanting a real extreme version of retinol.

  • This salicylic acid and LHA blend medicated gel cleanser is fantastic. It feels minty cool fresh on the skin and I believe it’s pretty gentle for the active ingredients it has I use it on my back and on my face.

  • I am such a fan of this face wash. The purifying foaming cleanser is my go to cleanser. It’s a fantastic make up remover and it really just feels like it gets all the dirt sweat and makeup off from the day so when I saw at target they had this new refill pack. It’s 73% last plastic compared to just buying another bottle and this little baggie refilled my large pump container twice so I think I paid $17 for the bag and that’s how much one pump is so really I got two products for the price of one and was able to keep it green and helped the environment so highly recommend this.
