Reviews mention

  • Low-glycemic formula, blood-sugar friendly
  • Soft-baked, chewy cookie texture
  • Colorful, eye-catching packaging
  • High-fiber, portion-controlled packs
  • Occasionally dry, cakey texture
  • Noticeable sweetener aftertaste
  • Small cookie size, scant quantity
  • Inconsistent, muted flavor intensity

Joydays earns largely positive reviews as a low-glycemic, low-sugar cookie that satisfies sweet cravings without spikes, with many comparing the soft-baked texture to Chewy Chips Ahoy and praising colorful packaging, generous chocolate chips, fiber, and portion-controlled packs. Reviews also flag downsides: frequent dryness or “healthy”/aftertaste notes, small cookie size, inconsistent texture, and polarizing flavors (notably peanut butter), making them a better-for-you alternative rather than a true classic cookie replacement.

  • OMG…I think I have died and gone to heaven! These chocolate chip cookies by Joydays are pure bliss. I am definitely a sweet treat person and these hit the spot. The taste is wonderful, the texture is great, they are chewy and soft and the best part is they have only 3 grams of sugar and a whopping 5 grams of fiber. I have to be careful not to eat too many at once!

  • I tried the variety pack, and enjoyed these cookies. The texture is too soft for me, but the flavor is pretty good for healthy, low-sugar cookies!

  • I bought the variety pack because I wanted to try all three flavors - Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter, and Double Chocolate. But, in the end, they were just okay. Unfortunately, the chocolate chips didn't taste at all like chocolate to me; I understand it is a dark chocolate, but I think the sweetness of the cookie itself overpowered the dark chocolate it just tasted like I was eating a plain cookie with a crunchy texture. The Double Chocolate cookies, I could taste chocolate, but the texture was reminiscent of a protein bar I honestly couldn't finish that box (I ended up sharing it with my mom, who liked it more). I think the Peanut Butter was the better one from the variety - it had a pretty good texture and the peanut butter taste was just right. I found myself eating this flavor more than the other two, and was more creative as I ate them: sometimes I would make an ice cream sandwich with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, or I would chop up the cookies and sprinkle over vanilla Greek yogurt with sliced bananas and chopped pecans! Overall, I love that it is a woman-owned business, and their story and mission. I do like that they are a good alternative to your usual cookies especially if you're trying to be more aware of what you're eating. In the end, I probably wouldn't repurchase the other two flavors, except for the Peanut Butter cookies if I had room in my budget for snacks.

  • The only downside of this cookie is I had a difficult time finding it in Walmart and had to look up online where it was. While I would have thought it was in the food section (particularly the cookie aisle), the cookies were clear across the store in the diabetes section in the pharmacy section of the store. I think this is poor marketing because people aren't buying their diabetes testing tools while simultaneously looking for cookies. But anyway, I did find them and buy them to sample. They were small bitesize cookies and are very delicious. They don't have any flavors of sugar alternatives while still being low in sugar. A great, healthier choice when you're craving a cookie!

  • These have a good texture, but was not a huge fan of the taste. One of my kids liked them and the other didn’t. May be worth trying another flavor in the future. I do like the cheery packaging.

  • I enjoyed the joydays double chocolate chip cookies. They were soft and tasty. I used the thingtester discount, but I do think they are priced a little high for me to buy regularly.

  • Based on some of the negative reviews I expected these to taste like cardboard, but they were actually pretty good! Only a slight aftertaste of sweetener, and I felt better about eating them than I would a chips ahoy.

  • They are meh, I love that that they are trying to make a healthier cookie, but I won't buy them again because they aren't vegan

  • I have been trying to change my alimentation to a healthier one, but my sweet taste has been betraying me. My mom seeing my problem saw this brand and bought me some. And it has been a life changer! Now I am able to stick better to my diet, and I don't even have to left out sweet things!

  • These cookies were easy to locate on the shelf because of the bright pink box. I tried them and liked the soft texture and chocolate chip sprinkled generously throughout the cookie. The cookies are fairly high in carbohydrates, but low in sugar and I appreciate that. Overall, I enjoyed the JoyDays cookies and would be comfortable recommending them to friends and family looking to reduce sugar intake.

  • I understand this is a healthier cookie and I truly wanted to love it but it was too dry! The packaging and marketing definitely caught my attention enough to purchase the cookies but unfortunately the texture was something I couldn’t get passed.

  • They're really tasty, but I think they could be a bit bigger.

  • These cookies really satisfied my sweet tooth without all the guilt. I use them more as a post workout snack. The size and packaging makes it super convenient to have a few in my car to grab on the go.

  • It could be a goood choice for a no sugar diet otherwise not a great cookie.

  • These cookies looked great, and the texture was excellent. The taste, however, was not as good or sweet as I expected them to be. I still think they were filling for the calories and great for the price.

  • These were just ok. I liked the individually wrapped portions but the taste and texture were not the greatest.
